I'm always on top of things with some of these coil warehouses, because some are super strict on appointment times. If traffic happens or whatever you gotta call the FM and let them know so they can get with the load manager and get you an adjusted appointment time. Sometimes it's stuff that's beyond your control. Like you get a load that is scheduled to pickup a day or 3 later, but they get you to get the load early. Sometimes the shipper doesn't have the load ready, and you have to coordinate to get things straightened out. Prime example was a coil I was going to pick up last Friday, that was supposed to leave Monday. I got there 1 hour before the shipper closed, but they didn't even have the coil in the building yet, it was in a warehouse across town in one of the neighboring town boroughs. By the time they figured it out, it was too late for me to go pick it up. So I had to go park for the weekend and sit on a 34 hour. It's ok though, I got my compensation for that happening with detention pay, I got it loaded on Monday, and delivered 2 days later.

Just today I was unloading pallet coils in Manchester TN , I had to check in threw a speaker that was connected to a security company in Canada , it’s getting really weird in some of these places

Hey, love watching your videos and ive been going back through most of them just to listen to some of the tips you have since at my current job i pull a goosneck sometimes to transport equipment. Ive been thinking of going to get my cdl from a school near me thats also partnered with maverick nd tmc. So far im looking more at going to maverick than tmc especially since maverick is closer to louisiana.

Hey Jeremy, love the video. They are helping me a lot. I just finished the trainer truck and start final evaluation this Sunday. Can you tell me about the backing test. I am still a little rough on my backing skills. Any information you could give me would be appreciated

It's a straight back and an offset. Take your time, get out and look, and the testers will work with you. It's really not a big deal. Good luck.

My advice is once your out on your truck, if given the opportunity back into every situation you can, you will be amazed at how much better you become at it in a very short time frame.
