I remember sneezing during a take of that shot, smearing the painted moustache. The makeup lady had to come and repaint it! So glad I've found this. the BBc said it 'didn't do the numbers', which mean it didn't get high enough ratings to be recommisioned, although that is not true. It did do well but it was a head of department change, who did not like the show, cancelled it on a whim.
(Small spoiler alert) Hilarious at 19 when George screams at his father in response to "You should have gotten a children's entertainer" - "We tried you stupid fool. He killed himself"
oh no, this is dreadful. 7 minutes of exposition confirmed this was not going to be good. it's a shame to see martin freeman's acting range is very narrow indeed. in fact, he reminded me of ronnie corbett's character in sorry. this is nothing more than a middle-class comedy that is predictable, tedious and drab. the bbc has got very conservative with its programming lately.

Top notch series, having a competent cast really helps.
Martin Freeman is in a T.V. series called Hardware which is sometimes on YT. Quite amusing.
