On the MK7 you found leaving the left side open worked better than using the whole grille. What makes it different on the MK8? Will you be making a new one for the MK7 to match?
Unfortunately there just isn’t the demand for it, especially with modification becoming increasingly period correct or even return to OE for older cars as they increase in value.
And how do you do the inlet for a GTI Clubsport MK7 where its the same turbo as Golf R compared to normal GTI? And what about the silicon? Sell separate package for Clubsport?
I know the be platform will do well with this intake design because vw’s for some reason repo da well to mods with a tune. Can’t wait to see and hear it. And off topic, why does the golf R still come with a prop rod for the hood?😂
Very interesting, what is the purpose of the stock grille primarily focusing airflow over the engine as opposed to the airbox? I am guessing you deem airflow over the engine unnecessary which is why you have blanked it out.
@@GARRYEASTON Looking at my Golf R stock air intake i have the airbox side blocked off possibly for rain by VW design. The other side is open for air flow to the turbo and over the engine . The VW design is doing hot and cold air at the same time, not great. The turbo is buried at the rear of the engine and needs some sort of cooling as well hence the design of doing two things at once....air flow over the turbo and into the turbo. This is going to do my head in lol
We all love eventuri let’s be honest . But did vw design the intake from the fair side with the flap opening in motion in the event of hitting a large pool of water thus avoiding a flow of water directly into the air box?
If you intend to go through pools of 3-4ft deep water then yes stick with OEM airbox. Very much doubt that was VWs intended purpose for the flap. All the possible reasons have been taken in to consideration by Bilal during design phase.
@@EvolveAutomotive I was trying to understand vws reason for making the engine pull air from such a distance ! They must be watching rufford ford TH-cam channel 😂😂😂
It’s an odd one. A possible reason is for extremely cold climates where heavy snow may be an issue. Have to remember an OEM is designing a car for all conditions, from -30c to 50c+
@@EvolveAutomotive looks like the stock air box has various bends and channels to trap water from rain and snow and other debris before it gets a chance to clog the filter. Does this air box design have a method to trap and drain rain water and mist before it gets to the filter or turbo inlet?
It does yes, Bilal has been in the comments replying. They’re designed and tested in the U.K., it’s pretty hard not to test them in moderate to heavy rain 😂
Just a question regarding the airflow from the front intakes the main intake is directly infant on the right ,the air coming in from the left would that still be going into the filter because the strongest flow would be on the right and the air coming in from the left would i guess have minimal effect so shortening the intake wouldn't be a problem.
Ordered a Pizza for this one. Everyone is very excited to see the new Eventuri BMW G8X M3/M4 for the S58, due 21 March 2022. Followed by Spider-man: No Way Home on 22 March. Then the new EVAero BMW G8X M3/M4 Front Bumper redesign. Ordered my Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake Ducts to compliment the Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake and Airbox Cover to complete my BMW E9X M3 S65 V8 Engine Bay. All about the #EventuriV8IntakeSound Thank you #BeckyEvans

As a designer, a learned more with this video than during my 5 year university career 😂👍
Awesome to see the engineering and design that goes into the finished piece, we love ours!

Right now i order for my Cupra Formentor 🥰 very nice video!
What a brilliant watch that was.
Absolutely fantastic explanation and pretty much a university tutorial. 👍 excellent 👌 keep it up bilal
I always love to watch these development videos , so relaxing and so informative!
Brilliant piece of engineering & fluid mechanics
Awesome video. The CFD demos had me engrossed.
I have found opening the blanked off section helps a lot!
Very good vidéo. A professionnal way of creation, conception and explaination of the product. Very good job !!
Great insight into the process and development be interesting to see air flow of the stock box
Very pleased with the Eventuri on my Mk7 R 👍👍👍
Looking great. Any thoughts on making this kits for the older classic generation? I.e mk2 16v? There is no current induction setup for it.
Unfortunately there just isn’t the demand for it, especially with modification becoming increasingly period correct or even return to OE for older cars as they increase in value.
@@EvolveAutomotive I guess your right. But I'm sure a lot would still buy as all these years there hasn't been anyone to develop them
Quality video with decent information and detail. Well done.
Hi this looks good and must improve performance! Is the Gti kit the same as what will fit 2021 Troc with 2 litre 140 kw and if so how much? Thanks
Please contact sales@eventuri.net who can confirm fitment of sister models
Wow !!
Bilal You are a genius !
Do Eventuri have cold air intake for Audi TTS 8S (2022) ?
I love these videos, amazing information from Bilal as usual.

Yes
Its alright having a streight through open duct but what about water, and not just puddles but heavy spray and mist?
There are drain holes in the duct.

I would love to hear why vw has designed it that way. I would say vw know what they are doing lol
@@GARRYEASTON I'm no designer but logic tells me cold airflow over the engine towards the turbo as VW has designed does make sense.
@@randallbezuidenhout3299 could logic say it’s for rain water also!

Would be nice to have this style for the Mk7.5 golf R

Will it be the R kit that fits the GTI clubsport, as they have the same turbo?
Eventuri can confirm this upon release.
I'm sorry, but I really like your watch. What model is it? 😅
Man now I wanna see this thing at VMAX with stock airbox and the Eventuri to see what difference it makes at speed.
Any concerns with the coolant hose as you see in the Racingline R600Evo?
great video. this dude is super smart.
Isn't the reason for the offset air opening and flap in the original ducting to prevent water being fed right into the filter ?
good question..

Great video. 👍
I wonder on stock car does it have any difference?
Performance testing to come in the next video!
Different levels...
Please do some development for the I30N or Veloster N 🙏🏻
Show me the comparative data: power gains over the OEM? more flattened torque and power curves? What purpose this mod?
