Here are the 13 steps from this video: 1. Remove radiator plastic cover and grill push pins 2. Remove A/C condenser and radiator brackets 3. Remove 3 bolts holding hood latch 4. Detach lower radiator hose - let the coolant drain into container 5. Remove upper fan shroud bolts 6. Disconnect reservoir hose and upper radiator hose 7. Lift car 8. Remove lower transmission lines and A/C condenser fan shroud bolts 9. Remove lower A/C condenser fan shroud bolts BUT don'r remove fan shroud 10. Remove radiator fan shroud 11. Lift and tilt the bottom of the shroud past the bottom radiator and ATF hose connectors 12. Remove center support bracket 13. Take out radiator
Rafał Chłopek QUESTION I HAVEA HONDA ODDESEY 2001 but under the radiador there like a pieace tht has 2 host but iol is leaking from it idk what the name of the part do have any idea ?? Idk if i explain it well but i try lol
Thank you for taking the time to make this excellent video! I much appreciate the succinct content and fast video motion. Glad to see the driver's side fan can be removed w/o removing battery and battery box (OEM service manual removes them to R&R that fan).
there's a bunch of vids on YT showing how to chg an Odyssey radiator - everyone does it according to their thought process. for me, i like the one where u drain the radiator FIRST - not 10 steps down the line. once the coolant is drained, you're free to take it out however u wish ... just sayin' ✌🌞
Thanks for this video!! I hit a deer with my near-perfect condition 2004 honda odyssey (sorry mr deer :( ) and using this video has helped me a TON as a reference for rebuilding the front end. It's nearly done :D
Thanks for the video.. super helpful. A couple different lower brackets on the atf line to the radiator. But overall spot on.. should have read comments and known to remove battery to get fan out.. 😂
Really good video! I wished that I would have slowed down and saw the part where you connected the transmissions lines before reinserting the cooling fans...next time I'll know better.
Yes. You are correct. But if the customer had changed to a different color, I'm not going to twist his arm to flush his system out to replace it with Honda blue. And I'm not going to lie telling him if he doesn't change to Honda blue, his cooling system will be in jeopardy.
The latch has some movement via the mounting bolts. Try keeping the bolt loose (hand tight), close the hood, see if the latch connected, re-release the latch then apply torque to the mounting bolts.
Did anyone else come here because their Odyssey heats up? My radiator fans turn on pretty quick when I have the AC on. Like in less than a minute or two. Already changed the thermostat, the fan itself and the fuse. I feel like it heats up way to fast triggering the fan to turn on. All my other Toyota's don't do it as often As my van. Thanks!
You have 2 fans; one for the radiator the other for the ac condenser. Turn on the ac and the ac fan will automatically engage to cool the hot refrigerant gas going into the condenser.
@@marcusperez9777 I've had to replace my AC compressor before and had to take the bumper, headlights and radiator out in order to put it in. I didn't have to flush the coolant, but are you saying there's a few extra unnecessary steps in the video? I'm currently trying to replace my radiator for the 04 model.
Replacing this radiator is a freaking nightmare. It looks easy in the video. It was designed very poorly by honda. No wonder every shop charges an arm & a leg for labor. $500 to $1300 i was quoted
It's time consuming if you've never done it before and don't have the right tools. Getting off the hoses is difficult if you don't have a hose spring clamp removal tool.

I wish I would of checked the comments b4 I wrote all the steps down myself. Lol. Thanks for the steps! Now i ss.
You bet.
Do you really need that funnel and fitted cap the funnel goes into at the end?

Okay ... thanks.
Thanks man. Doing this today on my 2000 Honda Odyssey 🛠
Did it work?
Ty didn't know how to tear down. Saved My ass

A lot of obstacles in the way to get to the drain plug perhaps.

Very helpful but what are sizesof the bolts

Somebody knows the name of the part that is in front of the radiator? The one that looks like a radiator too?
It's called an air conditioner condenser.

Thank you very much!!!!
Does Denso 221-3214 Radiator fits perfect on Honda odyssey 2002. Has anyone try it
That right! DENSO 2213214
Shouldn't the coolant be blue?

Anyone have issues with their hood hatch not latching after they put it back together? Please let me know what you did to fix it!

thank you..but to much to remove for just radiator ..
I know. That's why the auto service centers charge so much money for a repair.
I know ... but that's how Honda designed it.
thanks you so much for your help..it took me longer but its done..🙏thank you .
Great! High sense of accomplishment when you do it your self?
Hardly Moving Productions last friday..really thank you so much..

Just noticed the battery was removed.
Battery need not be removed if not removing the ATF lines from the transmission.
Do you also have to remove the metal battery tray to get to the transmission side of the hose?
Sloppy as hell but the job got done.
Whatever works ... right?
Could have removed the front bumper and slid out the radiator with the fans attached

Just take the bumper off a lot easyer then messing with all that extra stuff u don't need to touch
