When two cars have 1000 HP at the engine and strait line racing, it mostly comes down to gearing / weight. shifting has some impact of the race.

Just ran across this vid, I like these types of races! Not to diminish your win, your car is clearly much quicker. But, that wing on the back of the Camaro (if I remember correctly) generates about 700 lbs of downforce designed specifically for road tracks. And, the Camaro driver needs a bit more practice at shifting a manual.
My 75 year old mom is driving a 2017 50th Anniversary Camero and she wants a ZL1...how awesome is that...lol
