1:16 ... letting off the gas so as not to get hit. Great concept. Embrace it.
That is called normal everday safe driving .
Also, it's a merge. Let the other car in, as it's their turn. Cammer doesn't seem to get that.
The other car arrived kind of late, and was leading at the end of the two-lane portion, so they have the right of way at that point. Rude but legal. At that point the cammer, being the trailing vehicle, has no right to fight for the spot by driving side-by-side within a single lane. Technically, everyone is supposed to be single-file _before_ reaching the end of the two-lane portion.
Rej, just let off the gas, man. More dummies cause collisions because they are more worried about "being right" or "teaching a lesson" than being safe. Letting an asshole turn you into an asshole is defeat, not victory
Agree, self preservation and defensive driving is a skill not practiced enough.
@3:24- as a retired LEO, this clip should be presented in the police academy about what you should never do in an emergency response. His passing of vehicles on the way to the incident intersection indicates a reckless disregard for anyone- pedestrians, motorists or bystanders.
Hopefully this jurisdiction has some good "stop loss" insurance, because this incident would bankrupt most small towns.......................
Absolutely, that officer should not only be disciplined per Dept. Policy but also receive a reckless operation citation.
Agreed. I have no idea if Knoxville has good stop loss insurance, but the population is almost 200K. Cheers!
If you can't wheelie, don't do it on busy streets with a lot of traffic on a brand new bike😂😂
Even the best acrobats make occasional mistakes.
Idiot stunt riders. They will be "naturally selected."
How about just drive normal on the streets. If you wanna fart around, go to a parking lot or private drive. Don't do it around other cars or people....
@@crazybastrd7489 Well, it's probably illegal. So, we're well beyond that. The OP's premise wasn't about legality, but performance.
@@mvpfocus I know. And I was talking about safety and thinking of others.
03:20 Officer Plugge needs to be prosecuted for reckless driving and endangerment. He's a danger to everyone around him.
Seriously hate how some motorcyclists act on the road. They think they own the road.
Maybe you should obey the traffic laws and you won't have as many problems...just saying. I ride and drive, and I NEVER have any problems with motorcycles. Somehow, I manage to see them when others don't. I wonder why?🙄 I do, however, find many many many grievances with people in cars and trucks...whether I ride or drive.
Seriously hate how some car drivers act on the road. They think they own the road.
Everyone who pays taxes, owns the road. The biggest problem is that car and truck drivers think that because they have more mass, that it doesn't matter if that motorcycle is coming towards them. "I'll just yank right out in front of them. They have brakes. They can swerve out of my way." That 💩 HAS to stop. Motorcycles have THE SAME amount of right-of-way as any moving vehicle. From a bicycle, to an overloaded semi...THE SAME.
Motor-Psycholists
You sound stupid. @@Legir24
Officer Austin Plugge is about to cost the Knoxville PD (and the town) a lot of money to pay for legal bills.
3:48 _"When we were coming to a complete stop, I noticed there was quite some space in front of this Hyundai,"_ enough that he would be safer from me pushing him into cross traffic.
_"I’m trying to keep some distance,"_ almost enough to see the ground between us.
_"You can tell the driver intentionally drove really slow,"_ which put my speed slow enough I could stop without hitting him if necessary, and it reduced our wait time sitting at the next red light.
_"I tried to get rid of this driver, but it turned out he’s on to me"_ while I'm all over him. When I was no longer tight on his tail, he could safely drive at normal speed again.
0:20 that was NOT panic braking that was a brake check because to them you wouldn't let them over.... Even though it isn't your job or responsibility to make sure they make their exit.... But please don't be so gullible in thinking that wasn't retaliation by them for a non existent slight.....
Hard to determine from the cammers video when it doesn't show the speedometer, but maybe he increased his speed and made it difficult for the other driver to pass him, It's a pretty commen thing when you pass a slower car that they start to accelerate. I'm not saying that this is the case here, but it might be. And if that was the case i understand the guy got upset and brakechecked him even if that is both dumb and dangerous.
Why was the cammer driving in the centre lane, and not the right-hand lane? I've noticed this a lot in US videos.
The right lane is typically for slower vehicles and semis or when exiting. We otherwise use the middle lane, unless passing.
@@jodyalaniz Ah, right - thanks.
@@robinbeckfordbecause they don't have to? 💀
That bridge could use proper barriers on the edges, not a flimsy railing that doesn’t actually stop anything from going over the edge.
Classic example of why both hands should remain on the steering wheel and driver's full attention to driving, not day dreaming. Driver could not make emergency maneuver, braking in this case. She did not engage any defensive driving actions.
0:02 I would like to see the whole video because that was not a panic brake, that was a retaliatory brake check.
I was thinking the same.
💯
I don't know, if it was retaliatory it was a long setup.
I don't want to see it all because it's usually boring but yeah with three lanes and two vehicles that wasn't an accident.
0:59 - C'mon dude, stop being rational. You're disappointing all the morons who think you should defend your position no matter the cost and try to pit the guy.\
7:11 - So the minivan driver moves over for the biker to pass after having them get right on their ass, and then the biker takes offense.
Yeah that's what I saw. Not sure how anyone else is getting that the minivan blocked or moved in front of the motorcycle. There's no evidence from that video, but there is evidence that the motorcyclist is driving recklessly, from the way he overtook the cammer's vehicle, jumped into the right lane to pass, then immediately back into left lane. I think he was honestly just pissed that the minivan slowed him down.
@@d-train633 I agree, the minivan was already in the left lane passing two cars when the biker caught up to it, so it definitely wasn't blocking the biker. It was probably going to pass the white pickup after it moved over, but then decided to let the biker pass first since he got right on their bumper, which itself is the correct thing to do for those types of riders and drivers. The cammer did the right thing by staying put with how quickly the biker change lanes after the cammer passed the truck.
If you've the only two vehicles on the road, and you're sitting in the blind spot of the other one, you're doing something wrong
Victim blamers are the worst. Cammer was actively bring passed by other driver. Other driver had literally just passed cammer and immediately forgot and just crossed back over without a care in the world. CAMMER HAS NO BLAME IN THIS WHATSOEVER!

3:20 Officer Plugge drives as intelligently as his Disney namesake
2:13 So you are telling me that someone in a full-size Ram 3500 diesel with their trailer mirrors all the way out is acting like a psychopath and bullying smaller vehicles and trying to kill a motorcyclist over perceived left lane camping??!?!? No surprises there... These are the kind of people who roll coal on babies in strollers for TikTok views.
But for real, can the motorcyclist take any sort of legal action? There is no way the truck did not see them. Looks like they were trying to clip them with the mirror. Speeding off afterwards is even more suspicious that they were up to no good. Truck driver needs some 9mm brain surgery...
since no contact was made, all the cammer can really do is provide the footage & license plate to police. hopefully it gets put in a report so, if that truck causes a wreck in the future, there will be evidence showing they have a history of driving aggressively
looks to me the truck was lane splitting, why is Mr Biker so upset? Truck was no closer to the bike than when the biker is dong 45-50 mph between stopped traffic. Whats fair is fair
He was being a douche too or he is on a 10hp bike
Yes, the cyclist can file a criminal complaint and, depending on how good their lawyer is, actually press formal charges against the driver of the truck and have them arrested.
@@trossk What clip are you looking at? Biker kept to the centre of his lane and truck driver clearly tried to run him off the road. You must be thinking about the other clip where the biker broke the wing mirror off the mini-van.
6:45 I love how the sedan in the right lane doesn't even start to slow down with a car spinning out 5 feet away from him
3:00 Impossible to tell if any damage was caused to that front yard.
That truck going off the bridge was terrifying!!
I was just watching the story about that truck driver who went over the bridge railing. First time hearing about it. Glad she made it out alive and is now able to talk about it. Strange that I see it in this video today.
Yeah but maybe next time she should sit up straight and not be in the position she was in.
She didn't look alert at all slouching laying her head in her hand like she's daydreaming about some cute boy, or about to fall asleep
@@KonekoPurrrfection Cute boy? Slouching? Okay, Boomer.
@@KonekoPurrrfection Seriously? Are we talking about the same video? Have you ever went on a road trip and drove for 2 or 3 hours straight with no stops? Did you keep both hands on the steering wheel and maintain good posture the entire time? I’ve never been a truck driver, but I would like to believe that some things become second nature and you can be alert without being tense. She does this for a living and like any job, it can become quite routine and boring at times. That doesn’t mean she was careless. Plus the guy crossed over into her lane at the very moment she was about to pass by him. There was nothing she could have done to avoid it.
At the speed the officer was traveling you wouldnt hear the siren or see the light until it was to late.
I was thinking that watching the clip, they didn't really clear the intersection just sped through

I’ve been waiting for that video since I saw the rescue!
Gotta be one of the scariest I've ever seen on here.
0:05. That wasn’t a panic brake. That was purposeful. Were you speeding up to block them?
tbh it looks that way to me
Yes
I love some of the comments trying to berate the lady in the semi, instead of the dumbass in the pickup that collided with her. As if it would be *totally* different if it was someone else behind the wheel. She literally had a second to react in a *minimum* 30-35k weight (if unloaded) semi-truck, whether she had a hand on her head or both hands on the wheel, not a whole lot of time to try to swerve *that* much weight like it's a sports car. Once the impact happened, that left wheel was most likely shot, hence her going toward the edge of the bridge and going over, she had no control over her truck at that point.
Also, fun little fact, dashcams are right up against the windshield, and more towards the middle-right of the windshield, giving *us* as viewers a better view of what's happening. The drivers don't have that kind of view. So, she had even less time to react than what we were able to see in the footage.
It's not the semi driver is at fault for the accident. What matters is being a proper driver so that you have yourself completely ready to hold the wheel and try for straight and then maybe she would not be hanging over the bridge. In other circumstances it can mean about $200,000 worth of saved goods for the company she is working for. Had she been more ready, I'm certain she might have stayed on the bridge and little more and maybe killed a little old lady coming the other way. There are always trade offs. That situation might cost the company way over a million dollars.
I’ve followed this story since it happened. The car that was stalled on the other side was an EV that had been purchased used on Carvana less than 24 hours prior. It broke down on the bridge. The driver had owned several EV’s prior to this one and was familiar with their operation. They called Carvana and reported the problem, and asked Carvana to buy it back. Carvana dispatched a wrecker to pick up the car.
Before the wrecker arrived, the EV was rear-ended in a glancing blow by a C1500 pickup, deflecting the pickup into the path of the truck. The collision knocked out the steering on the truck, sending it sharply to the left and through the bridge railing.
The pickup driver, Trevor Branham, 33, had been driving at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic, when he struck the stalled EV. He was charged with four counts of wanton endangerment and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. According to the arrest report, Branham “drove the vehicle under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life, placing himself and other motors at risk for serious physical injury or death.”
Carvana later refused to buy back the EV because it had received damage from the collision.
Steve Lehto discussed the Carvana angle of the story.
She did absolutely nothing wrong. Once you get hit that hard, especially on a steer, you are a passenger.
Yeah I heard that that driver got charged for multiple counts for that one
Anyone who thinks she could’ve avoided the rail has obviously never driven a semi, knows no truck drivers, and has no understanding of how semis work. They might as well claim semis should be able to stop on a dime when brake checked, while they’re at it.
6:38 Minivan driver skids out of control, when a large, Red circle surrounds his vehicle.
i’d prolly crash too if a large red circle suddenly materialized around my car
They were doing fine within the red circle. As soon as the circle disappeared, that's when they lost control.
Im so glad the woman driving the semi turned out okay. I feel so bad for her for going through that. People are insanely stupid! Pay attention, especially on bridges. She was hanging there for 45 minutes! That would be major trauma.
Sinthasized: risking his life just to break a mirror, what a fool!
And get out of left lane...
7:20
The "Start seeing motorcycles" campaign was a bad idea.
1:02 Yea, actually yielding and giving him his right of way was such a good idea to not create an accident. This year's Darwin award must go to you for doing absolutely what you were supposed to do! Good job, Kevin! I'm proud of you!
2:00 "No provocations to warrant the driver's actions." How about using the fast lane as fast lane? You intentionally slowed down or not accelerated further (which you were clearly capable of, as seen after that overtake, and even if: That would still not justify your existence in the left lane!) and blocked traffic. If you dont want to, or can't overtake a fucking bus, it doesen't matter - you have no right to be in the left lane, except, you clearly want beef and therefor perfectly provocate! Be happy, that he didn't really aim for you and this was just a warning. Because he could have behaved reckless aswell and made you take another lane by force... just like you did to him...
2:35 The car in the right did not do the same thing, you did the same thing than the truck to him. It was his lane. You left your lane to dodge the truck and therefor violated another car. In fact, everyone here can clearly see, that you always positioned on the far right of your lane (already reaching in to the right lane for no reason!) and just dodged the truck, when he came. You clearly saw it coming - why trying to create an accident with a third innocent party instead of concentrating just to avoid the accident. You clearly never took your foot off the gas pedal, not talking about the not braking at all. This is proven against human reflexes, means you did it intentionally!
3:40 Oh wonder, people suddenly react weird and only on me, what could I have done possibly wrong after I never cared for any traffic rule in my life??? Every normal human beeing would even get the message after the first time, but this guy still follows him in his trunk with no respect for rules or safety and then even bragged about "I'm trying to keep some distance", like that's not, what you were supposed to do from the beginning on to everyone?! Fun fact: The distance you give him is still not even close to the minimum distance you are supposed to give by law and any little logic in life! They don't brake, because they love your face so much! They do this, because they want to have you OFF THEIR ASSES AND ESPECIALLY NOT AT SPEEDS, WHERE ACCIDENTS CAN KILL!!!! You act like you failed tree school and don't even know, what an elementary school is and wonder, when people are not okay with, when you operate a dangerous machine and endanger their lifes and properties not just passiveley through the use of said machines, but also actively, like directly captured on camera!
Shout out to the company that made the king pin and fifth wheel on the Sysco truck.
Actually Tramadol, it was hella dumb to speed up and pace them like you did. They were passing fine then suddenly you matched them.
They're idiots too but I'm betting there's a reason you removed the audio so we can't hear your car...
The number of people who don't understand that audio recording is optional on most dashcams and it is often disabled for privacy is simply amazing.

yeah 60 year old chain link fence. Weirdest thing to point out how old that is. Like at that age it more than likely is rusted up and looking like crap which it kinda does with all the trees growing in it.

Rejex doesn't know what a zipper merge is and acts like the other car is the idiot 😂
The merging car is required to yield to traffic, legally speaking, the cammer has right of way.
Zipper merge doesn't mean speed up and force yourself over to gain a position. Cammer had right of way
Looks like you don’t either, so I guess you’re the idiot for not knowing how to zipper merge😎
It was NOT a zipper. Offending car was in the merge lane, so they ALWAYS have to yield to the cammers lane. Please learn how to drive before trying to give advice. Thank you.
1:05 the car on the right had the right of way anyway
Why is he telling us to look at the car on the right? He seems to be the one who can't see or react to it.

1:15 ReJeX hates the concept of zipper merge
Officer Plugge is at fault for the vehicle and should receive a citation of Operating an Emergency Vehicle without Due Regard. Civilly they are liable even on an emergency call.
1:10 -- How to show that you don't know how a zipper merge works and like to cut people off, without using the actual words, and you even caught it on video -- doing 15 mph over the numbers on the speed sign that you passed. And you want us to be PROUD of you for finally slowing down . . ? 1:38 -- Rookie! You were riding at a speed higher than your IQ. 3:25 -- Officer Austin Plugge of the Knoxville Police Department apparently slept through the part of HS/PD where the instructor explained the concept of "clearing the intersection" . . . 5:00 -- I sure would have liked to see what happened there, but YT decided to fill my screen with suggestions for other videos to watch. This annoyance only used to happen a few seconds from the end of a vid, but now it also shows up in the middle.
Again with the zipper merge horse shit. It doesn't mean speed up and force your way in to gain a position. The one in the lane that is ending must always yield.
@@Lemmon714_ I've been asking my city to not end either lane but instead pinch the outside edges of the road into one middle lane so right of way becomes 50/50 at the pinch point, like a mini 'Road Narrows' for several feet. The crew can cone the now-single-file traffic into the proper lane after the pinch.
Sidenote, you mention that the one in the lane that is ending must always yield. However from a North American point of view (ie. the people who watch and comment on this channel) the word 'always' is not correct. In Alberta if the sign has the words "Merging Traffic" then it's 50/50 responsibility.
5:00 bruh... why the bridge doesn't have strong barrier to prevent cars (and most importantly trucks) to fall in the fucking water???

0:24 Ha! I know exactly where this is. Still, I don't understand why people don't understand the concept of a roundabout or a yield sign.
It sucks because roundabouts are so efficient and not that complicated.
It can be for a lot of reasons, typically its either the roundabout is new to the area, and most who drove that area for a while before it was put there are still not use to it, or people don't give a damn about them and just do what the pickup driver did.
In order for a roundabout to work correctly, it must give priority to vehicles leaving the loop. If priority was given to vehicles entering he loop, the loop could easily fill up to the point of gridlock as one last vehicle sticks it’s nose in preventing any further rotation of traffic already in the loop.
When I first heard of plans to put a traffic circle at the busiest intersection in a large college town, I thought it was a silly idea. But after seeing how beautifully it works, completely eliminating the long lines during rush hour, I have gained a new respect for that design.
@@rdththth I have never in my life seen a roundabout where vehicles entering didn't have to yield. The design of roundabouts is pretty well established at this point. If drivers do their part they work.

6:53 why would you race using a minivan?
Some minivans are pretty fast and have close to 300hp and high torque right from the start. Throw a little tune on it and you've got a peppy ride. I had a minivan from 2007 that had 260hp and it would chirp the front tires in 2nd gear. I embarrassed my fare share of people with it. You're naive to think you would have had the time to do that in less than 1 second from seeing the vehicle coming towards you. You also could have taken out another person doing that, so it wouldn't be very smart to do so.
@@elizabethbarnett4273 before i go of the bridge i will try to avoid that. Its the other drivers fault.
@@elizabethbarnett4273lol... easy to say when it wasn't you right?
@dr.robertbennett3452 It is, especially when you're the OP. They seem to be quite young and inexperienced based on their comments.
@1:11 rejex let off the gas. They were in front of you
@1:19- Congratulations.... You did exactly what you were supposed to do.
3:16 regardless of lights and siren cop had a red light and is 100% at fault.
Didn't even wait to see if the coast was clear! 🙄🙄
Yep. This is a great example of why running red lights without even slowing takes everyone by surprise.
Probably against policy.
Yeah, because the majority of people on the roads are brainless NPCs...
Lights and sirens aren't enough.
@@Psyrecx don't blame the person that had a green light when the pig was speeding through without slowing down to a crawl, checking to make sure the coast was clear before he sped up again!
Or do you also believe Derek Chauvin is innocent in the murder of George Floyd? 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
I guess she should have been paying more attention instead of resting her head on her hand and being oblivious.
100% agree
Looked like she was daydreaming or about to fall asleep
If you cant sit up straight on your own straight then you shouldn't be on the road.
Being lazy while driving is ridiculous
1:25 entitled bikers living off their parents money or disability checks
Why do motorcyclists wonder why nobody else likes them? It's a mystery to me!
Why do cage drivers wonder why bikers hate them?
99% of motorcyclists are decent guys, same as car drivers. It's the 1% that let both sides down. That said as a motorcyclist AND a car driver when I used to commute to work by bike I always said it was a good day if no driver tried to kill me
1:13 omg just let them over, its not that hard. Stop making things worse.
Dude in the first clip definitely did something to get brake checked.
2:10 why do you keep watching your mirror instead of accelerating, just matching the school bus speed? Playing a little game with people behind? Don't play innocent. We can see another red van behind you.
3:35 "Both drivers were taken to the hospital with injuries, the other drivers occured after the crash when other officers attended"
5:06 And just like that, my worst nightmare played out...holy crap!
4:54 Well, that woke her up. I bet she drives a truck with both hands on the wheel for the rest of her life.
One hand on the wheel had nothing to do with what happened. Her steer tire was hit and she couldn't do anything. Should she have blindly swerved and hit someone innocent?
@Lemmon714_ I know one hand on the wheel had nothing to do with it, this time. But that *and* driving half asleep were contributing factors.
@@pazuzu7119 I drive like that a lot at night. It doesn't mean that I am sleepy. She had no time to react to anything. If she had time to react she still didn't have anywhere to go other than to swerve into someone innocent and he still would have hit her causing a worse accident.
2:44 I new IMMEDIATELY that YOU were in the wrong. I live in NJ and you clearly are a new driver. Look how SLOW you're going after going through the toll! You're on a highway and even after they pass you literally everyone was pulling away from your slow driving
2:47 The car on the right did not "cut into your lane", you cut into HIS lane. Granted it was to avoid the white box truck, but you're still the one who moved into his lane.
Merging and allowing others to merge is tough for some people.
Being terrified of mashing the accelerator pedal didn't help.
8:05 and had the truck driver been in the correct lane would never had ended up hanging off the side of the bridge
obvious the first cammer was racing his boyfriend
Total BS@00:46 It's the reason I don't watch other crash channels. Do YOU REALLY wanna go THERE?
0:09 mybe stop being a middle lane hog and get over to the right?
one day you cammers will learn what keep right except to pass means
4:00 cammer heavily tailgating
2:15. The white truck is an idiot. But, why are you going so slow in the passing lane?
those bridges when they have the slots like that from the build process can force you into another lane over the course of the bridge. it's happened to my supervisor a couple of times from being in the left lane and by the end of the bridge against the white line in the right lane with the space between slots too dangerous to quickly correct it
I normally don't cut left lane camper slack, but its not worth killing a guy on a motorcycle over.
@@KiyotaiTalks What are you talking about?
5:20 imo that’s the truck’s fault, not the bus’. they made a right turn from a straight-only lane without a blinker.
They were swerving. Swerved the wrong way, but were swerving.
😐🤣 Seriously?
3:32 I hope he sues your az.
