Although it's too late now, another option for the phone might have been a motorcycle handle bar mount on the tube around your windshield...it would have been a bit trickier to conceal the charging cord, but it could have given you more space on the top of the console. Just a thought...
I can just imagine going fishing with you. Being a tech myself we'll probably spend more time looking at improvements or projects that can be done on a boat we're on that we would totally miss the bite. Good thing there's fish markets. 😁
Lol it's a legitimate concern but I'm down for whatever project as long as it doesn't down the boat ;) lol can't afford to go boatless :) and that's true, never have been the best fisherman lol
I second the phone charger will make your compass terribly inaccurate. Even the metal cup holders affected the compass when you first started laying out the dash.
Yes and no ;) working on getting a building and doing more restoration projects. But at the marina right now for 3 weeks redoing a 2004 Boston Whaler 220 Dauntless that's been sitting for 10 years, getting an Optimax running, and rebuilding a 450R gearcase lol always in the boating field, trying to do more boat restorations though ;)
It's just a seadek helm pad that we had mad to fit that spot on the console. You can get one made from Next Level 407-704-5676 or here: floridamarinecustoms.com/
Absolutely never put cup holders on your console, 1st chop you will have liquid all over your electronics and dash. Invest in Robo cups. Or mnt fold out stainless cup holders below dash @knee level
My bad bro, yeah, the m, l, & xl sold out really quickly and we haven't restocked them, not sure when we will either :/. Sorry about that, thank you of wanting to support the channel though! This month you get a free buff with any shirt purchase though, if you're into any of the other styles, I know they aren't as hot as the American Fade with the hood though lol :)

Agree with that statement
That is so funny, when I get back from a day on the boat the first question my Dad asks is how did the boat run? Not what did you catch

Use a guass meter and test for emf, you’ll get an idea how close/far to mount
Question for maybe the boating podcast. Do you still work at the marina, if not are you still working in the boating field?

@@BornAgainBoating selling out is a good thing. I already have the sea foam one. I guess I'll wait🥺
You have gps. Compass really needed?
Absolutely!! What happens if GPS malfunctions or electronics go out. Compass is necessity!!
Yeah, compasses are definitely still needed but mostly just used for backups incase of electronic failure :)
The price of that phone charger is outrageous for $179, which seems like something only for the rich.
I wish you asked, first! 🙃
OMG, who TF needs a phone charger on their boat!!
People with old phones and wives ;)
