these two are cutest Chinese guys I've seen...
So....because I live nowhere near a good place to eat serious Chinese food, I was inspired by your videos (about Xiaolongbao) to MAKE them. It happened, tonight, complete with black vinegar and ginger dipping sauce. Soooooooooooooooo yummy!! Thank you, from the bottom of my wee, tiny heart, for introducing me to this--and other--amazing, honest to goodness Chinese dishes.
My tummy was grumbling the whole time! And looking at your faces made it even worse.
I do exactly what they say not to. I put the whole thing in my mouth, but I just wait until it's a reasonable temperature first. I like this because I get the soup bursting out in my mouth. I just dip the outside of the dumpling in some vinegar in my spoon first, and lay a strip of ginger on it.

I just eat the soup dumplings whole. Lol

The more videos I watch the more I think Mike is the one for me hahaha. Love for (loads of) food, check, cute, check. Haha. This food is making me hungry.
no wonder Mike doesn't taste much of the shrimp; that much dipping sauce will overpower the shrimp-y taste definitely.

I really wish there were more authentic Chinese restaurants. Seems the only time you can get one though is in large metro cities where there is a large Chinese population. I understand why that is, but I can't help but be disappointed by the fact that Americanized Chinese is on every corner while the real stuff isn't popular enough to be given a chance.
