For the past couple months I wallowed in sleepy sadness wanting nothing to do nothing except shut out the entire world. Yesterday, I snapped out of it and told myself to get back into shape and completely focus on the moment and myself and quit worrying about the future.

My break up was just a nail to the coffin. My job ruined my self-esteem and confidence. Because of it I stopped being active and my physique was horrible. My nutrition was also crap. I say my job, but it was actually me, as I choose to focus on it, not on my women. She was left alone. Worst part is I became someone I don't even know. My nutrition and physique now are way, way better, but even that mentally and emotionally I am alien to myself. I used to be positive, supportive, sociable and driven. Didn't procrastinate, had everything organized. I used to love taking risk and new adventures. Now I am stuck in my mind and have to force myself to do anything. Take my advice: This time last year I was watching every break up video on how NO CONTACT gets your ex back. I split up with my ex over a year ago now and I was heartbroken. I was keeping a daily track on how many days we had been split up and I was a mess inside. THEY DON’T COME BACK. They never do. The only advice I can give you is: self improvement. For yourself. Get in shape. I lost 28 lbs, I got a better haircut. I started to perform better at work, I made more time for my friends & I attracted better women. The day I did finally saw my ex girlfriend came by, Then I realised that I’d improved and she hadn’t. You’ve gotta win for yourself. And once you take control of who you are, you win!! Seek for a better you, don’t seek for someone who didn’t think you were good enough.

Is it a good sign if my ex reaches out to ask how I’m doing every 1-2 weeks and then finally takes it a small step further and decides to share her life/career accomplishments with me? She broke up with me, I’ve been in no contact (even stayed silent on her birthday) and we’re separated but not officially divorced yet

Without knowing very many details, it sounds like she’s just keeping in touch to make sure you’re available if she still wants you. she’s still holding the power position going strong, no contact, put you in the power position, and it’s a real self-respect move as well as the new superpower.

@@jibberjabber2 you are entertaining conversations with her, and not advancing or escalating the conversation toward meeting up and dating again, she maintains the power position because she’s keeping you on a string/friend zoning you. You don’t ignore her, but if she does not accept your terms, which are to be in a romantic relationship when YOU want, then she is “running the show”. Right now she is bread crumbing or friend zoning you.

Really what is your other option? NoContact and indifference are the new SUPER POWER/a true self-respect-move. Period. And it is helpful in healing/moving forward, faster.😉 like ripping the bandaid off quick 💥. NoContact always works BECAUSE the sole intent is to get into the POWER POSITION. IF the ex comes back and you still want them, then that is the bonus only, not the purpose also, it allows you to DETACH which creates emotional disconnect and helps you to see “the ex” clearly, instead of through rose colored glasses. If they discarded you, THAT IS how you HAVE TO remember them…as someone who was cruel and threw you away, threw what you built together AWAY AS rotten trash. It requires rewiring the brain though. The brain wants to fix a problem. So it keeps you strategizing “the how” to fix it but THE ONLY way to truly disconnect and detach is by going no contact.

In my 34 years of my relationship and marriage, I have placed a significant amount of energy in the wrong places. From the start, my focus needed to be on improving myself so that I could be the Man I needed to be. Hi Hi Coach. When you’re the “dumpee”, all of these points are definitely experienced. Low self esteem, at least for me. You feel worthless. How can the “dumper” do this to me? I must have had an innate ability to help myself. I understood that I had to change in order to move myself forward. I’m stubborn, so I felt that gave me an advantage. Coach, can you do videos on ex baby mama’s? Because having a child brings a whole different dynamic. They play games, won’t let you see the baby, yet want all your money. If you take em to court for visitation. The court sides with them and you gotta pay way more money. At least in California.

My self esteem has never been an issue. It can't get any higher tbh. Quite frankly, my self esteem is extremely intimidating to insecure people, including my ex... Who, well you guessed it, has an extremely insecure attachment style (shocker!!!)

She left me over a month ago, i alreadry tried no contact but it only seems like she reached out to see how i was doing, i said i was doing good and we asked about how things are going in our lives, shes in college and i chose to stay and work, which seemed to be a big problem that broke us apart. I still dont know what i want to do in my life and lately it feels like I was only happy because i put her on that pedestal, and when she decicded she could find someone better, it broke me, I dont think i love myself, I always feel like theres so much to do to make others proud of me, i can never appreciate what I do for myself. I want to get over her but I know im not, i think about her constantly. Im just worried that if I have another shot with her, I dont make the changes i need to do to love myself and put myself on that pedestal.

i begged and chased her and tried to explain everything but in the end she said she wanted to be left alone to be free and get to know the new person and how she moved on so quickly just 2 weeks after breaking up while we were together for 6 years Then I watched videos about no contact and then I said yes to leaving her alone and then started no contact . whether everything I do is right ? How could she heal so quickly?
I was in the same boat, almost 12 years, the other person had "checked out" of the relationship for months before without talking about any issues, so my ex and yours had already been planning on moving on WHILE they were still in a relationship with us.... that's why she/he was able to move on so quickly while we thought everything was fine in the relationship. Is it a good sign if my ex reaches out to ask how I’m doing every 1-2 weeks and then finally takes it a small step further and decides to share her life/career accomplishments with me? She broke up with me, I’ve been in no contact (even stayed silent on her birthday) and we’re separated but not officially divorced yet
How does it feel to you? Without knowing very many details, it sounds like she’s just keeping in touch to make sure you’re available if she still wants you. she’s still holding the power position going strong, no contact, put you in the power position, and it’s a real self-respect move as well as the new superpower.

@@jibberjabber2 you are entertaining conversations with her, and not advancing or escalating the conversation toward meeting up and dating again, she maintains the power position because she’s keeping you on a string/friend zoning you. You don’t ignore her, but if she does not accept your terms, which are to be in a romantic relationship when YOU want, then she is “running the show”. Right now she is bread crumbing or friend zoning you.

Really what is your other option? NoContact and indifference are the new SUPER POWER/a true self-respect-move. Period. And it is helpful in healing/moving forward, faster.😉 like ripping the bandaid off quick 💥. NoContact always works BECAUSE the sole intent is to get into the POWER POSITION. IF the ex comes back and you still want them, then that is the bonus only, not the purpose also, it allows you to DETACH which creates emotional disconnect and helps you to see “the ex” clearly, instead of through rose colored glasses. If they discarded you, THAT IS how you HAVE TO remember them…as someone who was cruel and threw you away, threw what you built together AWAY AS rotten trash. It requires rewiring the brain though. The brain wants to fix a problem. So it keeps you strategizing “the how” to fix it but THE ONLY way to truly disconnect and detach is by going no contact.

In my 34 years of my relationship and marriage, I have placed a significant amount of energy in the wrong places.
From the start, my focus needed to be on improving myself so that I could be the Man I needed to be.
However, I chose to focus my energy on her and in turn have lost out due to not being confident, controlling, and selfishness when I couldn't get my way.
It's been a tough road and ai beat myself for not progressing with my life until she had left.
I have been feeling anxious lately and today the podcast was right on time. I recognize that I still am on this journey to recovery and redefining my self esteem.
