Once he learns how to do the incantations he would strangle the fates for their toying in his family’s lives. He wouldn’t kill them after all they are Nyx’s kids but he would definitely be rather cross

Orpheus and Eurydice welcomed their Queen Home. As if it couldn’t be any more wholesome
She was also the one that persuaded Hades to let Orpheus get away with pulling Eurydice out of the underworld the first time around, it makes the most sense.

I just love the duality lmao. For firsy 10 runs, its like Bittersweet endings which brings lump to the throat and then there's after 10th run where Zagreus would return because he got hit with a rake to his face
Or because he slipped on a fricking Banana.
Or because he is just breathing
Or gets bit by a mosquito
or decides a bear seems perfectly cuddly
Or because he forgot to look both ways
I never realized just how alike Zagreus and Persephone look until I saw this video's thumbnail.

Friendly reminder that Cerberus roughly translates to "spotted one/spot" or "speckled". The name Cerberus is the Latinized version of Kerberos, which is the Greek word for "spotted"
Which means Hades named his dog "Spot"

@jvdjevovdhe7613 no it's, absolutely a real theory with a lot of plausibility. There are two common theories, that it was based off of "Kreoboros" (which does actually translate to "flesh devouring").
However the other is based on "Kerberos" the original Greek spelling of the name (Cerberus is actually the Romanized one) and it is believed to be based on "Karbarah" and "Sabalah", both of which mean "spotted" or "speckled."
So there is a very high chance his name *is* actually some version of "Spot". Though at the end of the day it will simply be based on what you decide is better. But both names are just as plausible.

I really like Zagreus didn't get angry at her for leaving him. He was just like "ah crap you didn't know too, huh?"
As far as I can tell, Nyx seemed to have spent a long, arduous, long, and magical process arguing with the Fates on some way to let Zagreus live.
The only conclusion they can come to, I think...
Was making Zag and Hades hate each other so much that Zag would never want to take over the Underworld and Hades would never allow Zag the opportunity. Essentially, metaphorically, forcing Zag out of the will when it comes to "inheritance."
NYX is a primordial goddess and she is powerful very powerful even Zeus is scared of her so it really would not surprise me that she believed the Fates and it really wouldn't surprise me if she's best friends with Persephone

They really went and made Persephone a spiky haired cottage tomboy didn't they? No wonder Hades fell for her.
She is long haired past the spikes, so where do you get the tomboy?
@andreasottohansen7338 Not from the hair. Short hair does not necessarily mean Tomboy. She has spiky short hair on top, sure, I just get general tomboy vibes. I think it's the "I'm quite happy chilling here, fuck the big mountain" attitude.

Not exactly, you still have some stuff to do in order to fully complete the story. Hades, Persephone and the other have much more to talk after this part and the real end.
Charon was needed for that to transpire, without him being there it was just a normal river.
Charon wouldn’t show up unless it was important since his presence would alert the gods.
the problem isnt about dying. he is cursed by the sisters of fate about birthright stuff. those who was born in the underworld shall not leave the underworld. so even if you dip yourself in river styx like Achilles did, if fate say you go the f back to the underworld, well….that will happen
To be fair, the river seems to flow into the Underworld, so it'd be a hell of a time swimming to Mom. That said, he does ask Charon to give him a lift and is refused every time.
I wonder how scarring it is for Persephone to have that stack of her sons bodies. I guess its natural fertilizer.
He gets taken by the Styx he doesnt leave a body behind
The only ending which Zagreus doesn't need to die and able to carry over all of the boons and Charon obols.

I imagine the boons disappear as soon as he feels the sunlight. But the charon coins must be taken when he enters the ship
i remember bawling my eyes out when she told zagreus to never come visit her again. it just hurt so much to think that there was even a chance that everyone would just accept their unhappiness to keep to the status quo. one of my favorite games, easily

He throws himself into the fray again & again just to bring his mother back and repair his family. Never have I respected Zagreus more after that meeting.
@@CamperN00b47 Yeah, again and again, I see that dialogue as an exhort to the player to fix issues that are meant to be solved. Even in his adulthood
@@CamperN00b47 Like his mother was giving him the most valid reasons to not go back home and then he just goes down and stutters, trying to repair everything, and you can see it from the tone of his voice
I watch this and also another vid of Achilles storyline with his boo whenever I need a pick me up. I love this game.

To be honest… the … art of how Persephone looked when she was happy… looks kinda creepy to me… I’m sure it was not the original intention.

I think her portrait looks off because it's trying to show so many emotions at once: she's overjoyed to see Zagreus, but her memories from the Underworld are still painful. Then there's the sorrow that no sooner than he arrived, he must return to the Underworld
I disagree though. I found it very wholesome and sentimental. I can’t imagine the feeling of your child returning back to you after thinking they were dead for so long.
@@Teowashere I agree now. After having finished one run, I found out that her feelings are genuine.
What I meant before, was the art.. I think I must have played too many “plot twist” kind of game where people show their real face, and I somehow was expecting a stab in the back kind of story this time too.

the epilogue? well it wasn't as strong as the main story for sure but I enjoyed it
No offence but if you are looking for a story in a rougelike you a playing the wrong genre that being said this does story the best out of basically any rougelike

What makes so good is the high ammount of dialogues across all the characters, + how well it represents the countless diferent myths its based upon, sure there are a lot of changes and creative freedoms which is just natural and necessary even, but its still fantastic.
