British comedy at its best with so many up and coming stars what a great time for Brian comedy there were so many great programs to watch it’s a shame those times will never happen again
I honestly love how from the very first moment they saw each other, it's obvious that Bruce really fancys Wendy too; he's just scared stiff of her (and the consequences he imagines for them being together) at the same time XD She is lovely too. Just my type of woman.
Not only do I remember the series with fondness but I remember this episode when the series was repeated in 1993 on UK Gold. Ever since the first episode, Marsh has been making life hell for Leckie and he finally gets his comeuppance from not just a fellow corporal but a female one and one who has got Bruce firmly in her sights. The reason why Get Some In! came about is because both Esmonde and Larbey did their National Service and, as for the sitcom's title, well, that comes from what was shouted at those who did National Service to 'get some experience in' or, in the case of National Service squaddies, to 'get their knees brown'!
10:32 3-F Smith: WIMMIN!!! (Dives head first) 10:55 Cpl Marsh: Anyone straying over that side will be HARPOONED! 13:18 Cpl Marsh: Breath! I ORDER YOU TO BREATH!!
Unusual how the Fibula & Tibia are so focused on this.. I was knocked of a scramble bike in 1976... St Johns ambulance man pulled off my boot & carried me to Ambulance.. Yes.. broken Fibula & Tibia... Made much worse by St Johns...
I think it was Marsh clocking that Ken knew he was up to something (as he later confirmed) so he deliberately kept him out the way so he could avenge Bruce

Hot damn - a woman who smokes and drinks pints - Corporal Wendy is my kind of woman.
Oh no you don’t I saw her first
Plus if necessary she'd have dragged
Marsh behind the motor pool and beaten seven shades out of him!. 🤣
I had a female RAMC Cpl just like Wendy when I went through Keogh Barracks. And one of the best Cpls I knew and that’s from an infantryman!
What year was that mate?
Yup we had a similar SACW (WRAF) medic at RAF Wattisham in the early 90's, she was ace!
@@Keyswiz71 she had 5 kills..brilliant.
"Breathe!, I order you to breathe!" LMAO
😂 top tier comedy .seen every episode 3x over and still gets a chuckle out of me
brings back a lot of menories. it was almost the same at raf swinderby in 1983
swinders still going ??? wafs were at spitalgate as i remember.............
Swinderby is now a housing estate.
Hemswell 1966.
Omg, that dive by corporal bastard was hilarious 😂😂😂
I watched this series
originally when I was stationed in England at RAF Lakenheath in 1976-78. Brings back a lot of memories
10:32 3-F Smith: WIMMIN!!! (Dives head first)
10:55 Cpl Marsh: Anyone straying over that side will be HARPOONED!
13:18 Cpl Marsh: Breath! I ORDER YOU TO BREATH!!
I am loving all of these. Thank you.
I don't know what Bruce's issue is, Wendy is well fit. lol
nerves mate, nerves. He is so used to a crap time of it i bet he was worried she'd say no
What does Well Fit mean?
@@carolinelynch2823 very attractive
Swimming while training at RAF St Athan 1967,scared stiff,Sergeant PTI hurling insults at me because I wouldn't leave the pool side, unhappy memories.
Anyone else choke up a little at Leckys speech to Wendy?
It's LECKIE - not fucking 'Lecky'! It's a Scottish spelling for fuck's sake!
Yes Corporal... : ¬ }
@@barbaraannecortina7899 Sorry Barbra

1:41 is that a young Ray Winstone over the Field Sergeants shoulder?
Yup, sure is. I saw somewhere he was in the series.
Wow I have watched 2 or 3 times and thanks for pointing that out..Wheres ya tool :)
Was Richardson a none swimmer in real life? They seemed to make an effort to write him out the pool scene?
I think it was Marsh clocking that Ken knew he was up to something (as he later confirmed) so he deliberately kept him out the way so he could avenge Bruce
That’s A Good Point
10:54. How old is that recruit to Marsh's left? He looks about 14.
With someone who behaves like Marsh, you have to teach him a lesson, N.C.O. or not!
Going to the NAFFI without a beret on?!
Was Richardson a non-swimmer (in real-life) hence why he was left out?
Probably unavailable for the filming.
Wendy's a good catch alright.
Its funny when Matthew talks about "Brian Tinglet"
Wow! What a woman!
HARPOOOONED
5.06 he says yes Corporal to the Flight Sergeant!
I wonder if Tony Selby actually did National Service as he was the right age to have been in towards the end.
I'm pretty sure he didn't. Unlike a number of actors from that period.
👍💜👍💜
That's it for me with these....that corporal isn't funny, he's just a vile bully.....ZERO redeeming features.
O
I am a regular, Get Some In
