    glad you showed how to bleed, wait for thermostat to open up, and wait for fans to kick on.
    alot of people would have just poured the coolant in and left it alone

    Yes, it does look easy. But he doesn't go into the very beginning. Like taking off the hoses to the air filter assembly and its electrical connections. None of which are easy to access unless you've done this before. Outside of that, this is one of the better DIY Odyssey videos I've seen.

    My 03 Odyssey intermittently overheats or at least temp gauge shows it at H. Happens only sometimes. Replaced water pump 75k miles ago. Replaced thermostat and coolant temp sensor last year. Made sure jiggle valve was in right position. I wonder if it's that sensor on that thermostat housing?

    • @FixItAngel
      @FixItAngel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi, was the cooling system bled of any air? if there is an air pocket in the system. it will cause it to overheat sometimes.

    Is it necessary to drain the coolant?

    • @Hellgearone
      @Hellgearone 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really, but it's best that you drain it and put fresh coolant in. Your coolant will get a little acidic over time which will put wholes in ur radiator. It's a lot easier to chance the coolant than the radiator.

    Bro i replace mine two weeks ago with the failsafe thermostat and it was fine 180F but today I’ve noticed something weird like while driving the temperature drops slowly almost to cold position I don’t if the thermostat that i got was faulty

    • @FixItAngel
      @FixItAngel  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      fredy Calderon hi Fredy, replace the failsafe thermostat to a regular thermostat. That’s what I would do. I don’t use fail safe thermostats. It will have you second guessing if you use those thermostats.

    • @thexflexclan
      @thexflexclan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fix It Angel thanks bro i decide to change it cause my van just got 200k lol the thermostat was still good i thought that was bad cause I couldn’t get heat like i have it before but when i remove it it looks okay i test it on boil water it opens and close it the issues was air buckets i bought a funel and it works now but i didn’t know about the failsafe it’s weird i will replace it wirh a new one what do you think should get one of those from the dealer or the one you bought was okay?

    • @FixItAngel
      @FixItAngel  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      fredy Calderon the aftermarket is ok but dealer is better.

    • @thexflexclan
      @thexflexclan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fix It Angel i just top off the coolant but still don’t get the actual temperature it just stay on cold for 5 mins even if i driving

    • @FixItAngel
      @FixItAngel  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      fredy Calderon you still have air pockets in the engine. Drive your car for 10 minutes. Let car sit for 2 hours when engine is cold.
      Then open radiator cap, if no coolant, fill again more coolant.
      If temperature still cold.
      Repeat again procedure.
