    We have lived in Alaska for 40 years....warm and dry summers, sugar snow in winter, no state income tax, no state sales tax, permanent fund dividend check for every member of the family, low humidity...12 inches of total precip per year, excellent saltwalter and freshwater fishing, excellent gardening, an international airport 20 minutes away, nice neighborhoods and big 5-10 acre parcels, a waiver on the first $150,000 of assessed property for those 65 and older, free hunting and fishing license for those 60 and older, no hurricanes or tornadoes, no fire ants, chiggers, snakes, gators, Lymes Disease, traffic, poison ivy, vehicle inspection, no hot or humid summers...days typically in the 70s all summer long...and very few regulations.

Going on an aurora tour, to Pioneer Park, the ice museum, reindeer farm near CHS , and to the springs. And of course to see Santa -- I mean, you can't NOT go see him! Just hope this GA girl has all the necessities so I don't freeze to death! LOL Thanks for the outlook!

    This is a nice video Sophia Michelle. I was stationed there in the late 80's and happened on this video by accident. Fairbanks is more of an outdoor town so its not a place you go just to watch television. You have a better chance to see 'northern lights' closer to the mountains like Birch Hill for example. As I'm a fisherman I was in heaven; just in the winter you need a chainsaw to cut thru the ice. I hope you enjoyed it but perhaps you may have enjoyed it more in the summertime.

    • @jordanandsoph
      @jordanandsoph  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looking back it was better then we originally gave it credit for. Still bummed we didn't see the Northern Lights there but overall we are glad we visited.
