the Trevor that died in season one is the Trevor that was running away from both of the Perry’s in the season 2 alternate reality, the Trevor that Royal threw in the hole is very much alive somewhere, remember even the coroner confirmed that Trevor was only dead for hours, not for days and the cause of death was different.
Also...there was a nice flashback/fast forward regarding "Royal and CC"! There are 2 scenes in the final episode that suggests that young Royal upon meeting young CC in the barn for the first time and having a "seizure" and later having another seizure one the way to get Amy in his truck with CC may not be young Royal's first rodeo with the "Hole"! OR....maybe is just the time travel connection that I feel Royal is the KING PIN to the whole thing!
I think there are branch time lines. Since we haven’t seen time traveling effect the current time line. But I think their headaches are once u travel in the whole ur connected to it. U can tell when someone uses or it opens or closes. Maybe even when it’s about to be used.
I don’t remember Joy falling through the hole to end up in the past. I just remember her walking along a trail and getting lost and then seeing the tribe. How did that time? Travel occur?
We just have to assume it was the black mineral trail she followed. Every other person needed the hole to transport hut she didn’t. So the rules are muddy or something else
There are time portals that pop up all around the town. She told Shoshone women from the 70s that she followed the trail and just ended up in the past. She also states at some point to Royal how the signs of the time travel were around the whole time. Referencing the man in season 1 that said someone disappeared right next him. Dinosaurs in caves and people just going missing.
I just hope they finish the show, (satisfyingly) before it gets cancelled! This is a great video! Gives me a lot of perspective after getting caught up! I also love the color theory. Breaking Bad did a tremendous job with color theory!
I think it could have used more episodes to explore some.more tangents this season took on. The woman from 1972 seemed to be more of a red herring in that it felt more random and eradicated the way the black hole appears to whomever. And why the hole never came back for her. Not so sure how it was so present throughout this season. Like people waiting around d for a bus. Also just a heads up if you like this show you would DEFINITELY like a show called DARK WINDS An awesome show!!!
Up to episode 7, I am locked in all in. Episode 7 was great. Thoughtful. Especially if you have been part of a broken family where grandparents aren't the best. I did not like the writers choice that episode 8 Amy would not be reunited. I feel they should have reunited the family and the show should have figured more on time travel and the butterfly effect. Not showing Amy back with her grandparents I feel was wrong. And because this show was dumped. I do not feel we will get a season 3. Have a good day Jared. Huge Fan of your work.
Royal's father was a piece of work and I can see why he never told anybody where he was from and why it was easy to move on from that life because his father was evil. Perry actually went and fixed what he ruined by sacrificing himself for Trevor which means Trevor has to be back for season 3. Joy going to have her one with that realty company in season 3. Because he realized that place was built on the backs of her ancestors and stealing from others. Perry version of Royal and CeCe was crazy because Royal showing him his family member from his Sumner side was wild that was still living and them somehow owning a store considering they were poor when he was a child before he jumped into the hole after killing his father was very cool to see. It shows he hasn't forgotten himself. Autumn is definitely crazy and she and Royal are the glue to everything. That's why those numbers were disconnected after Rebecca took Amy because Autumn figured out she had to find Amy to fulfill her destiny of getting found by well off family and starting her cult and with Rebecca having Amy on the run she would not have that chance. This why she didn't have any money in her accounts and those numbers were disconnected I'm thinking to her mother and sister.
Really liked this season. Only thing that bothered me was Autumn not realizing Amy was her younger self. Even with memory loss, you’d still recognize yourself by appearance… if I was living with a 10 years younger version of me, I’m pretty sure I’d know.
The season felt rushed and they definitely could have gone for 10 episodes and spent more time developing the timeline. Great review and the best I've seen. I am a new sub now.
Yes, could have had 10 episodes easily. The whole $500,000 problem was resolved so trivially. Plus present time.perry is sometimes rewarded in that he gets his daughter back w coherence of future events
Whatever happened to 22-24 episodes per season. I see tv land has experienced shrinkflation like every thing else……..it could have been longer. More character development. We really only got a small glimpse of Joy’s four years in the past! Amy now looks like a 13 year old. Not 9! Wanna see how that’s gonna play out. Probably won’t see 9 yr old Amy again. The show could have answered why Rebecca had a thing with Lewis and why she chose to run? Was it domestic abuse since Perry has a temper? My thing is how is that much property only worth $500k. Hundreds of acres possibly in the thousands?
Removing Bryan Watkins from the executive producer position was a huge mistake I think. The second season wasn't bad, but they made Autumn look too crazy, too often, and the way that Billy died seemed a bit ridiculous. There were other problems with it, but these were the worst.
This season was good, but barely any answers. I get tired of shows that tease answers but don’t deliver. Kind of like “From” which has answered nothing in two seasons. I’ll still watch season 3 if it happens since Amazon seems to cancel a lot of shows and it took them forever to renew this show for season 2.
I like how autumn's name is the reference to the bootstrap paradox. Autumn tells amy the name, amy remember the name and becomes her name. The time mechanics is indeed confuse, if we are not talking about multiple realitys, the only reality that we are seeing gotta be changing continuosly, and a really hope seaon 3 explain the missing peaces
How come Perry Abbott is alive, when he killed his past self? Shouldn't he disappear too, given that all the timelines are merging into one without creating another timelines?
I believe there are multiple timelines. They are separate and not merging unless FORCED. I think they are forcefully merged when Autumn and Royal come in contact. I also believe you can see other timelines when you use the mineral. For example when Perry goes back in time these events never happened to the characters we know. They definitely would have remembered. Same with Joy going back and resulting in Royal killing his father purposely this time. Time travel can be done in so many different ways because no one knows how it actually works. Pretty much every depiction of time travel will have terrible loop holes that you shouldn't try to make sense of lol for instance, if joy for sent back to the 1800s how did the picture change? Her being in the 1800s now should delete everything she's done in the present right? Know one should know her? Yet the picture changes and they do know her ofc. Only answer imo is multiple timelines.
Oh. Also i read someone was or has put together a petition with signatures to keep the show. If i see it, i will post it. If anyone else sees it, please do the same. Thank you
Idk if Royal is just staying tight lipped about it or if it takes time for the time line in the future to change from changes in the past. If that makes any sense.
It sucks that after 2 seasons, we still know nothing about time travel or any rules about it. There are just too many instances where an incident should have changed the future.
Thanks for the video. Yeah I was also trying to figure out the rules of the time travel in this. So is Trevor alive now? Or is that a different universe? One thing I found interesting was that when the pastor came to the Abbots to tell them their bail was paid, the camera made it a point to focus on Royal getting a glass and putting some water in it. And the same thing when the pastor asked for water. It seemed unnecessary unless the director wanted us to remember it.
@@JBuckStudios I don’t usually like shows like this, but this one is fantastic. My only complaint is there isn’t more. And I was thinking the whole time there’s no way they tie all this up by the last episode this season. But aside from Paw Tillerson they did. And I’m sure in a sneak peek from season 3 we’ll see where (when) he’s at.
In season 1, when Billy plans to kill Royal in the "Roller King" skating rink - The lights are partially out, and behind Royal it reads "R King." Id love to hear more theories on Royal being the key to all of this
Agreed, I don’t think this analysis is considering that there is now more than one timeline. It seems like the show is going with a multi-verse scenario.
I don't know if it was a slip of the tongue, but the narrator here says that Amy fell thru the hole and ended up in what appeared to be the near future. I'm pretty sure she ended up in the past,. Assuming she's 9, and Autumn is 35 or so, Amy would have ended up in 1999-2000. That way, she'll be 35ish in the current day.
Royals Dad when walking him into the boot shop said something along the lines of “Son don’t you ever mistake an Indian for a White man” as if that was the greatest sin. Royal then chooses to save an Indian (Joy) over his white man father. I think Young Royal made up the hunting excuse out of embarrassment and contentment for choosing the minority (right decision) over his own blood and when Joy tells him this, he finally gets closure that he made the RIGHT decision all these years later choosing the Native American over the white man
@@Hereregoagain ahh I think she changed the past and Royals memory is now jumbled. Maybe Royal also secretly remembers Perry. When Perry walks in after getting rid of his own body the pan to Royal outside holding the door when everyone walks in. They put the focus on Royal for a reason there imo
An "Abott" is also what they call the head of a monastery. Kinda though CC could be a allegory of Mary Magdalene as well seeing as she was originally with Wayne
FYI, the ear ringing for going through the hole did happen only to people who went through the who. Son is in the 1980s cause he went through the hole and the sheriff although traveled to the past via the trail up the mountain, traveled back through the hole to present day
the Trevor that died in season one is the Trevor that was running away from both of the Perry’s in the season 2 alternate reality, the Trevor that Royal threw in the hole is very much alive somewhere, remember even the coroner confirmed that Trevor was only dead for hours, not for days and the cause of death was different.
I think the way you enter the hole matters most. Perry WILLINGLY jumps into the hole to go back to 1984, but once he’s there, Young Royal FORCES him back into the hole putting Perry not back into his current day that he left, but close too it. I think Perry will be stuck in that timeframe up until the day he is supposed to die (when Wayne throat punches him) Royal originally WILLINGLY jumps into the hole as a kid, and then Autumn FORCIBLY pushes him back into it 50 years later-ish Joy never even enters the hole, just follows the black line but then when trying to protect young Royal she WILLINGLY jumps back into the hole. I think that *grab the ear* static noise that Joy, Perry, and Royal experience is because they willingly jumped in the hole.
Season 3 will see a greater involvement of the lady scientist, as well as the corporate interests she truly represents. As the one paying the 30 grand (30 pieces of silver), she represents the Pharisees; She is one of the "faithful", but only as a means to personal gain. There must be multiple timelines, or are there? I guess we'll find out, if Joy suddenly realizes that Trevor never died. We also get a hard reset back to the beginning of the series, but with Perry knowing about some of what's coming. Will he and Royal kill Autumn in this timeline? Will they take pains to hide the hole? Will dead Perry appear on the mountain just as Trevor did? There are so many different paths to follow that the producers can't help but surprise us! 😃
Is Perry in like an alternate dimension? I would assume if he passed away while fighting Trevor that he would have never made it to the hole. I would assume if nothing changes throwing a rock in the river still makes a splash.
All the metaphors notwithstanding, I have some views. Autumn had to throw Amy into the hole for Autumn to exist, so Joy could not have stopped it, no matter what she did. And Perry, arriving back "early": him interrupting himself, and getting killed instead of Trevor, caused a new branch in the timeline. That means he never jumped in the hole in this timeline, so to everyone else, he just went to the bar and came home. That also means he can never return to the timeline we have been watching unless he jumps back in the hole and it spits him out in his timeline.
Which time line is correct? They all can't be correct unless the past and future don't change. But the past and future did change. If Perry doesn't kill Trevor, that means the future will change between the Tillerson boys and their desire to own the Abbot's ranch. How did Perry end up during young Royal's time line and not 1882? Different time lines don't make sense because the past affects the future. And if the past changes, then so will the future. If Perry doesn't die from Trevor's blow, how would both Perry's get along? Who would leave the present and who would stay? I don't understand time lines too well but the show is real good. I know there will be a season 3 because I fell into a hole and ate some black matter. I ended up in 2026 and was able to binge watch season 3. 👍🤣
I'm not real big on symbolism. I think the show is straight foward & fans either look for stuff that ain't there or compare this to other time travel shows. This show is different. There's no time machine. No one knows how time works. When Autumn speaks about how time works, she's guessing. Royal has a memory of his fathers death. Time passed, in the future Joy went back in time & that changed the details of Royals fathers death. It also might of changed Royal because when they questioned Lewis about Amys whereadouts, Royal seamed less blood thirsty. Joy living in the past, changed her, she want's revenge againts a descendant of a man who wronged her in the past. Before Joy went to the past she wasdn't vengeful. Auyumn is just who she said she was. A young woman looking for her past, a past that involves getting pushed into a time hole at 9 or 10, I don't remember Amy's exact age. So Autumn didn't know she was Amy until the end of season 2. This is getting long, but this is my take on what's going on.
Вот зачем они закрыли сериал? Из последнего это одно из самых стоящих, сейчас мало хороших историй, и эта действительно интересная 😫 Только погрузилась и узнала, что они его не продлили, так нельзя.
Maybe that cult that Autumn grew up in was her own cult! She pushed Amy into the hole, and Amy landed in the future, where she was raised in Autumn's cult. (But then, how would Autumn not know she was Amy.. )
Perry prevented himself from killing Trevor, so all the story related to Trevor’s death shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Trevor, from the standpoint of everyone else except Perry, never died.
I really like this show but really got upset with things like the obvious grandfather paradox that should have never been allowed. (When his son gets himself....you know) great show but have someone in science who knows temporal mechanics or time travel. Not to mention the less obvious grandfather paradox when Autum changes her past to prevent her existence as well. For all those out there thinking different universal timelines... the scar proves the timelines connect. How can Rhett be Joseph and Judas? Those are different Testaments.
We don’t know shit about the boot strap paradox, time traveling, time loops, it’s clearly more on the sci-fi side of things. On the side of theories, that being said, so many people in the comments suddenly majored in timey wimey stuff
Another biblical “motive”could be old man Tillerson standing at the Hole, grieving and shouting at the Hole, demanding an explanation that he finally gets in some form ( we dont se it) It strikes me to be a lot similar to the story of Job in the bible! He too has lost everything and in his pain he demands an answer from god and gets it! and just like the answer makes sense to Job it does to Tillerson!
A good show, but with too many loose ends and plot deviations. Totally okay with ambiguous ends but I feel like they left too many questions unresolved. The ending just felt unsatisfying. Also Rhett and Maria were totally irrelevant this season, they contributed nothing to the plot.
The only useless character arc or story line was definitely Perry's. He left his family to fend for themselves. When he is the one that causes the mess in the first place. Now I don't know what his purpose is anymore. They could easily never show him again and the story would not be impacted what so ever. Especially since Amy is no longer in the original time line anyway. And Rebecca only left cause Cecilia told her to leave for have an affair with Lewis. Other than that. Great season. Hope season 3 gets picked up.
I'm just not sure I can follow this show. Why would Perry throw his body into the hole, when he knows it will end up somewhere...seeing it happened in season one. If I needed to replace myself in another timeline, I would not leave my dead body for others to find... But, Perry also has one scene that just makes me furious. While in the hat store, Perry is conversing with Royal. Behind him is a more modern temperature control on the wall. But, during the conversation, they move back and forth to Perry, and now there is a hat hanging there. Another scene it goes back to the temperature control. It doesn't represent anything but a mistake, and takes me out of the show completely. Finally, not following the info from season one about the cult and their control of the fields and just ignoring telling us anything about the hole seems like I wasted a lot of time. I mean, look at another show playing with what your understanding of that world..."FROM". That show at least has a lot of hidden symbology and continues to build on their story and feels like it is moving forward. Outer Range season two felt almost pointless, like a side story.
I'm really annoyed with the writers for the script they gave joy. Her whole character is annoying and weird. And her wife always has the same face. i just think they didnt give the native american representation any justice.
absolute 100% solid ****ing crime to dump all the episodes at once. this would have been great like constellation, to chew on every single week. i cannot stress enough a show like this should not be released all at once. if you love binging. you simply wait for the season to finish. so cultured people can analyze each episode like a slice of pie. you are not supposed to eat the whole pie every time you buy a pie.
This season was a turd, no focus on the actual main story rather just veering off into other useless plots like a pothead out on an adventure. Hope they don’t release another season and let die down.
*What did you think of OUTER RANGE Season 2? What theories do you have for SEASON 3?*

@@NickBishop-hb7yfwhy was there a thick trail of mineral leading to the woods?? How did it get there, and why was the trail to the woods?
JBuck! Great Summary! Not sure how you got this up so quick!
Ayyyeee thank you! I didn’t sleep, and I regret it fully lol
I just read they cancelled it due to the budget of filming outside action and the actors. Very disappointing
@@TangoKiloAlpha54 All good questions that could have been addressed.
I believe it was renewed quickly, but the writers strike delayed a lot of new seasons.
Great breakdown! Explained alot of stuff I didn't connect
Appreciate it, and thanks for stopping by! I havent a clue where a potential season 3 will go
I like how autumn's name is the reference to the bootstrap paradox.
Great breakdown. Amazing show! Season 3 please 🕳
Oh. Also i read someone was or has put together a petition with signatures to keep the show. If i see it, i will post it. If anyone else sees it, please do the same. Thank you
Why doesn’t Royal remember that he knew Perry in 1984?
Good question, or does he. I think Royal has not come all the way clean.
I thought Perry was in the other timeline and that's why Royal had that reaction when "our" perry gets home. BUT Wane remembered him, soooo?
Idk if Royal is just staying tight lipped about it or if it takes time for the time line in the future to change from changes in the past. If that makes any sense.
It sucks that after 2 seasons, we still know nothing about time travel or any rules about it. There are just too many instances where an incident should have changed the future.
Through the serie we learn that Royal is a very quiet and stubborn man. I think Royal remember Perry from 1984 but does not reveal it…
Thanks for the video.
This video could’ve been 30 minutes longer and I’d still be happy
The season could have been 30 episodes longer too. Lol
Thank you 🙏🏻 what did you think of the Season?
That missing episode 8 was felt
@@JBuckStudios I don’t usually like shows like this, but this one is fantastic. My only complaint is there isn’t more. And I was thinking the whole time there’s no way they tie all this up by the last episode this season. But aside from Paw Tillerson they did. And I’m sure in a sneak peek from season 3 we’ll see where (when) he’s at.
Both Royal and Tillerson make a grunting noise.
Great explanation! I sure hope Season 3 happens:)
This video explains a lot. Thanks for this
Appreciate it! Thanks for checking it out
In season 1, when Billy plans to kill Royal in the "Roller King" skating rink - The lights are partially out, and behind Royal it reads "R King." Id love to hear more theories on Royal being the key to all of this
Well done mate !!! 😎🔥
Appreciate it!
I was really hoping the show would stick to just one time-line, but Perry throwing his own dead younger body in the hole makes that almost impossible.
That way, she'll be 35ish in the current day.
great breakdown man.
Why didn't Autumn get a headache since she has been in the whole.
I think "our" Royal really killed his father by accident and Joy was also in the other timeline
Season 2 was sooooo slow and painful to watch; worse: Intentionally convoluted and pretentious. This video is much better. Saved me 8 hours. Thanks.
No problem! It's like they dissolved half of the storylines into a quick 5 minutes explanation, and then on to the next things
There is an upside down cross built into the architecture of the Abbott ranch house underneath the peak on the right side of the house...
This show is a sci-fi soap opera, that being said, I LOVE IT!
Why were half the characters sidelined? Nothing about the mining company?
I think the way you enter the hole matters most. Perry WILLINGLY jumps into the hole to go back to 1984, but once he’s there, Young Royal FORCES him back into the hole putting Perry not back into his current day that he left, but close too it. I think Perry will be stuck in that timeframe up until the day he is supposed to die (when Wayne throat punches him)
Royal originally WILLINGLY jumps into the hole as a kid, and then Autumn FORCIBLY pushes him back into it 50 years later-ish
Joy never even enters the hole, just follows the black line but then when trying to protect young Royal she WILLINGLY jumps back into the hole.
I think that *grab the ear* static noise that Joy, Perry, and Royal experience is because they willingly jumped in the hole.
Great show
Season 3 will see a greater involvement of the lady scientist, as well as the corporate interests she truly represents.
Thank you for watching and reviewing so I didn't have to watch. So over all these time jumping shows. I did make it thru Dark! 😂
Amy cannot pop up in the future...
An "Abbot" is in charge of a religious cloister. The Abbots have separated themselves from the world as much as monks do.
09:07 inflation took some spinning over the years 😅
Which time line is correct?
Didn’t even know season 2 was out
They did almost no marketing for it
The Amy and Autum girl both scar disappeared which wasn’t explained much more
Maybe that cult that Autumn grew up in was her own cult!
There’s more biblical references that you don’t see right off, like loving thy neighbor
18:08 😂
Absalom/King David
Rhett/Royal
You're smart
I’m going to send this comment to my ex. Thank you
Royal remembers Perry he's Chronos, not Jesus.
This is the best breakdown video of Outer Range I've seen so far.
We don’t know shit about the boot strap paradox, time traveling, time loops, it’s clearly more on the sci-fi side of things. On the side of theories, that being said, so many people in the comments suddenly majored in timey wimey stuff
There will not be a season 3, the show unfortunately was cancelled.
Deep
Wow! I feel like an idiot. This all makes perfect sense and I saw none of that.
They throw her in the hole. The End. Thanks Amazom
Another biblical “motive”could be old man Tillerson standing at the Hole, grieving and shouting at the Hole, demanding an explanation that he finally gets in some form ( we dont se it)
It strikes me to be a lot similar to the story of Job in the bible! He too has lost everything and in his pain he demands an answer from god and gets it! and just like the answer makes sense to Job it does to Tillerson!
@@christianpetersen1049 Ohhhh Thank you!
Maybe there destined to use the hole that's why they hear it.
So whats up with the one Abbott brothers girlfriend stealing money at the bank...what comes of that?
Nothing. Series cancelled July 3rd.
University of Montana not Wyoming
A good show, but with too many loose ends and plot deviations. Totally okay with ambiguous ends but I feel like they left too many questions unresolved. The ending just felt unsatisfying. Also Rhett and Maria were totally irrelevant this season, they contributed nothing to the plot.
13:19 how incredible arrogant, to assume something you have no idea, as if it was true.
for the rest was a good video.
Poots
I’m still confused 🤣
too bad if you like anything new nowadays because they've canceled this also
I'm just not sure I can follow this show.
There are more details like that with the clothing, etc. I think is the timelines blending together.
I did not see religion in this show at all..
Canceled
I'm really annoyed with the writers for the script they gave joy. Her whole character is annoying and weird. And her wife always has the same face. i just think they didnt give the native american representation any justice.
This show really holds a TON of white guilt.
absolute 100% solid ****ing crime to dump all the episodes at once. this would have been great like constellation, to chew on every single week. i cannot stress enough a show like this should not be released all at once. if you love binging. you simply wait for the season to finish. so cultured people can analyze each episode like a slice of pie. you are not supposed to eat the whole pie every time you buy a pie.
Prime video has been BAD about this. This season would have benefited from weekly discussion, and the same with Fallout a couple of months ago
I wonder how they chose which shows to release weekly.
Then watch one a week that's a you problem 😂 or do u not have the self control lol
They didn't do with wheel of time or invincible but they drop the most complicated plot line all at once
Then don’t binge watch it lol
This show sucks so bad I can’t wait till season 3 comes out.
This season was a turd, no focus on the actual main story rather just veering off into other useless plots like a pothead out on an adventure. Hope they don’t release another season and let die down.
This show is a mess of nonsense.
Loved both series but if 'God' is in on this I'm out because all reasonables know god is BS.
I can't think of how this series could have a season 3 worthy of the first two. But I'm confused as to why Maria stole money from the bank.
