Love how DJI never stops pushing the limits. They do not always make great things. But they make a lot awesome stuff. My current best experience is the Air 3 drone❤❤❤
Pretty solid update. Image quality is solid (like a ZV1) but with a proper builtin gimbal and overall smaller package with wireless audio. The most important part is getting the camera out and filming and the Pocket 3 is awesome for this!
The problem : "Dear Thank you for contacting DJI Technical Support. We are grateful to assist you with your concern. Regarding your situation, we are sorry to inform you the main camere battery cannot buy singlely, we recommend you to buy the battery handle to help yo solve this issue. This could also help you solve the battery life issue." So you trow away the Pocket 3 in 2 years maximum when battery no longer charges.
@@meninim5054 Batteries naturally degrade, but they usually don't completely stop charging in just two years. Maybe try it out before making a call on that.

Finally they updated this one... finally it's at a level that makes it a confident portable choice... amazing for travel vlogging at those times you can't be wiping out a big camera setup... through airports or small shops etc
95% of people would notice the difference if you switch to an phone, even a new iphone with log, but 5% would notice the difference if you switched to this Pocket 3, so awesome, for me the best tech of the last years
Just ordered the Creator’s Combo and yes, it is definitely bang for buck. High quality image with a built in gimbal? It will cost even more on the Zv-1 Mk2 + gimbal 😅 Wow oh wow! The image quality is a really big step up from Pocket 2. No more blown out image like before 😆
This is smaller than a ZV-1 II + gimbal and it records 10-bit footage unlike the ZV-1 II. The Pocket 3 doesn't have a zoom lens though and it records audio to lossy AAC rather than uncompressed PCM
@@JKTDELICACY i had the same scenario as you before. I did not regret selling my ZV1 and opt for the Pocket 2 during that time. It depends on your need as you may like the zoom and camera function on the ZV2 😉
Great review! I love how you took it to different spots to highlight how the camera would behave in different conditions. Removing the fuzzy thing from the mic was also very helpful to demonstrate the difference in audio quality. This was a very thorough review. This is perfect timing! I was literally waiting to buy the Pocket 2 on BF and now it’s a no brained to grab the Pocket 3! Lots of info presented here and enough for me to make my decision.
I will never forget the time I spent at the Korean Bell and walking down to the "stairway to ocean". I used to travel all the way from Pasadena on public transport. Sitting around all these spots early in the morning covered by the misty morning air and glow. Perfect place to fly my dji mini 2. Thanks for the throwback :)

At last THE POCKET 3 has arrived thanks for your video showing what it’s capable of I loved my pocket 2 but it over heated when connected to the app I have the Ronan 4D but now what to see DJI do something in between these two cameras like the original osmo only better

It's almost like you're showcasing the issues this camera could solve if someone buys it. You're really doing a lot for DJI on this one, and they didn't even sponsor it! I hardly ever watch reviews, especially for products I wouldn't normally use, but your video almost convinced me to get my own POCKET 3!

I’ve always criticized small camera harshly and thought their camera quality was very bad despite what reviewers said. This time I am actually surprised by the video quality, it’s really good!
Not sure why DJI didn't make it so that the camera would just flip to portrait mode when you want to shoot in vertical so you don't have to crop in. I wonder if it's because the 1" sensor is possibly a 4:3 sensor?

@@iamwisdomsky I don’t think you understand how gimbals work. Look up how the gimbal of DJI mini 4 (not mavic) is shaped. The attach point is on the backside and it holds the gimbal on both sides for y-axis. You don’t want that bulk in the Pocket series. Also camera cannot turn to vlog mode in DJI mini’s way.
Wow. Why aren't any of the core manufacturers doing any of this kind of innovative UX design? I haven't seen such amazing functionality options since I bought my Ricoh GRIII. These big brands are living in the past. 😮
As someone who wants to get his youtube channel going and impress with video quality, this camera doesn't feel like the best choice. I love, however, how small and handy it is. Having a big camera is great when I can plan my shoot, create a shot list, save some time for shooting the video. But when I'm with my wife and three daughters and I want to film some great locations for families, a big camera is just a burden. I love that you mentioned how people react (or don't react) to the Pocket 3. It might be a great solution for filming reviews of family-friendly locations.
kind of a shame they could not make the last motor rotate 90° for vertical shots honestly, it’s become, for better or worse, an unavoidable style of shooting so having 9:16 full sensor too would have been great
Yesss the pocket 3 this might just be the perfect point and shoot camera to date . Pricing is steep but still comparing to a one inch cameras out there it still beats plus stabilization and wireless mic. pretty good deal

I feel like I always miss seeing you at the PV locations by a day or two max. Someday I'll run into you and say hi! This camera is the first generation that's really peaked my interest. The previous generation needed good light to look right, and the focus hunting was bad. This one looks quite amazing, and the wireless mic setup is money.
Love your idea for after market case. Shame there is no 3.5mm audio jack I already have a wireless mic. I hate apple for leading the way on getting rid of a really good standard jack.

The Osmo Pocket 3 is the best camera I've ever owned. It's small, lightweight, and easy to use, but it produces stunning 4k 60fps footage. I'm so happy with it.
Thank you for the insight...nit picking here but the one thing DJI "missed" on this is a "tilty" pull out screen option..for those low angle hand held shots or even the high angle shots when you put it over your head per say..even if consumers don't use it..the option of it being there just incase is nice to have..haha

Those low light shots are unbelievably clean. I didn't see Pocket 2 as an upgrade but the Pocket 3 is clearly a huge step up from the OG Osmo Pocket.

You should recommend them making an Osmo Pro. Take the 3 lens gimbal camera on the Mavic 3 Pro and put it on an RS3 battery grip. I'd buy it instantly
DJI outdo themselves again! I owned the Osmo Pocket 1, it is time to upgrade! The bigger screen and bigger sensor make so much sense!

Currently using the Sony Zve1 with a 16-35 wide lens. I love it, but the Osmo 3 can do what I need it to do and it fits in my pocket.

Good question. The only info available is that it was designed for this camera; not for some other camera. I guess they expect to sell a lot of them.

And I believe that one of their drones can do this too. I think the mini can film vertical and horizontal if you want to.

I bought it just for doing a vlog on a cruise tomorrow! Much easier to carry than my FX3/ GoPro combo.
