I’ve watched this video Atleast 10 times now. I’m in love with this setup and it has given me so many ideas for the future. I’m looking forward to your future updates of Shark Reef in your new home brother! Hope all is well.
I like your videos a lot because you’re relatable and I don’t feel like you’re trying to sell me something like others whose tanks or equipment were given to them.
I love your videos! they are so informative and your reef is incredible! will you be setting it up with the same kind of format after you have moved? would love to see some videos about the moving process and how you move your tank and reset it and the fish and corals moving process 🙂
Tank looks amazing i love the peninsula and aquascape. I have a barebottom lagoon and will definitely consider putting a white plastic bottom in when i move to brighten it up.
Puff Daddy Reef oh OK cool, well I hope your move went well or is going well. Hopefully you kept your tank, you can update us soon on how it was situated
Hi new here .questions the blue fish u have .what is it !? New to keeping a shark trying to lean as much as I can before the egg hatches .thanks for the food video I'm going to get some of that .
love the vids man, hope the move goes well. also i have recently purchased a 40 gallon marine aquarium and was wondering what fish you would reccomend and what would you reccomend the centre piece fish to be
Sorry for the slow reply. Lots of good options for a 40 gallon. Clown fish are my favorite. A pair of firefish and Bangai cardinals would be cool. An orange spot blenny would add some personality. Also a jawfish if you have a good lid and relatively deep sand.
Hello I love your tank and I will want an epaulette shark in the future. I was wondering what is the minimum size tank it can live in full grown and how often will I need to clean and water change a tank? Also how expensive is the set up overall?
I spent around 5K on my setup. However, I have expensive lights that I use for growing coral. If you just want a shark tank you could probably get a big enough tank, lights, and pumps around 3.5K. I will still need to upgrade. He is only 12.5 inches (at 2 years old) right now, so a 150 is fine (2ftx2ftx5ft) but it would not be big enough for a 2.5 foot shark. I would recommend a 2 foot by 8 foot footprint for a full grown shark or a 3 foot by 6 foot footprint. Since they spend most of there time on the bottom, the surface area at the bottom of the tank is more important that the total water volume. Keeping it clear of rock piles or having an elevated aquascape like I do helps.
Hey awesome video 👍I just got me an Epaulette Shark I think he’s around the 20cm mark had him for about a week so far he’s awesome!, he’s in my 6foot reef tank just wondering how big do they get it says on the internet around 70 cm to 90 cm, as 6ft is all I can keep him in. Do You feed at night or in the day when I drop food in the other fish beat him to it most times any tips on feeding I have been cutting up into little cubes ? 😊
Here is my shark feeding video: th-cam.com/video/MPApen1KnJs/w-d-xo.html How are the sharks doing? they will probably get to be 2.5 feet. A 6 foot tank should be fine for at least the first 3 years of the shark's life. Note sure about after...I am only 2 years in.
Great video! I believe we are going to get one for the 1000 gallon saltwater setup we are putting together now. Your channel is full of knowledge, thank you! Be sure to check us out on TH-cam!

Thanks! I like the look. Even when it gets a little dirty, it just looks a little more natural.
Branching GSP is crazy! I've never seen that before. Cool tank man.
Thanks. Very cool coral.
Glad you are not getting rid of the tank. I have the same tank and learn alot from your vids.

Good job Puffy.
lol. Thanks!
I just cycled my 425xl. Your tank is beautiful . Any advice for someone setting up a new Red Sea
Thanks. Take it slow at first, and then load her up!
Which salt did you used in this awesome clear aquarium?
Tropic Marin Reef.
I'm about to set up a 400 gallon it's 84 long 40 wide and 30 tall and can't decide If a shark will be to destructive to my reef or not
Hey man. We need one more update.
I would wonder if a full grown one would pick off a few of the smaller fish but I think growing out with small fish present ought to help.
Generally once they get larger they get more lazier. But some one different.

I use a cannon EOS M6 and an iPhone 11. Pro. This video was shot on the iPhone. Normally I do intros with the cannon.

Are you moving ? Lot's of moving-ish stuff in the background.
