    • @pops5525
      @pops5525 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep. So many people just don't get it and the driver that passed like that (not that what they did was right either) most certainly did that because the cammer (and whoever the cammer said was behind them) did not get out of the way. The Jeep was going slower than the van, had traffic piled up behind them, and should have gotten out of the left lane as well. It doesn't matter if the cammer is already going over the speed limit because they are supposed to move out of the far left lane if there is room to move out of it, which there was here. Also, cammer should spend more time glancing at their rear-view mirror to spot people like that to learn when it becomes urgent to get out of the way. The roads, in general, aren't getting any wider or less congested, so this issue is likely going to happen more and more because people seem to have less and less patience.

People like the cammer (and you based on the way you’re attacking people in the comments) have rage problems. It’s self destructive in the end. I guarantee you the insurance company assigned at least partial responsibility to the cammer as he willfully chose to use his vehicle as a weapon to teach someone a lesson about cutting him off. Mr. Tom Belheler, I know you will hate to hear this and I will admit it’s unfortunate that the ambulance mirror struck your car.
    As an EMT I can assure you that on narrow roads such as that one, we do all that we can to avoid any accidents., but my (our) main concern is the speed, safety, and due regard. If it comes down to my rig getting stuck on a back road two line county road or hugging the line. I’ll take the line.
    Now. The mirrors are supposed to extend past the box so that way we can see what is beside us and as much as behind us as possible. The EMS crew was also trying to avoid the soft shoulder as an ambulance can get stuck if two of the wheels go off road. In the event that this happened, you have an EMS crew and ambulance out of service for responding to emergency calls in their area, putting stress on an already over burden system for mutual calls. Given the fact that it looks like rural area, response times can go anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes to now to almost an hour. Again unfortunate that this happened.

      And here we have another TH-cam mechanic and his pearls of BS.
      First: no, the control arm wasn't why it stopped - if it was, the front end on the passenger side would have collapsed and the tire would have shifted backwards, ripping up the wheel well.
      Three: What you would have said (if you had any actual knowledge behind your posturing bids for attention on a comments section) was that the TIE ROD broke.
      Four: It hadn't.
      Five: Bent, maybe, but not broken - because, his tire would have either turned about 50-70 degrees positive or negative toe. Locking up the displaced wheel.
      Well, at least your BS gave me an opportunity to make 15 minutes of a slow shift go by faster. Thanks for the stupid, stupid.

      It's hard to judge from the distance, but I'm not confident that vehicle was capable of moving on it's own.
      That said, a lot of cars now feature a fuel pump shutoff in an hard enough accident. Normally, I'm against that kind of crap... especially since I've driven a friend's ford van that would trigger the shutoff if you drove over a speed bump too fast... but with direct fuel injection, the fuel pressure is so high that an rupture results in a major fire risk... this is why you see so many scorch marks on the roadways... cars burning to the ground is much more common than it was 20 years ago.
