The audio on pocket 3 is actually surprisingly good!
I just copped both the Action 4 and Pocket 3 for some event videography. The fact i can have the pocket 3 standing on the stage following the performers and being able to control it completely through the app is just insane.

@@michaelbell75 well the difference is negligible. If you want easy shooting go with the Pocket 3. If you really want quality then go with Panasonic or Blackmagic...
I’ve had my osmo pocket 2 forever and have captured so many things with it. I have the nd filters and anamorphic lens for it. I’ve dropped it and use it time and time again and have loved they have came out with another one because they’re great. But the price kinda sucks in that it seems a little high. Then again everything is higher in price these days.

I was planning to upgrade my ZV1 to ZV1M2. But now seeing that Osmo Pocket 3 also has the same 1 inch as ZV1M2 and very similar wide angle (18 mm f1.8 on ZV1M2 vs 20 mm f2.0 on Pocket 3), but with gimbal instead of digital stabilization, looks like I will just buy the Pocket 3 instead.
Had a similar thought however, the Sony is better for photography with the built in zoom lens. So it depends on your use case. The Osmo Pocket 3 does look good though. Personally, I like the ability to shoot either video or photo. Sony also has more affordable batteries. Different tools IMO.
@@coreymach_ I bought ZV1 for video only, to record my family activities/vacation. you know, like camcorders back in the days. As for photography, I have another camera dedicated for that.
you not using zoom in ur videos? It can’t replace zv1m2 but zv 1f, fixed lens… 😅😅
@@user-lu6lg2yl2q I rarely use zoom on my ZV1, because the zoom motor is loud and can be heard on video. Almost always used on widest angle.
Oh, and it took more than half an hour to transfer a 6-minute video from the camera to my phone via their Imaging Edge app. That’s crazy slow.
Many people actually think that ZV1 Mark II is not worth the upgrade from ZV1. It is much better to get DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and use it alongside ZV1.

Pocket 3 is a solid all rounder💪 especially in the creator bundle. I still got zv1 I and it's not perfect, but combined with pixel 7 and external mic it's quite good combo too👍

Thanks for the nice video. Have you perhaps also tested the livestream function on TH-cam? I've seen a lot of videos about the Pocket 3, but so far none that explain the live stream function and options.
I would like to know if I can connect my iPhone 13 Pro and then see the comments from my viewers on the iPhone screen during the livestream.
My livestream experience with the osmo action 3 is not good, and I think the pocket 3 is kind of the same to operate. I really would like to buy the pocket 3, but first I want to know if the TH-cam livestreaming works good.

No doubt those footage are the best … and the low light videos are just awesome.. But It has a movable screen .. And How many opening/closing cycle will it perform or last?? what if it breaks ??

Really enjoyed that Kai, solid review with everything I needed to know! I had a Pocket 2 and ended up selling it as the focus wobbled and I couldn't use it for effectively framing products for b-roll. What's the smallest object that it will focus on and just about fill the frame with vs the ZV? I'm guessing the ZV might be able to focus a bit closer, but not 100% sire. Either way, active steadyshot makes the ZV way less useful than it could have been in terms of the crop and the modest stabilising when walking. Also, can you plug a third party USB mic into the USB C port? That'd be good if you don't have the DJI wireless system... Cheers!

So you trow away the Pocket 3 in 2 years maximum when battery no longer charges.
@@meninim5054 same for every phone, tablet and most laptops. It's a curse on all consumer electronics as we demand smaller and thinner devices. At least the Pocket 3 has a battery attachment option.
They should take the 3 camera gimbal head from the Mavic Pro, stick it on a RS3 battery grip, put a bigger screen and make an Osmo Pro. It's an untouched market. It's ideal for travel and would save a lot of room and time from bringing an balancing your camera on an RS3. DJI, make this happen, please!
That’s how the Osmo line actually began about 8 or so years ago. Do a search for the Osmo Pro/Raw - I wish they’d update that for 2023/2024 - basically make a consumer version of the Ronin 4D.
@@edancohen3461 Yeah, the original pro was too expensive because of the interchangeable lens. I used to have the osmo handheld. They should update that one. I don’t need the interchangeable lens since I already have Sony bodies.
You're the only reviewer I've watched so far that captured the 3-press button to change to selfie mode. Thank you! I actually can't stand the 3-press function because in my Pocket 2, it doesn't always register or I click too fast or too slow, and instead of turning the camera around, it changes shooting modes (i.e. video to photo, photo to video). It's not until I get home to import my files that I find all the footage is photos, not video. I wish DJI would have a dedicated button for it or have the shooting mode function shortcut housed elsewhere.
was really hoping they'd let us edit shortcuts on this one the triple click should have been dedicated to switching between camera follow modes rather than shooting modes which are honestly rarely used in comparison

I still use my osmo pocket 1 which has grown my TH-cam channel and offers smooth video for vlogging. It’s so stealth and I’m thinking it’s time to get the pocket v3 vs gopro shaky bs.

How long does it usually take after launch?
@@timetraveler_0 Retours in most EU countries are by law within 14 days after delivery. So if buyers in EU countries return their products and DJI needs some days to check it and clean it and repackage it, my wild guess is four weeks???

Can the stabilization be dialed down?
I'm Currently using my S22 on a tripod with a wireless audio mic , with the mic attached to my lapel, i video myself in fishing matches and edit them and put them on my you tube channel . I now want to get a camera for doing this job, i am thinking Go pro 12 or DJ action 4 , or would the sony ZV-1F do the job . But i must be able to have a wireless Mic attachment as the camera will be away from me and there will be wind noise on some occasions . I also need to be able to hit record from a remote as i will be sitting on my seat box and i cant keep getting up and down during a match.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated .

Hi, I just bought Osmo Pocket 3, how to set high bitrate? I'm getting 80-85 Mbit/s and the manual says the maximum is 130 Mbit/s? in what mode is this possible? The user manual says that the maximum bitrate is 130 Mbit/s, but I'm not even close to 130.
DJI are a seriously impressive company, up there with Apple and Tesla in the way they're constantly developing and improving despite being market leaders in their respective fields, certainly my favourite company to come out of china.
Apple and Tesla are hardly innovative these days, and haven’t been for atleast a decade especially talking of Apple. Tesla plateaued like 5 years ago, turns out that conventional car manufacturers know how to make better cars - internal combustion engines or battery driven motors no bar. Mass transit is the future anyway, cities need to be car free for environmental reasons, but also just livability - people don’t want to spend half of their lives in traffic jams.

@@SYKOK1LLER good for you, time to move to the villages as more and more cities ban private cars from city centres. Luxembourg, one of the richest per capita countries has 6 lanes on the main street of its city centre. 2 for trams, 2 for bikes, 2 for cars and very wide footpaths in both directions. Public transport there is completely free by the way, they did it to avoid regular traffic jams and it's working pretty well. 2 lanes for car traffic for any capital city in the western world, just two. The city buses share the same lanes by the way.

Now, I see there is not much difference between these two, and it has almost convinced me that the Pocket 3 is slightly better in terms of stabilization. I would be very happy if you could make another comparison video of the Sony ZV1-m2 and the Osmo Pocket 3, focusing on colors, and I'm eager to hear your opinion about it.👏👏
ZV1-M2 has no lense stabe and Sony crippled all the video modes. Pocket 3 has killed ZV1 like until Sony stops crippling it.
The zv1 has a stacked BSI sensor that Sony then cripples to protect the APSC line which was available at the time. Very sad!!!
You see there is not much difference??? Get your eyes checked please, I'm genuinely worried for you because sight and vision help to connect people with their surroundings. Our world is filled with an extreme variety of colors, shapes, and patterns. Sight gives us the ability to perceive movement, and vision gives us the ability to make assessments about that movement.
@@stac I use different gear for different purposes when I shoot, and I can see myself using the Pocket 3 for the same occasions that I would use the ZV1-m2. You may have your own opinion and choose the camera you prefer and no need to worry about my vision.

This was a surprisingly short video on the Pocket 3 with many questions left unanswered. Can you dial down sharpness and noise reduction? Is the wireless mic recording in 32-bit floating point, or what are the recording settings? The audio interface might be the biggest selling point of this camera, so it's odd not to mention it properly.
There are several sharpness settings.
Is their sensor 12.80 X 9.60 mm?

Does the gimble camera move a lot up and down while walking as it does with the Osmo Pocket 2?
It depends how you walk. This applies to all gimbals without z-axis stabilization.

I have shot all the videos in my channel with Sony ZV1. All talking head studio videos. I love the camera. It's the only one i have (and could afford). If my channel starts earning, then i would like to get another camera for a second angle. Perhaps DJI will launch a compact camera by then

No, it doesn't rotate, it's just a vertical crop (up to 3K video quality).

the gimbal would be too big if it rotated. look at the full gimbal of the mini 3 pro.
@@truthseeker6804 it would be the same size just rotate sideways. The design is "bigger" on the drone because it needs the motors on each side of the body to stabilize. This, just like the 2 already turn sideways after powering off. Seems like they could make it go true vertical. oh well
@@Cmolejon wrong. when the p2 turns sideways after powering off you lose the tilt axis, the pan axis becomes half due to gimbal lock, and only the roll axis is full functional. so therefore its no more a 3 axis gimbal. it would work like turning off stabilization in an action camera, which is unusable. technically the only way to get it to work is to have the motors at the sides like the drone, so it can also have both the tilt and pan fully functional.

Who told you that?? There is no mode labeled as "HDR." There is a new "HLG" mode (4k at 60 fps).
what about overheating?
Iphonedo tested it and recorded 120min @4k60 until battery died. So no overheating..

I use the FeiyuTech gimbal camera for my vids are looks better than the Dji Osmo Pocket. The audio sucks with the FeiyuTech however.
