Thanks for the lap Misha! I was blown away! I should clear something up as people are rightly calling it out (I even thought the same when I heard how I said it). When I said 'original turbo', I meant its an original custom designed and built turbo, not the stock Garret GT1446. It was designed and developed by a friend of mine during lockdown. My car was the test car for it and is fitted with the first one he produced for the Evo. It's been on for over 20 or 30k now and still going strong. I didn't really get that across too well as my head was still spinning from the lap lol.
Specs: 'GTX300' custom turbo 3" downpipe into a 200 cell sports cat and custom exhaust (not 3" yet though unfortunately) Toyosport universal front-mount intercooler 3" intake with Proram filter 390cc injectors Big BOV (don't remember the brand, since removed because it runs better with the stock BOV and DV+) Hi-spark coil packs from Tuning Art Stage 1 cam from Multiair Tuning and Developments in Greece Uprated Multiair springs from Tork Motorsports BC Racing coilovers Carbone Lorraine brake pads Quaife LSD Traction control switch mod (hence the warning triangle on the dash ⚠) I think that's it? More planned this year. Little more on the turbo. As mentioned, it was designed and developed during lockdown by a mate of mine with parts and technical assistance from Garrett. He owns a garage in Worcester. It's a water and oil cooled ball bearing turbo with specially 'ridged' (for want of a better term) turbine blades to help 'bite' into the gasses and speed up the wheel a bit quicker. It's much lighter than the more commonly used TD04, and spools up much quicker. I think I lost no more than about 300bhp over the hybrid GT1446 it replaced. It's a really responsive turbo. Others fitted after mine reached much higher power. Mine was only running at 1.55bar at the time of this video. The limit on stock internals of these engines is about 1.75bar so they can take a bit more than I'm giving it. He's still developing options for his turbo range, including adjustments on later models that make them more plug & play, plus larger versions too.
Did you do anything to the exhaust, because your car sounds MEAN! I'm planning on getting one (as my first car 🤞) and that would be my first mod because wow I never expected a Punto to sound that great!
i have 105 hp punto and even that one needs an LSD like you cant use second gear because of the understeer, you need to send it in third and let the rear slide but your exits going to be shit because of low RPM.

I ordered my 695 too late in 2022, so i couldn't get the lsd. Actually i was lucky to get a 2022 model year at the last day they were accepting orders. They stopped offering the lsd at some point in 2022 and neither do they offer it in 2023 or 2024 models. If a 500 has a factory lsd, it is an early 2022 or older Abarth model.

That was learnsome in wise of car composition and handling. I'm gonna try such build in automation and test it in bng ofc. The swaybar in those passive tale hatches and overall wheel geometry is still a challenge for me, I'm good in engine and air induction, but suspension with brakes are so interveined. (in automation game guys! not real)

Very odd. At 8:33 even before Misha starts braking, the speedometer shows a sudden drop in speed from 90 to 70 mph... while Misha is still on the gas. What the hell?? Edit: Ohh, you know what? The footage is out of sync, that's why. The speedometer and main camera isn't synced up
"only doing 1.5 bar" wtf. That's a LOT of boost if you're not pumping hot air. Any turbo that can flow that cold and with decent cylinder head and turbine will throw a LOT of oxygen into the chambers!

For 260bhp on these i think you need hybrid T, remapping, upgraded intercooler, intake. Awesome cars regardless. Want one of these so bad.
Correct! Here they swap it for a TD04. With the standard GT1446 you go to about 215 ish.

I wish I never sold mine, managed to get my old one to 232bhp and that was mad enough! So planted and the noise is fantastic in every Abarth Punto Evo
