I love how Hades's concern wasn't with how Zagreus and Persephone would set up the gathering or make sure everyone was prepared, but rather with how much damage Dionysus could do
Now I want to see that cutscene where Dionysus merrily wrecks havoc in the whole palace, with Zagreus's neck firmly under his armpit and a full bottle of Ambrosia in the other hand, and with Artemis awkwardly fangirling in front of Achilles, with Aphrodite being her winggirl. Oh, and with Ares flirting with Nyx, and Poseidon being the awkward boisterous noisy drunk middle brother/uncle nobody wants to listen to ^^.
Guess he can’t trust his son’s reincarnation. (It literally is from Zagreus’s tale, where Zeus/Hades are essentially one in the same/used as if the same)
"I get the feeling uncle Zeus acts a bit impulsively at times, and deals with the consequences later" *Looks at the whole of Greek mythology* NAH ! Just because he made enough children to create a small town of demigods, it doesn't mean....never mind, he is a hard contender with Ephimeteus for the title of deity of impulsiveness.
I do find it funny that the game has it so Zeus didn't actually father half of the children that we attribute to him. According to Poseidon, Zeus just likes claiming heroes as his children to make himself look better, meanwhile someone kept spreading a rumor that Theseus was Poseidon's son. It's little dialogs like this that really makes Hades seem like its own story
1:53 so the Icons release a little rainbow then they appear, which is really symbolic, cause Iris the godess of rainbows, is a messenger for the gods to mortals, and a sorta link between them and humanity. So having the icons that show up give off a rainbow is weirdly appropriate. when the icons are use to represent the gods reaching the underworld and forging a more human connection through persephone and Hade's invitation message and story
@@rubberman302 Hades has sold more than all of their other games combined and then some. Supergiant has become widely known and lauded because of Hades. They had a good reputation before, but not the huge sales of Hades.
Hestia is usually depicted as the oldest child and daughter of Cronus and Rhea (she and some of the others are the children of other Titans in these games, though. Presumably to avoid the whole brother-hooking-up-with-sister stuff). Hades, likewise, is usually depicted as their eldest son. Zeus is technically the youngest son and child of Cronus and Rhea on account of being born last. It was he who was spared being eaten by his father when Rhea switched him out with a stone duplicate. Zeus may have been youngest, but he was made the king of the Olympians by his siblings on account of him being the one to free his siblings from Cronus' gut, released the Hecatoncheires and Cyclopes from Tartarus, _and_ led the successful charge against the Titans. Also as a result, when the three brothers were drawing lots over who got ownership of what (heavens, sea, and underworld), Zeus, who drew the heavens, was additionally given domain over the earth.
Don't watch the video then. Also a dinner party is not really a spoiler the whole point of Zagreus going on this Crusade is to find his mom and he did. This isn't a spoiler. Then again you choose to watch this vid so it's your fault.

@@venusblade4ever I love that that origin story was brought up in the game as a joke.
God, the dynamic between hades and persephone is extremely wholesome.
They do seem to be the healthiest relationship in the Greek pantheon, so I’m glad they were portrayed accurately in the game!

Excellent point. Thank you for sharing! 🙂
And she is mediator of the gods too. In the actual Persephone myth Iris almost convinced Demeter to end winter.

im a little miffed that they are missing hephastus hera and most importantly apollo from this game.
With the budget that they had, it's impressive we got so many characters

I think Apollo is confirmed for the sequel.
Zeus refering to hades as Big Brother is jarring. Especially considering i would think he'd claim to be the oldest.
According to actual mythology, Zeus is the little one
Zeus is the baby brother
