I worked on this video, as assistant to the director. I’m at 1:24 and various other points throughout. It was a long shoot and a lot of fun. We finished about six the next morning after an early start the previous day. No sleep for well over 24 hours.I got on well with all the band and was on call to assist them in their performances. Really lovely bunch of people. That red paint took days to get off though. I went shortly after with the director to watch them play at the Brixton Academy. I had a beaming smile when Skin saw me at the bar in the afterparty and shouting “Leon!” ran across the room and gave me a hug. Great song, great band and great memories.
In the 90ies MTV had not been fully commercialized, thus Music was pushed in the middle that is now, MTV being fully commercialized, being pushed at the borders. 🙁
If you compare their notoriety to Spice Girls’ fame, sure they were underrated,... But, in general they weren’t. They were on any indie radio,... at least in Europe

What have we become... where are we going... life seems crazy now... I miss a time where life seemed better or was I just nieve and blind to what and why.... like if u feel anything anymore....
When I was younger, my sister and I were in an actingschool. My sister was a year above me and she had to play Medea in the play "Jason and Medea". When the part came where she had to kill her children and herself, this song started playing. She had to totally go crazy. It was, and still is one of the greatest acting performances I've ever seen. People were speechless. Here you had a girl, 13 years old, who was giving her all, who was raging and screaming as if she really was betrayed by her lover. Now, seven years later, I still think of this moment.
SKUNK ANANSIE - STOOSH Skunk Anansie are a British rock band whose members include Skin (lead vocals, guitar), Cass (bass, guitar, backing vocals), Ace (guitar, backing vocals) and Mark Richardson (drums and percussion). Skunk Anansie formed in 1994, disbanded in 2001 and reformed in 2009. They have released six studio albums: Paranoid & Sunburnt (1995), Stoosh (1996), Post Orgasmic Chill (1999), Wonderlustre (2010), Black Traffic (2012) and Anarchytecture (2016); one compilation album, Smashes and Trashes (2009); and several hit singles, including "Charity", "Hedonism", "Selling Jesus" and "Weak". They are often grouped as part of the Britrock movement, as opposed to the contemporary Britpop of their early years due to their overall harder sound. The band, in 2004, was named as one of the most successful UK chart acts between 1952 and 2003 by the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles & Albums, with a total of 142 weeks on both the singles and album charts ranking them at No. 491. I still have two units of Skunk Anansie's third studio CD-Album, entitled POST ORGASMIC CHILL (1999), one of my favorites. And, finally, also a single copy of the collection SMASHES AND TRASHES (2009), also on CD-Album, which includes the hits from the three previous CD-albums, three new songs and two acoustic versions. ‼️🤩💝I just stumbled across this song & band today. I don’t really understand the video & it’s kinda scary. I looked up the lyrics and although I have an appreciation for all types of music and this isn’t typically a song I would listen to or seek out, for some strange reason I’m drawn to it. She has a terrific voice.

Leon Donnelly very good job
I was the Director. You weren’t bad.

Ha! Good job, man! You looked creepy in the scene.
One of the best female voices ever!!
I'd personally not even put the 'female' qualifier in there. Straight awesome.

This is such an amazing song. The singing is so good, the drumming is mega, and the string arrangement is just amazing. I never tire of this song.
Payed extra attention to the drumming this time; thanks for pointing it out, it is brilliant. Normally too distracted by Skin's amazing vocals
Agreed 👍🏻 but it's a complete perfection that can't be bettered

"Brazen (Weep)"
Released: June 1997
I called you brazen
Called you whore right to your face
And watched you silently
And publicly disgraced
I didn't notice
When you strengthened like a vice
That you were trembling
And burned beneath the ice
Ooh, ooh
Why don't you weep
When I hurt you?
Why don't you weep
When I cut you?
You don't bleed
And the anger builds up inside
Why don't you weep
When I hurt you?
Why don't you weep
When I cut you?
You don't bleed
And the anger builds up inside
Nah nah nah nah nah
Nah nah nah nah nah
Nah nah nah nah nah
You said a prayer
And I betrayed you with a kiss
You never realized
That all had come to this
So keep your dignity
Don't throw it all to waste
Stronger feelings
Than you've ever learned to face
Ooh, ooh
Why don't you weep
When I hurt you?
Why don't you weep
When I cut you?
You don't bleed
And the anger builds up inside
Why don't you weep
When I hurt you?
Why don't you weep
When I cut you?
You don't bleed
And the anger builds up inside
Nah nah nah nah nah
Nah nah nah nah nah
Nah nah nah nah nah
Oooooh
Why don't you weep
When I hurt you?
Why don't you weep
When I cut you?
You don't bleed
And the anger builds up inside
Oh why don't you weep
When I hurt you?
Why don't you weep
When I cut you?
You don't bleed
And the anger builds up inside
Oooh
(Nah nah nah nah nah)
Why don't you weep?
Why don't you weep?
Why don't you weep?
Why don't you weep?
Why don't you weep?
Why don't you weep?

I’ve been looking for this song 😅🙌🏾🤩🥳
Couldn’t quite remember it but it was somehow in my head or yearsssss
‼️🤩💝I just stumbled across this song & band today. I don’t really understand the video & it’s kinda scary.
I looked up the lyrics and although I have an appreciation for all types of music and this isn’t typically a song I would listen to or seek out, for some strange reason I’m drawn to it. She has a terrific voice.
Perfect, wonderfull
Voice of an ANGEL!!!
Just brilliant. On constantly and very loud in the car....
