- Shiny Jynx finally appears after 4203 random encounters on the 6th phase. I can safely say I have never been more relieved that a hunt is over than this. Don't get me wrong, it was worth it but man it tested me at times. I had two super long phases and I was only single hunting this. At most I could do probably 600 a day if I really pushed myself but that was rare.
I made it my goal to try and finish this before New Year and I've only gone and done it. To date, this is one of the most valuable shinies for me just for the sheer willpower needed to finish this hunt.
If you're interested in this hunt, as it is the best way to hunt Jynx in the wild in terms of encounter rate, it's 43% with a level 51 repel trick in Platinum's Snowpoint Temple (Not available in Diamond or Pearl). It's very slow so don't make it your primary hunt is my advice.

Hey, either I'm missing something or you didn't put the right number in the title, I haven't watched all the way through but you're already on 22k RE by the seconds sneasel and the title says like 4k
It was 4k on the 6th phase. Each phase is counted differently.

Total: 68,548+ RE’s. At ~75/hour, this hunt took 913+ hours.
Sometimes I like to come back to this video just to remind myself that I can’t complain about long hunts :)
The sound you made right after the 3rd one at 31k shined actually broke my heart. Sorry your luck has been so bad this year when it comes to phase hunts, hope the roamer makes up for it

Have you considered hunting a shiny ponyta or rapidash I think the blue flames is one of the coolest designs. Same goes for shiny emboar too! Also keep it up man your vids are always an instant click for me

I have rapidash its gray flames and ponyta i have too with blue flames. Have about 400+ shinies but iam 28 i played pokemon almost my whole live lol

I remember watching this for the first time like a year ago and being so frustrated with RNG giving you all those Sneasel! So satisfying when you finally got Jnyx though.

Do you read? They corrected themselves that they meant the encounter rate was slow, not his way of hunting.
I had to do the same in White, when I encountered a shiny Rapidash, and my team was not as prepared as it should have been. It nearly wiped itself out with flare blitz, so I had to master ball it, but it's a beautiful shiny, so it was worth it.
I mean shiny Sneasal isn't bad but great job on the shiny Jynx man, really cool stuff love to see it.

Huh, two male and two female Sneasel... they have gender differences. So one male Sneasel and Weavile and one female Sneasel and Weavile.

I got a Shiny Abra in my first playthrough of Gold when i was little, totally random in the grass, had him all the way to Alakazam.....untill the battery died and well now it's lost forever.
Oh wow, that's chool! I have never gotten a full odds shiny before gen 6. Actually... I never got a shiny before gen 6 even when I have tried to hunt a lot. I have done pokéradar for hours mutliplr times in diamond and can't find anything.

That's a good question. I haven't had a really bad phasing experience since this or Spheal really. I've been doing a lot of Gen 3 and less repel tricks in general in the past year though so I think even if I do phase, the encounters are so fast/regular speed that I don't notice it as much. I got two Magikarp during my Feebas hunt & 3 Spearow during my Ekans hunt. Aside from that, I've had pretty good phase luck in the past few years.

In total it took 68,877 which is an average of 11,500 per shiny.
@@Sonikks Jesus Christ man that's dedication. The number of encounters only shows half the dedication you needed to get this considering the slow speed of encounters too. This would drive me crazy lol

It looks like all your shiny Sneasels have the wrong natures lol. Either boosting one important stat, but hindering its other important stat, or completely useless like Gentle (+SpDef, -Def). Super funny. Congrats on your beautiful shiny Yama-uba~! Master ball at least still looks very nice with the colour palette, so not a complete loss.

omg this happened to me once. It was horde hunts so it means far less, but i decided i’d try to get a 40% plusle for my play through and it took 8 phases to get and i wanted to die

My favourite thing about this video is when you click perish song on your shiny, in a failed attempt at preventing it from using its own perish song,

why would you use a pressure pokemon as a lead?
It increases the % of higher level Pokémon (Jynx in this case). I explain this in the intro.
