Got my sub - i plan to LS swap my early model sedan (ms43 328i 5spd) M52 is still being a trooper at 266k miles. Plan on driving the car with this motor until it goes , i wanna hit 300k but who knows lol i dont beat it or drift it , just a daily driver/project. Ill be referencing your vids as they are full of Useful information
That's crazy it so happens I have a E46 330ci I put a 5.3 LS1 intake stock exhaust manifold to a single gt45 turbo it's amazing it all fits in there too
I'll be swapping my coupe soon so thank you for this insight. I just have a couple quick questions (and more long questions lol). 1. It looks like your shifter bracket is shorter than stock cd009. Was that necessary for proper alignment? 2. To keep as a daily, what do you recommend as the simplest CANBUS solution/bypass? The translator through Wiring Specialties seems to require that you leave unnecessary things (ABS, airbags, etc.) untouched to work properly. This and a budget fueling plan are my biggest obstacles right now.
im using the serialnine relocation shifter for the cd009. Fits amazing! For can bus, i have not done a setup as such yet but do plan on doing one eventually on a different build.
@@battletested4061 I didn't want the alternator so high but it's more practical than running and paying for an f-body pump if I already have the BMW PS pump. Which spacing did you go with the truck, Camaro or corvette? I'm just not sure if I'll need extra room for fans yet so I might go corvette
Hey, I'm swapping my e46 (ls6/t56) combo, how do u have your clutch hooked up? I have it connected from t56 straight into e46, but clutch is EXTREMELY heavy. Do u have that problem?
Theres an adaptor to AN line. I used that. The ls was originally in a 240sx so i used the 240sx line all the way to the engine bay. From there i took the line and the slave to a hose place and they made the line to the length i asked for. Thats pretty much how all that panned out.
I wouldn’t say afraid. Many people in our circle are 1 or 2jz. For me it’s cost. Very easy for us to get a 6.0L with minimal changes and run them for years. Jz in the states are very expensive now.
@@ROGUESPIRIT_ I’m not against any bmw engine either. I had the whole swap when I got the chassis so was easy for me to swap. Easy power and reliability so I couldn’t pass up.
This could not of come at a better time. Super helpful. Your car is baller.
Hello fellow e46 lsx swap friend. I have a 325i with a ls1 and t56 been dailying it for 2 years on an angle kit too. Keep up the good work boss
You on any e46 fb pages. Would like to see your car
@@Vgk36 yeah I'm on bmw LS swaps I'm also on e46 fanatics and sloppy mechanics public page
You should definitely try to record more of this man
Working on it. Hopefully more in the next month.

Oh shit, you're BattleE46 lmao, VR drifters here.
I just picked up a e46 sedan that’s bone stock I plan on getting a ls3 for it soon
I plan to do the same, full on drift car tho. Good luck on your project!
Same but a 5.3 vortec
I got a ‘05 coupe that I plan on doing a full drift build with, should be fun. Happy wrenching on these German beauties!

You definitely deserve more subs, I’m planning on this swap, so it’s helpful for me haha
Thank you! Next video im trying to get more info in. Theres just a good amount that could be covered and i dont want 20+ minute videos.
dope! looking forward to the next vid i plan on doing a swap to my e46 sedan also
Thinking of building one myself, what did you do for your driveshaft situation?
Thank u so much dude
Do more videos this is sweet. Do you have the bracket you're running for the power steering to run the BMW pump in another video? i need deets
Im going to try to! The bracket for the bmw pump is a ICT billet adapter to run bmw pump and LS1 alternator with fbody accessories.

What engine is this? I want to drop in a vortec like 4.8 or 5.3 but cant find mounts anywhere. Know anywhere I can get them from?
Around what do think was the cost for parts and labor ? For the swap ?
5 years ago, in total, i spent around 6k to get it going. Prices may be different now
Hey, I'm swapping my e46 (ls6/t56) combo, how do u have your clutch hooked up? I have it connected from t56 straight into e46, but clutch is EXTREMELY heavy. Do u have that problem?
clutch is the oem bmw slave cylinder going to a oem t56 throwout bearing. Clutch is a 700hp monster clutch. My clutch is pretty light.
What trans mount are you running
what wheels are those ? the ones in the front
Ima hit you up soon. Wanna do my 99 323 since I got a 330ci
What did you do for driveshaft for cd009 to bmw diff?
What radiator hoses did you use? Plan to use a Nissan rad as well
I used a silicone bottom hose that i had already and for the top hose i just went to oreillys and found a hose that had 2 90s and cut it to fit.
What starter did u use with the t56 bellhousing
since im using collins adapter to cd009 im just using a stock LS starter. Can use any LS starter.
How did you get the clutch line made with the line being pinned in did you just thread it and send it?

Hey man can you send me your tune file for the micro squirt pls
Do you run an accusump or any other oil accumulators?
I do not. Just holley 302-1 oil pan and the baffle inserts from holley. Dont have a issue with oiling while drifting.
Where did you get the engine brackets
CX racing
E46 awd. Can you swap for an ls3
In theory anything is possible. Just will take a lot more money and a good amount of fabrication
What headers are you running?
CX racing
rear end set up?
I’ll go over more of that next video. Stock auto diff welded with oem axles.
Any issues with breaking axles or diff ?
