Rarely do these "1 year later" videos mean anything, but this video was really helpful as I'm interested in buying one. I do like the post launch software updates that DJI does, some of those updates were really useful.
Thanks for the kind words 1wor1d, ye the Mini 3 Pro is much improved since release, due to all the firmware updates...and the latest update, just enabled Goggles Support on the Mini 3 Pro so you can fly it like an fpv drone (not as fast ofcourse), but still... pretty awesome
Ye... since launch, DJI have done a really good job in enabling most of the features that were available in landscape modes, across to "True Vertical" portrait mode. Making the Mini 3 Pro are great tool for social media and content creators
Great video. Good to see another local channel. I've been contemplating in getting this as my first drone but have always been concerned with crashing it and/or not being able to fly it much due to restrictions. So I haven't pulled the trigger on purchasing it. The shot of Werribee mansion is spectacular. Got yourself a subscriber 👌
Hey Mannie, greetings from the Western Suburbs 😀 If you're considering this for your first drone, you won't be disappointed, it captures great footage and allows you to keep a low profile which is great if you're starting out. Just take it somewhere remote without trees or obstructions for your first flight. I'm looking forward to adding an fpv drone next, can't wait
I like the presentation, editing and narrative style. Factual, helpful and to the point. Good. Mini 3 Pro for me. T he 249g makes it a no brainer for my footage possibilities.
Thanks ScarboroughTourist, still "honing" my skills as I progress I'm generally straight to the point and prefer "no bullshit" ... You living in Western Australia (Scarborough)?
@@ScarboroughTourist Haha, ye just a little, I lived in London for almost 20 years, It did sound like an English town, never visited though. Nice beach there? 🏝️
I like how you covered off keeping a low profile as a Pro, I agree it is quite important, especially if the Mini 3 Pro is your first drone. Nice video btw
Very informative and food for thought. Thanks for taken the time to share your thoughts. 👍👌(p.s... I own the mini 2 , great drone. Plus the dji fpv for crazy flying and the air 2s for photography) considering buying the mini 3 Pro. Great all rounder I'm thinking)
Thanks for the kind words Sean 🤙🏻 If I do get another drone it will be the DJI fpv, do you find the video is good enough quality for professional work?
Nice comparison, i agree with most of your statements, i have been getting better battery life with my mini 3 pro personally, but i guess it comes down to conditions. My biggest gripe with the trio you have reviewed is the laws in the uk, it makes it virtually impossible to use in many places, considering you would need to be at maximum zoom to get any usable shots here it makes the mavic 3 a non starter, in any format. The mavic 3 pro would be amazing to have a fly with, but there is virtually no places you could take it and take it out of the bag, with this in mind you have limited options available, these include the rntire mini series of drones. I started my drone piloting back when the original mavic mini was released, after a crash course in flying this new small drone i was amazed by its ability, my only other drone experience was with the original inspire, many years back, this was a few hours flying this massive piece of highly sophisticated, very expensive flying camera, that started my interest in drones, and also put me off due to prices. When the mini was launched i jumped on it, and still to this day i fly it, the camera is not good, but for experience, and learning to fly was brilliant, i use it for pictures, and video, but more for practice in confined spaces, because it has no sensors to speak about it makes you think every single move, and makes you very aware of the surroundings, this in turn in my opinion makes you work harder to get the best shot without incident. I am still reluctant to go out in strong wind, and typically keep it to a maximum of 20mph wind, although the mini 3 pro can handle more i dont want to risk damage or loss. In different parts of the world the restrictions vary so much, and where one will fall foul of the rules, another will fit comfortably within them, i think this should be a bigger factor when looking at purchasing a drone, particularly as a mivic drone is significantly more expensive, it would make a very expensive paperweight in the uk, unless you want video from way up high above a structure, and a long way from people and events, couple the distance you have to be from people, crouds, buildings etc, and the many flight restricted areas, it rules out a lot of places, and events. The mini 3 pro being that bit lighter, and smaller, quieter, and able to get a little closer means you will get more opportunities to fly, and in more places. A massive win for the mini drones, over the mavic series, sadly, and though i would absolutely love a mavic 3 pro, it would not be used much for filming, or taking pictures of stunning buildings, landscapes, events, more for flights in the country, away from people and buildings, and flight paths etc. The new inspire his inspired me, and if i lived in a country where the restrictions are sensible, and limitations are less i would absolutely love one of these amazing flying cini cameras, that would be a dream. As i live in the uk i will stick with the best mini drone available, and watch for any new iterations of them going forward, especially a mini drone with thermal, wow that would be my last drone purchase.
Thanks brionrjames, ye I do film in windy areas around 50% of the time, so constantly swapping batteries out. I don’t really like using zoom on any drones as it’s not a true capture of the scene. I tend to take probably more risks than most with my Mini 3 Pro, but ye the consequences would suck if I lost or broke it. I agree that the regulations in a lot of countries mean the mini’s are the only real option, and as tech improves, you probably won’t need larger drones as much in the future. The Inspire 3 does look amazing though… this is the best vid I’ve seen so far of it... th-cam.com/video/zgFWiBWneZA/w-d-xo.html Why you so interested in capturing thermals?
Ye exactly, I did look at the Air drones, but high quality 4K 30fps is all I need really, and with the 48MP (or 12MP quad bayered sensor) it produces great still shots
@@frostfire_mage Wow that will be great, I would like to see a nice zoom on it say 7× , what's the likelihood of it happening though, I hate waiting. 😉
For most of us fun flyers the mini 3 Pro is more than adequate for our needs. This is my 1st and only drone and as a new flyer I'm still getting to grips with it. This will do me for the next 3/4years easily . Then I will maybe upgrade to the mini 6 Pro 😊
Hey this is a great review thank you. How easy would it be for a beginner to start with this? Drones always look easier than they are for me. Also does it have an emergency/return function? Many thanks 😊
Apart from the new Mini 4 Pro… it’s the 2nd best drone for beginners… and yep there’s a return home feature built in, which works in emergencies, just make sure you set a safe return to home spot when you take off 👍🏻 The Mini 3 Pro is a great choice 👌🏻
Great Video , for me the best option is to have both Mini 3 Pro & and the Mavic 😀😀 then you have the choice depending on what you're filming at the time .
Frost fire mage. I was like "why are my drone vids mixing with my diablo vids" lol great content. Having jitter issues with the latest firmware but it's a mix of a remedy between edit and change of nd.
Hey Wayne, ye diversifying my Tech reviews (and I love my Mini3 Pro) Are you experiencing this while shooting in 4k 60? or another mode? Some peeps also experiencing jitter with cheaper, slower SD cards
@FrostFire Mage long story short. It's really my fault in post. I shoot 4k 30. Convert to 4k 25 in post. BUT! (Here's the my fault part) because the ss isn't changing along side the fps in post... it will obviously affect the jitter/stutter. 16 nd. It's just more apparent with latest firmware 🤷
Thanks Alicjia 🤙🏻 Rumoured features expected are… - Improved Camera Sensor - Improved Battery Life - Omni directional sensors - A 360 pivot and gimbal control for even better shot potential
There is a Find my Drone interface via the DJI fly app… which can help with providing useful co-ordinates to get close enough to the drone. If close enough… and you can connect to it still… you can enable “Start Flashing and Beeping” to more effectively locate it in person… luckily I’ve never had to use it 😅
I'm debating between getting the Mini 3 Pro or the Air 2s for professional use. I'm leaning towards the Air 2s due to is size and stability, but I'm stull torn for some reason.
Unless you're using it in very windy conditions the Mini 3 Pro works great, and is fine for most low budget professional work. It's also super compact which is great for portability and lack of registration purposes.
Have you noticed any changes to the active track over the year? I watched year old videos of people mountain biking in forested areas and this drone did a good job. I got one for Christmas, but haven't had a chance to use it for biking for a few months. It doesn't do a good job following me while mtb'ing. It constantly loses track of me in open areas or if I go behind an object for just a second. Older videos show it going around objects and keeps following the subject. I have bypass selected and settings all the way up to allow the drone to move as fast as possible. If I could, I'd probably return it, as I mainly wanted it for how small it is and to follow me while mtb'ing.
I had the same issues when I tested it with an ATV in an open field. One thing though is that the active track likes being behind you. I honestly didn't realize that when I studied it a little before purchase. I've tested the active tracking with my boat and it was absolutely perfect in both modes I tried. Not so much on the ATV.
If you are using Active Track on Trace mode with Bypass selected then you should have no issues with the drone following behind you. I’ve been using it for following me on foot and while driving the car, and does it perfectly. Maybe throw a message on the DJI forums, or call their support line for advice.
Hey Jeep Logger NZ, even though DJI won't release a Mini 4 Pro anytime soon... you want to get to the most out of the tech before the "new kid on the block"... does eventually arrive, so ye... you're right
@@frostfire_mage yeah you're definitely right, so I've got one and already updated for the goggles, got the RC controller with looks and feels nice, can't wait to throw it up in the air and have a play, you're 1 year later review pretty much kicked me into gear to get one, so thanks heaps bro
good luck, my was one time repair, after 5month is now again defect. i made a video and i needed to cut about 80% because you can´t watch it from waves on video.. :/
@Dr.xx1 oh no sheeeet, already crashed mine and now the obstacle avoidance doesn't work, tried 8x now to recalibrate and nothing, still happy with it as that was purely my fault haha, hopefully it doesn't get extreme like yours as they aren't cheap
if your drone is unlicensed and you don’t have restrictions for 250g… get the bigger battery Fly more kit… if you want to stay unlicensed and under 250g get the normal Fly more kit…
It's better than when released, due to all the firmware updates... and there are zero "mini" drone competitors anywhere close to the feature set. Also I don't believe DJI will release a Mini 4 Pro anytime soon, as there's no incentive... because the Mini 3 Pro is already king 🤴
Hey GamerGirlDanoots, when you’re just starting out definitely… so make sure you take it somewhere that has wide open spaces with limited objects, structures or foliage. Once comfortable, you just need to be more mindful of your drones sensor limitations… with the Mini 3 Pro, it’s when going sideways or up. But ye it can happen, so always try and maintain line of sight, for easier retrieval 👍🏻
This is how it translated... "Thank you for your helpful video, I will buy a drone for myself in a few weeks. Subscribed to your channel" ....Thanks for watching, hope you got something out of it, as long as it's easy to fly without too much grief from onlookers, it's a great experience and the unique shots are absolutely worth the investment
Hey dimitri, ye 100g+ now since Jun 22, and lots of prohibited fly zones in urban areas 😢 You looking to capture some nice footage in more remote places? Japan is a beautiful place… I’m planning on doing some snowboarding in Niseko.
@@mixmastermugen Niiiiice, love the canals and scattered bikes everywhere in Amsterdam… amongst other things 😂 I find daybreak and sunset to be the best times to get some “sneaky” shots in 😈
Sounds like a fault based on your description, maybe return and get a replacement or speak to DJI support if you're out of the return window / timeline
Hey Dom, I have 4 in total, which gives me 80-120 mins of flight time(most of the time). I would recommend getting the Fly More Kit, which gives +2 batteries for 3 in total… as a minimum to get the most out of your time capturing on location/s. Last thing you want is to have a great spot, capturing beautiful shots… and then run out of battery 🪫 👍🏻
Haha , you could split them I suppose.... the reason I grouped them was because the size of the battery and added weight was a big contributor to the better wind resistance, in my opinion.
there were times where during ActiveTrack (Trace) mode, the drone doesn't follow and just stays in place. any insights on this? enlighten me, oh wise ones! 🙁
I personally have not experienced this... it's pretty good at actively tracking and following me in this mode (while walking and driving my car) there was another guy in the comments "Staying Active R A Warrior" who was having issues as well, when push biking and using active track (trace) ... I suggested he get in contact with DJI support, worth a shot
i had to send it in 3 times something is always failing and they were all different drones the mini 3 pro, its garbage I had the mini 2 i never had a problem, when i had a new mini 3 pros in just 2 months it almost flew away the second time the screen froze the third time it did not take off at all because of a bad download update when you buy it new DJI does not give you back your Original drone they give you a refurbished drone, it's always a different drone with a different problem I never had so much grief in my life
I’ve heard of others having issues as well, but my experience has been great, no issues so far, and the drone provides great quality video and stills. Just make sure you always do the firmware updates when available before flying your drone.
Yep, vs the Autel Nano+ and Skydio 2+ it’s slightly better across the board… including performance, camera, transmission, remote and built in features. The only thing the Skydio 2+ can do better is when tracking in sports mode, but even then the quality of the footage is still not as good.
I see you always use AUTO when using the tracking features. You mention briefly that those turn on by default, but my question is: Can I turn those back to PRO?
@@frostfire_mage Ok just to make sure we're talking about the same thing and it makes sense: quick shots can only be used in normal color profile and auto. Other tracking (trace, spotlight) can use d-cinelike, but also only with auto. Is that correct? I'm only interested in the things that allow d-cinelike as I'll never shoot in normal. And the main tracking I'm interested to use is spotlight. Also, thanks for literally being the only one that even half mentioned that in a video. It's important information videos seem to skip out on and then buyers find out afterwards, not cool. So thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Good detailed ownership review. 4k 30FPS (HDR) what you mention is not really an HDR video, its only 8bit Rec.709 thus doesn't get recognized as HDR by any of editing software neither with Macbook pro nor on HDR TVs
Hey Ranjan, thanks for the kind words and feedback. From what I've heard if you use the D-Cinelike 10-bit color profile to record the video, and then convert it into a HDR file using Final Cut pro. Have you tried this or something similar?
@@frostfire_mage I have read that too but yet to try my hands on FCP, I am a Davinci Resolve user & its a nightmare for HDR conversion due to HDR hardware requirements. FCP seems to be well suited for HDR conversion. I have seen some wow HDR videos converted from 10bit footage shot in D-Cinelike.
Hey Mate, You keep mentioning licensing but drone weight for these drones doesn't make any difference for commercial use in Australia under the excluded category of 2kg or less. Registering your drone is the only difference currently which can save you $40 if your drone weighs 500 grams or less.
Hey Ozzy, you speak truth re: Australian Drone rules & regulations 👍🏻 However, DJI made the Mini line of drones…At less than 249 grams, so they are exempt from “most drone regulations in several parts of the world”. I should have made this more clear in the video.
If you can afford it, mavic 3 is the best drone without a doubt. You want the best quality video and photo and the other drone are far away in this area. So, if you have the money, get mavic 3. If you do not have the money, get mini 3. If you have a small amount of money, get mini3 pro. Everybody has now a 55 inch tv, or a 32 inch monitor so filming in low quality just for phone and monitors is not an option if you can afford the mavic 3 drone. But, from my 5 days experience with mini3 pro, i can say that images looks great on yhe 32 inch monitor. Never play them on the y5 inch uhd tv, but i am sure that they will look great too.
Most of the things you mentioned were also mentioned in the video… the 4K @ 30fps still shows great even on my 75” 8K TV, so I dont think the 5.1k resolution adds much value, the bigger sensor does make for a better image, and that’s it really, is it worth the extra money for the licensing, reduced portability and extra noise? Arguably not.
@@frostfire_mage Hey! For some of us is not worth the money, but there are others that will pay for Mavic 3. Another point is that if you want to make money with your gear, you will want the best that you can afford, since there are a lot of other people that already have more that your "best gear". Cheers!
@@stromtrooper7118 I think most peeps starting at out should get the Mini 3 Pro, just to get used flying and capturing footage… and then upgrade to a Mavic 3 later on when they have the flying experience and spare funds 👍🏻
Ye depending on which country you live in... Japan lowered their weight threshold to 100g, so pretty much every decent capture drone has to register now... poor bastards
@@frostfire_mage If this happens in my country, I eliminate the radio communication and buy a directional WiFi antenna (15km). I'm responsible for what I do, but not for the laws I didn't sign...
Hey Longdogs, thanks for dropping a comment. I agree with you somewhat... I suppose this is more for those times.... if your drone drops somewhere it shouldn’t, when they physically have your drone and its over the weight threshold... but yes you shouldn't get yourself in that position in the 1st place.
Air 3 looks great. Unfortunately unlike the mini 3 Pro. Your still limited to where to fly it keeping to the drone laws. Reviews seem to keep brushing over this issue with drones over 250g
@frostfire_mage agree. It would be nice to have one as a back up for the countryside on windy days. But that then works out to be a very expensive toy. Maybe a second hand mavic 2 zoom would give me the same but at a quarter of the price
I want the flymore but I wish the case wasnt animal leather. Is it real leather or is it fake leather(I cant seem to find this info). I am vegan and I dont buy things with needless death involved. I know thats a stupid thing to some ppl but it matters to me.
The batteries used in these drones are more than likely blood batteries. Children and adults basically slaving their life away for the minerals never knowing it's purpose. And you're concerned with the case being made from animal leather?
I wouldn’t say it’s a huge issue, just inconvenient… the downsides depending on country of residence… 1. Wait times to fly that require registration, 2. Cost, 3. Being monitored by an authority, 4. Personal Details provided again. What drone you have Jason?
@@frostfire_mage the state already have your personal details. And the wait plus the 20 euros that you can pay extra for mavic 3 worth the years of high quality footage. Being constantly monitored is a bad thing only if you want to do something illegal. In that case, in romania, the drone is bringed down without a warning. Bang, to the ground , your illegal thief! 😊
Love the info and the review, but I think it's obvious you are not a fan of enough contrast! Most of your footage our washed out! Maybe it's your style. Not trying to be rude or anything like that!
Hi Kamran, thanks for your feedback, it’s something I’m aware of, I could of spent more time fixing this, but I spent a lot of time on this video already and just wanted to get it uploaded 🤙🏻
They should call it dji update cos everytime you try using it update update update followed by error code overheating kills the battery if you manage to get it to update that is .....world of pain wish I never got one.😂
Haha, I've always found the updates to work ok, haven't seen an error yet... but I have heard of others experiencing this. Did you get the Fly More Kit (and extra batteries) to cover the overheating and short battery life? (It's a must in my opinion).
@@frostfire_mage yep fully charged the batterys try keeping them full but evertime I go to use it I have to charge them again bloody nightmare......I did manage to do another update with the pc last night then I drifted in to a wall 🤣🤣 lucky it still lives to see another day
@@endofdayz783the batteries have a feature where they will lose power down to around 60% when they're not being used. It is damaging to the batteries for them to be full when not in use. Ideally you should store batteries at half capacity, they will have a shorter life if you charge them to 100% when they're not gonna be used right away
Well ofcourse the onus is on the user to “do the right thing” upfront… but if you do get caught, or your drone drops in somewhere it shouldn’t, this is the kinda technicality they like to get you on 🤷🏻♂️
@@frostfire_mage Yes thanks for the info, ya i would not want a 1000 to get lost in someones back yard, but if its not registered they wont know anyway :) one question can i disable the lights on the drone thanks !
Hey Autolovers, I appreciate not everyone’s opinion is going to be the same, I have lost signal to the drone a couple of times over the year, thanks for leaving a comment 👍🏻

Who cares about the 249g anyways. Here in the US you register your drone at $5 bucks for a 3 year license. Doing it this way, you don't have to care about going over the 249g or not. There is also legislation on getting that 249g limit up to 1 Kilogram. Which would open the door to many other DJI drones which wouldn't require remote ID. I hope many more of us fight for this because it would be a huge help to the drone community no matter what type of drone you fly!
Hey Saint Kenny, I do agree to some extent. Larger drones up to 1kg do perform better in Strong winds, and can carry bigger, more advanced tech. But as tech gets better and smaller, over time the Mini drone’s will eventually be all that’s needed even for High end projects. If I had the spare cash, I would probably pick up the Mavic 3 Classic… what drone/s you currently using?
@@frostfire_mage I started with a mini 2 about 3 years ago. Now I have the Air 2s and the Avata. Almost a step away from my 107. Our world will always have all sizes of drones. Depending on conditions different drones serve different types of needs. Small drones will always suffer more from high winds over larger drones. Seeing drones make or repair things where it is hard to get a human to those locations is amazing. Light shows, rescues the possibilities are endless! The more of us that know the good drones can do, the better the drone community shall be. 🛩️
The larger more expensive drones, are also a lot louder and have licensing requirements. Hence the main talking point for my video is do you really need 5.4k+ resolution and a better sensor when you're too scared to take it with you, and actually fly it.
@@frostfire_mage i agree, i no need 5.4k resolution, i'm happy with 4k, but let's face it, drone license OPEN A1/A3 is a joke, i've got mine in 2 hours, literally so that's the last thing to worry about. I think a larger drone has the ability to stand better into the wind, and this works well for me since i live on a coastal area where i would not be able to fly the Mini 3 Pro, even if it's nice and has a feature i love (camera switches upright for social media videos)

Why you so interested in capturing thermals?
I bought mini 3 Pro in March and I love it, and the drone has many features as air drones are the advantages
Ye exactly, I did look at the Air drones, but high quality 4K 30fps is all I need really, and with the 48MP (or 12MP quad bayered sensor) it produces great still shots
I agree with every word you have said, i think the mini 3 pro is THE drone overall to get, it ROCKS !!
kemagic... gets it The only drone that "will be" better than the Mini 3 Pro "overall"...is the Mini 4 Pro, when it's released
@@frostfire_mage Wow that will be great, I would like to see a nice zoom on it say 7× , what's the likelihood of it happening though, I hate waiting. 😉
@@Kemagic I hope they update the arms to be more like the Mini 3 and include a bigger camera sensor... apart from that it's perfect as-is for me
For most of us fun flyers the mini 3 Pro is more than adequate for our needs.
This is my 1st and only drone and as a new flyer I'm still getting to grips with it.
This will do me for the next 3/4years easily .
Then I will maybe upgrade to the mini 6 Pro 😊
We’ll said TruckerLee, tbh even as content creator who enjoys capturing and editing, I’ll probably be looking at a upgrade around the Mini 6 Pro too 😎

Thanks for the positive feedback, you're welcome Sir
Hey this is a great review thank you. How easy would it be for a beginner to start with this?
Drones always look easier than they are for me.
Also does it have an emergency/return function?
Many thanks 😊
Apart from the new Mini 4 Pro… it’s the 2nd best drone for beginners… and yep there’s a return home feature built in, which works in emergencies, just make sure you set a safe return to home spot when you take off 👍🏻 The Mini 3 Pro is a great choice 👌🏻

Hello, this is an interesting video.
I will subscribe to your channel from Japan.
I look forward to seeing more great videos.
Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 I love Japan, want to snowboard there, you get any nice drone footage?
Great Video , for me the best option is to have both Mini 3 Pro & and the Mavic 😀😀 then you have the choice depending on what you're filming at the time .
For what I’m into, I’ll probably get an FPV Avata before any of the Mavic line… you gonna get the new Mavic 3 Pro?
Nice video 👍🏻 any obvious improvements that will be in the Mini 4 Pro that are worth waiting for?
Thanks Alicjia 🤙🏻 Rumoured features expected are…
- Improved Camera Sensor
- Improved Battery Life
- Omni directional sensors
- A 360 pivot and gimbal control for even better shot potential
Best Mini Drone perhaps. Thanks for sharing.

Did they add a ( find my drone) as in the phone I’m so tiered of loosing my drones over trees and out of wind conditions?
There is a Find my Drone interface via the DJI fly app… which can help with providing useful co-ordinates to get close enough to the drone. If close enough… and you can connect to it still… you can enable “Start Flashing and Beeping” to more effectively locate it in person… luckily I’ve never had to use it 😅
20 seconds and the video already SCREAMS for my like. Here is it.
Haha, thanks 777, put some solid hours into this vid, so appreciate the positive feedback 🤙🏻
@@frostfire_mage OK, maybe there is something wrong with mine. I will see if I can get a hold of DJI. Thank you to both of you for your response.
@Staying Active R A Warrior No worries Warrior, let us know how you get on 👍

Final Cut Pro, which is ok, thinking of switching to Davinci… what you currently using?
Great review....... But would have liked how long the bigger battery lasts.
if your drone is unlicensed and you don’t have restrictions for 250g… get the bigger battery Fly more kit… if you want to stay unlicensed and under 250g get the normal Fly more kit…
I hope it is still a good budget drone since I am buying it next July 😊
It's better than when released, due to all the firmware updates... and there are zero "mini" drone competitors anywhere close to the feature set. Also I don't believe DJI will release a Mini 4 Pro anytime soon, as there's no incentive... because the Mini 3 Pro is already king 🤴
I liked your video, you said you got damage from crashing your drone, is it easy to do?
Hey GamerGirlDanoots, when you’re just starting out definitely… so make sure you take it somewhere that has wide open spaces with limited objects, structures or foliage. Once comfortable, you just need to be more mindful of your drones sensor limitations… with the Mini 3 Pro, it’s when going sideways or up. But ye it can happen, so always try and maintain line of sight, for easier retrieval 👍🏻

Sounds like a fault based on your description, maybe return and get a replacement or speak to DJI support if you're out of the return window / timeline
How many batteries do you have and do use them all when out filming?
Hey Dom, I have 4 in total, which gives me 80-120 mins of flight time(most of the time). I would recommend getting the Fly More Kit, which gives +2 batteries for 3 in total… as a minimum to get the most out of your time capturing on location/s. Last thing you want is to have a great spot, capturing beautiful shots… and then run out of battery 🪫 👍🏻
Thanks for this really good comparison. I will sell my Air2s and buy the Mavic 3 Classic. An update of Air 2s to C-Class will not be happen.
The Mavic 3 Classic is a great drone as well, if you don’t care about licensing and some elements of portability, it’s an exceptional drone
I like the honesty in the review, but didn’t the drone come out in May? So it cannot be a “1 year review”.
11 months later didn’t have quite the same ring to it 👍🏻
@@frostfire_mage bro found the one lie 🤣
@@fadedchicken 😂 give the man a cigar 👏🏻
@@frostfire_mage Hey man it’s a solid review, so i’ll let it slide.
Wind resistance and battery flight time are two distinct categories and as such I score the Classic 6 points.
It's easily the best drone 👌
i had to send it in 3 times something is always failing and they were all different drones the mini 3 pro, its garbage I had the mini 2 i never had a problem, when i had a new mini 3 pros in just 2 months it almost flew away the second time the screen froze the third time it did not take off at all because of a bad download update when you buy it new DJI does not give you back your Original drone they give you a refurbished drone, it's always a different drone with a different problem I never had so much grief in my life
I’ve heard of others having issues as well, but my experience has been great, no issues so far, and the drone provides great quality video and stills. Just make sure you always do the firmware updates when available before flying your drone.
I have a question , can dji mini 2 battery be used for dji mini 3 pro? Im planning to buy a mini 3 pro b’cause my mini 2 was crushed 😢
No unfortunately, even though they look similar, they have a different power output and slightly different physical design
@@frostfire_mage thank’s❤️
Mini 3 pro is the best all around drone for money, results, portability etc that’s ever been in market.
Calihawk82 gets it! Couldn't agree more, due to all these factors... instead of it gathering dust in a cupboard... I actually use it
Autel and Skydio are close but the mini3 pro is definitely in the sweet spot for me.
Yep, vs the Autel Nano+ and Skydio 2+ it’s slightly better across the board… including performance, camera, transmission, remote and built in features. The only thing the Skydio 2+ can do better is when tracking in sports mode, but even then the quality of the footage is still not as good.
@@frostfire_mage They both don't lock you from flying your drone.
I see you always use AUTO when using the tracking features. You mention briefly that those turn on by default, but my question is: Can I turn those back to PRO?
Nope, you can only use these features in Auto, that’s why it’s important to learn the same skills manually so you can do them with the Pro Settings 👍🏻
Tday I sold my mavic air and bought mini3 pro. I had big problem with choice beetwin air2s and mini3pro. I choose mini3pro. We will see
Why sell poor air :(
Hey fromdrone, What was the decisive factor that made you pick the Mini 3 Pro?
@@RanjanSharma2001 might take a look (if I get some time) I think Davinci is better overall as an editing tool.. but FCP has it’s benefits too.

Mavic2Pro - Used, Bigger size,better camera & registration

Hey Longdogs, thanks for dropping a comment. I agree with you somewhat... Hey Max, you hit the nail on the head, people love the shiny new thing so much they gloss over the details that matter 👍🏻
DJI Mini 3 Pro Fly More Kit Bag is made out of pleather
The batteries used in these drones are more than likely blood batteries. Children and adults basically slaving their life away for the minerals never knowing it's purpose. And you're concerned with the case being made from animal leather?
Why is everybody so obsessed about not registering their drones? I don’t understand why it’s a big deal
I wouldn’t say it’s a huge issue, just inconvenient… the downsides depending on country of residence…
1. Wait times to fly that require registration,
2. Cost,
3. Being monitored by an authority,
4. Personal Details provided again.
What drone you have Jason?
@@frostfire_mage the state already have your personal details. And the wait plus the 20 euros that you can pay extra for mavic 3 worth the years of high quality footage.

Hey FloatingRabbit, yep I've read this is well... do you have the mini 3 pro and use more for photography? 📷

Can never trust any DJI product!
Which ones have you had a bad experience with?
Agree. Here in Australia the 250g limit is far less of a problem than Europe. Plus batteries FTW.
The best "affordable" drone, otherwise, we all know best drones have different price and much better features
Still is.
