Except…the timeline. Shady Sands was destroyed “BEFORE” the events of New Vegas and Vegas itself looks almost abandoned(which is not what you would expect if the House Always Wins was the canon ending).
Here lately Amazon has not done well with shows needing a 2 season. Peripheral was a good show left off with a Clif hanger and they cancelled season 2. So I believe that companies need to film everything and then they can release it in seasons
Well first off the cryo chambers, thats setting up possibly a 3rd season. I remember someone mentioning in the series that their mother was a "courier" season 2 takes us to new vegas where, in the games the "courier" was the protagonist. The NCR seem to be the good guys in the series, you can get an NCR ending in new vegas. Hopefully we'll meet the great khans and caesars legion in season 2. As for how the story goes, don't know but can't wait.
If they hated NV they wouldn’t have put Vegas on the show and instead act like it never existed (but there were numerous references to NV). NV is my favorite game but my god do NV fans have the biggest victim mentality in the gaming world.
Bethesda and Obsidian are sister studios now. The team leads and directors in both studios respect each other's work. Stop BSing and looking up stuff from twitter
When you think of fallout you think of the Ranger. Even when the father and son wore the armor they purposely made the helmet look stupid as a two piece. I honestly think this is a huge pr stunt to completely make people stop thinking of Obsidian's version of fallout and focus on their "cool because power armor" bos. They also confirmed the brotherhood survived in the Commonwealth in the first episode, so they basically control the whole country at this point according to the show. I had to stop and look up the timeline trying to figure out if shady sands being gone made sense. But 2277 is fallout 2. But what's confusing is in the strange NCR ritual in vault 4 they had a picture of the president in fallout nv!!!! I noticed it almost immediately. They never mentioned the strange Enclave base the old man runs away from either. It's like all of the NCR's feats have been erased from the timeline all in favor for the brotherhood. When you think fallout Bethesda wants you to think brotherhood and their games, not NCR and Obsidian's game.
Well, the Ranger helmets have always been two pieces, since it's impossible to put on without it. They are wearing it badly to show that they ARNT Rangers, but seems like they wanted to at least reference them. And I think your looking really far into this. I doubt they are trying to do this on purpose
@@Littlejohnnymarston1 omg your right I'm a idiot lol. Thanks for pointing that out to me when I googled it last night some website said it was fallout 2. Don't trust the Internet lol. I just really hope the NCR isnt just gonna be this raider cult hybrid that we've seen so far.
Ok one thing that doesn’t make since is if vault 32 got destroyed 2 years prior management had to have known and idk why they would open the doors to 32 for Lucy to get married
Better question who did hank send to get his kids back for shady sands because he didn't just bomb Enclave maybe are robots remember there should be a f ton of robots
I personally think that Cooper's wife is in vault 31 as one of the mangers as she had mentioned in to cooper out by the pool. The daughter might be dead or maybe if Cooper's wife left the vault, might of had her reprinted as a sinth. That one does not have enough clues for me yet. And it you be just like Bethesda to have you run back and forth to complete a quest.
*Spoilers* Shady sands being nuked in 2277 definitely doesn’t line up with the lore of Fallout NV at all, NV takes place in 2281 and Shady Sands is still up and running fine. They definitely retconned the f*ck out of it. What a shame.
@@hieutruong7456 my bad, but as I have said in other comments, they might have shifted the timelines, to fit the story better. Cause if all other games are reconed why show new Vegas

Makes more sense for somone we know to be in control of new vegas rather than the courier so it doesn't ruin what path our courier took specifically and better that certain characters appear to give nods or easter eggs about the player
Retconned the best fallout game and a single man destroyed an entire nation. I hope they at least have some NCR remnants other than that weak final fight, didn't even get to see a ranger.
I think Max's arc is gonna be rebuilding the NCR. This allows 1. NCR to be the de facto good guys due to the viewer's connection with Max. And 2. This allows Bethesda to reset thr NCR in their own image
@@BasedHorriganyeah idk why people are sad abt this brotherhood has always slaughtered NCR in any fallout installment lmfao and they were no better than the brotherhood too
I wish to see more monsters too, but if the budget can't be spared for that much CGI or maybe even animatronics (prolly not), then I'd rather they'd just do what they did, and use CG monsters sparingly. The first season is such a compelling story, and story is exactly what matters the most imo.
The reveal that VaultTec dropped the first bomb is HUGE. Even the Enclave (the US government) thinks that China dropped the first bomb! One of my favorite parts about this show was that Mr House (CEO of Roboco) was in the room with all of the other corpos when they decided to drop the first bomb. I think this season was amazing but next season is going to be very divisive for fans. The best part of the ending of Fallout: New Vegas is that it's been very open-ended at this point in the story. With Howard and Lucy going to New Vegas to find her dad, we are going to find out many things. If Lucy's dad is going to New Vegas, it means that Mr House might still be alive. If that's the case then we are going to settle once-and-for-all if The Outer Words is a sequel sage to the Fallout franchise. I mean, Microsoft now owns Bethesda and Obsidian at this point which means they own Fallout and the Outer Worlds!
No, the chinese beat them to it. They just subbotaged peace talks and convince the USA to for for Beijiing even though Alaska was long retaken. Switchboard in fallout 4 confimred that china launched first.
Loved the series! Have been a big fan of the games for many years now…started with Fallout 2 back in the day (of course went back to 1 later!) The style was very in tune with the Bethesda games for sure… Though anyone else think they made Power Armour…well a bit too powerful? 😅 Personal hope for future seasons is more of a focus on the Enclave, would love them to delve into their history from the first bombs being dropped to present timeline!
I like how they retconned their own weapon, the cursed assault rifle. It actually doesn't look out of place being used exclusively by power armor users.
I liked the in game vehicles in the flashbacks, but didn’t like that there were none out in the world. I’m also unsure if finally identifying that vault tech were responsible for the war is a good idea or not. I am however looking forward to season 2!
They never fully mention it, but it’s assumed they figured out Vault 31 was manipulating everything with the frozen managers. Mutiny set in and they tried to escape. BUT there could be more to it because how the heck did Vault 32 get cleaned up so fast
Honestly i had very little faith in this show when i first heard about it ive been a fallout fan forver and i thought the live action couldnt be good but man was i wrong they captured the series very well it felt like fallout quests i would definitely recommend this to most people
I think the first season was mostly made to get a. Understanding of our characters and their motives as well as raise questions I hear a lot of people say the show changes the Lore or has too many plot holes but considering how far into the future it is since we last seen the ncr or the enclave in this world that's always changing and we're not exactly viewing the story from the perspective of somebody who knows much about the interworkings of the wasteland Maximus has spent most of his life in the lower ranks of the brotherhood the goal probably has more information than anybody but he's on his own specific mission and our vault dweller obviously has the least information on what's going on I don't know I'm losing track of my thought but I'm really excited for season 2 it's going to go so crazy pulling all these plot threads together
The Ghouls Family is in VAULT 31, she was a High Worker in Vault Tec an she said alot of times her Family( ghoul and child) gets in the oveseer Vault Which is Vault 31
I liked the show a lot, many goods things about it, from the small details to the overall tone. But i do not like how they seem to change or implicate stuff about lore that happened in the games. I guess we can just have it be a different/alternate setting than the game. After all what is canon is personal to each and every one of us players, based on what we did in the games.
Wait why didn’t the ghoul just kill t60 armor when he first pulled up in philly but at the end my guy took out like 4 armors down with the knowledge he had of the suits
Todd told Nolan not to do anything that could mess with Fallout 5. Yet that same consideration wasn't applied for Interplay-Obsidian Fallout. I don't understand why everything needs to be destroyed and looking right Fallout 3. Even New Vegas is probably soft retconned like the NCR lore.
I think the NCR's on-screen destruction is so Maximus can rebuild it and be the good guys. It kinda resets it for Fallout 5 so Bethesda can feel like the NCR is their own.
Season 2 coming Deathclaw skull in ending episode... Synths not being seen... Brother not being seen choosing to be frozen... Cooper not finding his "frozen family" Dad mc showing you his new home... I can go on and on
Vault tec may have worked with china to drop the bombs in fallout 3 the megaton nuke has a vault tec logo but at the same time their is a chinese submarine in fallout 4 Yangtze
Imagine that, a show that actually pays homage to the series its copying. Instead of just like "we were told not to play any of the games or read any of the lore"
a thing that bugs me is how did vault tec be the ones to nuke everything when in fallout 4 captain Zao says that he launched the nukes on to he commonwealth so I've come up with 2 ideas 1. China and vault tec worked together in nuking America hence how they got the nukes (i personally agree with this one) 2. China and vault tec launched the nuked on the same day by coincidence
Tbh i don't think vault tec dropped the first bombs even though its implied remember the ghouls wife worked for vault tec and we see when the bombs drop he's caught completely off guard and his wife being a ceo off vault tec guaranteed their spot in a vault
Someone at the birthday asked how they got Cooper Howard and he answered alimony, so I assume that means they got divorced. Still doesn't explain why she would let Janey go with her father when she knows the bombs are going to drop. I think they were just letting us know vault tech were ruthless enough to start the holocaust if nobody else did.
It could make sense that China dropped bombs in major areas and Vault-Tec decided to drop the rest to achieve their goal and blame China for all of them
It's also implied that Coop and his wife were split up as one guy says Coop is doing the cowboy gig to help pay alimony, maybe the wife didn't expect that Coop and their daughter would be so close to a blast radius
Bro so is the best game new Vegas not cannon now or what bc of shady stands being destroyed in 2277 and fnv taking place in 2281, also new Vegas looks kinda destroyed idk if thats what they were trying to show but if it is that makes the events of fnv meaningless and thats a problem for me
I’m a terribly afraid that that is exactly what just happened. They said the show “wasn’t for fans” and now we see what they meant. This just retconned New Vegas to its core. Enjoy the game because there will not be a “true sequel” to it. Bethesda for all intent and purpose just tossed the Obsidian lore away.
Y'all upset about something we already knew for years, Bethesda never made it a point to include NV into their lore because it was never meant to be. They are just saying the quiet part out loud. Just accept it move on. This is the way
I don't understand all the NV complaints...it states in NV that the NCR is crumbling....Shady Sands having a downfall in 2077 doesn't mean it was in ruins, simply that things were coming apart, then it was bombed sometime later, but they didn't put a definitive date over the mushroom cloud on the board. NV being destroyed at the end, also shows downed NCR aircraft which denotes a struggle in the area at a time still unstated, so the only thing that is ACTUALLY messed up was the amalgamation of the Boneyard and Shady Sands...right?
About to watch it, I must confess yes I have had multiple times to play the games 😢just never had. Feeling somewhat guilty over here, I should fire the first two games at least.
Yall can’t run from this show it’s canon. It messed up the timeline and retcon Fallout new Vegas out of existence, the game that kept people interested in this series before fallout 4. Think of all the great characters from New Vegas Father Elijah, Joshua graham, Benny, Veronica, Boone, Gannon how many more none of it matters they don’t exist and yall can’t pretend this show ain’t canon cause the games are now are gonna follow this timeline of events now so fuck fallout 5 too and whatever after.

The only thing not making an appearance in the series so far is the super mutants. I'll bet season two will have something about them in it. Though rounding up a bunch of 6ft8in actors is going to be tough. Now that Vault Tec has been named as the source of the start of the war it is going to be Canon from here on out. The conspiracy between all the major corporate players is new. The destruction of the Republic of California can be cross referenced to the Fallout New Vegas DLC The Divide. The ending scene is the father approaching the remnants of Las Vegas. We won't know about WHO controls Las Vegas until next season or beyond. Oh and as to the Gulpers those were prevalent in the Fallout 4 DLC Far Harbor. How they made it to both coasts is something not yet revealed. SPOILER: The three big reveals are 1: Vault Tec Started the war. 2: The conspiracy between the other major corporations and Vault Tec 3: Where all the executives of those corporations went when the 2077 war started.

Except…the timeline. Shady Sands was destroyed “BEFORE” the events of New Vegas and Vegas itself looks almost abandoned(which is not what you would expect if the House Always Wins was the canon ending).
Why'd House let The Strip get bombed?
I’d imagine the minutemen are canon
@@rainbowsixODSThow 2077? 10 years after vegas
@@Ghost1828 well they said in the show that the commonwealth was in contact so if it destroyed they won
Ahhh that would be cool!
Bruh, even New Vegas looks destroyed. Bethesda really hates Obsidian and Fallout NV.
😂😂
It looks like it’s still up tho. It was a distant shot from over a sunset horizon. And it’s 16 years after nv. So things have def changed
@@marcoslopez832 I'm curious if they rebuilt
They're setting up NCR to actually kick the BoS in the balls one last time, HELIOS ONE style.
2277 is not fallout 2 it’s the first battle of Hoover dam and fallout 3
@@Littlejohnnymarston1 omg your right I'm a idiot lol. Thanks for pointing that out to me when I googled it last night some website said it was fallout 2. Don't trust the Internet lol.
I just really hope the NCR isnt just gonna be this raider cult hybrid that we've seen so far.
@@Littlejohnnymarston1holy shit that actually kinda explain the “fall of shady sands” since Caesar did talk about instability in the NCR.
Stephanie's last name is Hawthorne. That says so much
Oooohh dang! Great catch
Cooper also mentions something about the T-45... Shame we did not see the bos use the t45 and t51 since they are the best looking.
I'm almost 100% positive they're going to introduce Mr house
He’s in the show. Just a quick cameo but he’s there already
Ole Robert was literally at the meeting scene of the big wigs.
I'm almost 100% positive they'll butcher him.
Its written on the white board, a mushroom cloud in place of 2281
Ok one thing that doesn’t make since is if vault 32 got destroyed 2 years prior management had to have known and idk why they would open the doors to 32 for Lucy to get married
Yes that also doesn't make sense, unless the management knew, and hopes it was one of the icecubes from 31
Remember the “management” of vault 31 is just a roomba with a brain that opened vault 31 to a stranger not far fetched he opened 32 as well
Ok I know for a fact you didn’t watch the whole series because I started it at 12 am and just finished it😭😭💯
same bro lol 3am just finished it
my biggest question, who cleaned up vault 32??
Exactly! Even more to the mystery
*SPOILER*
I think the only possible answer is everyone living in 33 who were from vault 31.
Better question who did hank send to get his kids back for shady sands because he didn't just bomb
Enclave maybe are robots remember there should be a f ton of robots
@@mistahj7568 Yup missing protectrons. Also only one brain in a box aka a robo-brain and that from vault 31.
plus the father and son doing lead farming wearing the iconic ncr ranger outfit
And that was Eric Estrada, lol
I personally think that Cooper's wife is in vault 31 as one of the mangers as she had mentioned in to cooper out by the pool. The daughter might be dead or maybe if Cooper's wife left the vault, might of had her reprinted as a sinth. That one does not have enough clues for me yet. And it you be just like Bethesda to have you run back and forth to complete a quest.
I freaking dare them to bring back Caesar's Legion into the season 2. Come on let's go. Let's see audience's reaction to a faction like this.
Yeah the az cardinals uniforms will go hard !!!
*Spoilers*
Shady sands being nuked in 2277 definitely doesn’t line up with the lore of Fallout NV at all, NV takes place in 2281 and Shady Sands is still up and running fine. They definitely retconned the f*ck out of it. What a shame.
But shady sands is not a big town, only a few houses, while here it's a big fucking town.
So it would make sense, if they shift the timeline around
@@weybye91Shady sands is a large city in the second game
@@hieutruong7456 my bad, but as I have said in other comments, they might have shifted the timelines, to fit the story better.
Cause if all other games are reconed why show new Vegas
@@weybye91Because the fans love New Vegas. This is typical Bethesda bullshit. They are steal seething mad that Obsidian made New Vegas, which was better than anything they have released story wise. They have long wanted a way to “fix” this and now they have. Oh we will still get “New Vegas” it’ll just be the fucked up version that Bethesda craps out. I loved this show, I am excited for season 2 but still FUCK BETHESDA!!!
they retcon fallout 2 and 1 aswell and even pre war lore
Makes more sense for somone we know to be in control of new vegas rather than the courier so it doesn't ruin what path our courier took specifically and better that certain characters appear to give nods or easter eggs about the player
Vault 21 was one of the bigger vaults and it's literally on the strip. It's experiment was that all conflicts to be solved through gambling
Retconned the best fallout game and a single man destroyed an entire nation. I hope they at least have some NCR remnants other than that weak final fight, didn't even get to see a ranger.
Oh we saw “the rangers”. The father and son pair. And they looked dumb as hell. This was Bethesda taking a steaming dump all over the Obsidian lore.
I think Max's arc is gonna be rebuilding the NCR. This allows 1. NCR to be the de facto good guys due to the viewer's connection with Max. And 2. This allows Bethesda to reset thr NCR in their own image
@@XanderJones55exactly, finally someone acknowledges that NCR was actually tippin on the dark side in NV. This is a clean start for the faction.
@@BasedHorriganyeah idk why people are sad abt this brotherhood has always slaughtered NCR in any fallout installment lmfao and they were no better than the brotherhood too
@@barewitness2281 And also, the NCR was kinda shitting on everyone in NV, including House. Like they were the ones holding Hoover Dam come on.
theres a chance maximus/lucy reboot ncr, cause the icon theme song only play on ncr.
I wish to see more monsters too, but if the budget can't be spared for that much CGI or maybe even animatronics (prolly not), then I'd rather they'd just do what they did, and use CG monsters sparingly.
The first season is such a compelling story, and story is exactly what matters the most imo.
I hope they have the budget for 12 episodes next season with a nice budget.
Also Maximus his backstory is the same as the kid you find in the fridge in Fallout 3, atleast the scene of him getting out of the milk fridge.
I hope they can add more episodes per season. 12 would be amazing. 8 just wasn't enough.
I just binged the whole season and loved it!!
We can also get closure on what is canon for new vegas
Loved the series! Have been a big fan of the games for many years now…started with Fallout 2 back in the day (of course went back to 1 later!)
The style was very in tune with the Bethesda games for sure…
Though anyone else think they made Power Armour…well a bit too powerful? 😅
Personal hope for future seasons is more of a focus on the Enclave, would love them to delve into their history from the first bombs being dropped to present timeline!
I like how they retconned their own weapon, the cursed assault rifle. It actually doesn't look out of place being used exclusively by power armor users.
I’m so happy we know who vault boy was in real life that’s pretty cool trivia and maybe we’ll see other of his cowboy movies in games moving further
Idk about the ending. How is it going to tie in with the endings from the games? What is technically "canon"?
I liked the in game vehicles in the flashbacks, but didn’t like that there were none out in the world. I’m also unsure if finally identifying that vault tech were responsible for the war is a good idea or not. I am however looking forward to season 2!
I wouldn't say they confirmed who dropped the first bomb, just that vault tech were willing to do it if nobody else did.
@@wurzella1 that’s true. I guess we’ll see if they did and if they can pull off another really good season.
if they introduce new vegas and im 100% sure that house appears on season 2 i think fnv ending is with house ending
That would be my guess. It’s weird because the games have multiple endings so they’ll have to pick a canon one
@@JBuckStudios As long as the Courier shows up in Ranger Armor for a tiny cameo, I'll be happy.
@@BigBootyDutythe ganon family tesla armour would be better imo
Vault 32, what went wrong before the raiders came actually? Did i miss it
They never fully mention it, but it’s assumed they figured out Vault 31 was manipulating everything with the frozen managers. Mutiny set in and they tried to escape. BUT there could be more to it because how the heck did Vault 32 get cleaned up so fast
Goodmorning Ghoulia, I built this house myself from the crown molding to the 200 ceiling fans. Thats the kinda ghoul youre getting.
Is the Enclave the faction that secretely controls Vault-Tec?
Finished the show in two days and decided to give Fallout 4 another run 🏃
Ole Coop is sporting that Stetson like R. Givens in Justified.
Love that they showed the Junk Jet
Honestly i had very little faith in this show when i first heard about it ive been a fallout fan forver and i thought the live action couldnt be good but man was i wrong they captured the series very well it felt like fallout quests i would definitely recommend this to most people
Great video,. Just what I wanted and expected.. great verbal breakdown of all the crucial story elements in a reasonable amount of time,.
Just subscribed!
If I had to be honest I think Maximus’ story line was disappointing but still a great premier for Fallout
All im saying is that whoever did the CGI on Lucy's dads face during the flashback when hes "young" needs to be fired. Otherwise great season overall
The hidden messages in this series are genius. Quantum irony.
I can hear Jerry 😂in that Overseer.😂
This show turned out great.
Bring on season 2!
Lol dude this series is perfect for the return of webisodes lol I would love to see occasional short visits back to the wastelands of new Vegas
This guy feels like a new fallout fan
I enjoyed the Fallout show alot. So excited to see New Vegas in season 2.
It kinda resets it for Fallout 5 so Bethesda can feel like the NCR is their own.
cry
So lore rich. What the paramount halo series should have been!!
It would be cool if every episode had an opening where they show a different vault, and what they do in those vaults.
That’s what I hope is featured a lot more in season 2. The vault experiments and mysteries are the best
Shady Sands became the NCR if this show deviates from that it IS NOT Fallout.
Right. The NCR isn't just Shady Sands in the same way that the U.S. isn't just Washington D.C.
@@Thagomizer I rescued Tandi, talked to her again 80 years later and fought at Hoover Fam I know 😉

Dang nabbit!! It would have been so cool to have Matthew Perry play a role for season 2. Rest in peace, you magnificent bastard!
Also rene auberjonois aka Mr house. Rip
Benny would be long dead IF they follow The Courier's lore of getting revenge in NV
Season 2 coming
Deathclaw skull in ending episode...

Wrong Coast for Three Daaaaaawg to show up
The comments are making my head spin in confusion
Vault tec may have worked with china to drop the bombs in fallout 3 the megaton nuke has a vault tec logo but at the same time their is a chinese submarine in fallout 4 Yangtze
I think it could’ve been better if they should people falling out of things more. The show is called fallout. How often do that actually happened?
Imagine that, a show that actually pays homage to the series its copying. Instead of just like "we were told not to play any of the games or read any of the lore"
3 episodes in and maybe my favorite show since TLOU
I bet season 2 has the courier running new Vegas with yes man. The end credits images might allude to this with the dead security bots
11:16 Why has no one said that he had fallout rule 34 open?!?
11:21 um...the tabs...
a thing that bugs me is how did vault tec be the ones to nuke everything when in fallout 4 captain Zao says that he launched the nukes on to he commonwealth so I've come up with 2 ideas 1.
They could get years of content out of the Ghoul alone.
Im gutted mathew perry will not reprise his role as benny 😢
I doubt Benny would be in the show IF they follow the lore of The Courier getting revenge
They should make Fallout 5
Nuked after, city was a shadow if itself before the nuke
Cry about it.
Just like TLOU, this is a very very awesome adaptation from video game to live action. Walter goggins as the ghoul was awesome
I hope to see the courier in season 2
Robert House was in that vault Tec meeting, think we get an attack against new Vegas by Bos with liberty prime?
Should have said “crack a nuka-cola” 😂
About to watch it, I must confess yes I have had multiple times to play the games 😢just never had. Feeling somewhat guilty over here, I should fire the first two games at least.
i loved this tv show. i never played the game, i thought the vault tech/conspiracy 31 very good stuff. maybe nod to section 31 of star trek lol.
Yall can’t run from this show it’s canon. It messed up the timeline and retcon Fallout new Vegas out of existence, the game that kept people interested in this series before fallout 4. Think of all the great characters from New Vegas Father Elijah, Joshua graham, Benny, Veronica, Boone, Gannon how many more none of it matters they don’t exist and yall can’t pretend this show ain’t canon cause the games are now are gonna follow this timeline of events now so fuck fallout 5 too and whatever after.
dawg the game still exists, you can go play it right now :)
Maybe if Todd sees how angry we get maybe he'll change it?
They didn’t retcon it did they

SPOILER:
The three big reveals are 1: Vault Tec Started the war. 2: The conspiracy between the other major corporations and Vault Tec 3: Where all the executives of those corporations went when the 2077 war started.
