Ducati's highly-anticipated 899 Panigale got its first international press track test at the famous Imola racetrack in Italy and MotoGeo's Jamie Robinson was there to test it.
Designed to be a way to enter the world of high performance, this 'Supermid' version of the Superbikes pays tribute to Ducati's rich racing heritage in every detail while mixing in everyday street riding usability in absolute Italian style.

Music By: Audio Network - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Motogeo's videos kick the shit out of the other moto channels these days. Informative, amazing camera quality, clear vocal sound, music only when needed and not over top of voice audio. Bravo guys....
Thanks CBRboy1717, we are trying our best! :)
Now if only the actual CONTENT were worth watching... this guy is way too un-critical of the bikes he reviews, I rarely see him critisize ANYTHING. Most other reviews noted the weak low and mid range torque, the absence of a proper slipper clutch, the weight gain over the 1199, the fiddly menu system, etc. His reviews are nice to look at but ultimately a waste of time as they're not a reliable source for buying advice.
Then make your own. You sound like you have the insight to produce a better product. Let's see it, man.
This Channel sold this bike to me
5:50 - Senna shot, impeccable.
Superb video. The only video to explain the bike in detail and in easy to understand format. New follower right here!
I watched couple of reviews of this bike in a row and your one is by far the best. Thanks !
Thanks for a great review. You actually covered the information really well followed up by some great shots. Best review I've watched to date.
The best review from the launch by a mile and your videos keep on getting better. Keep up the good work.
Your reviews just keep getting better!
Great job, you didn't complain about the rain and provided great info. Other moto reviewers could learn a lot from this.
Great review, Jamie. Cannot believe how fast you're going in the rain on that thing.
best vedio of 899panigale.love that bike looks so amazing.
Awesome review. One will have to find a way in to my "garraage" in the next couple years. Can't wait for you next adventure.
Another great review video ! this is what moto geo is about
great review, subscribed
This is the best 899 review I've watched around is all I can say... kudos
Superb review and superb motorbike, thanks.
as usual best reviews on youtube.
As always great review. High production value. Well done. Need I ask what color would u get?
Haha I love this guys ending statement, how sincere :D
Look at the tread on those tires! Geeze, what a nice bike...
Good stuff Jamie!
Love it..besides the dual swing arm....
Great video as always guys! Maybe a road trip is in order with the bike next time, in the dry that is :D
nuff said .. I'm ditching my little monster 696 and getting this little beast !!
Beautiful bike
i saw a dozen of other videos from this press day, thank you Jamie for giving clear and fluid informations. Nice video and sound too.
I tried the 1199 some time ago, i ended up with unwanted wheelies and having a hard time passing through cities with speed limit and finding the good rpm...my question is : will the 899 be more enjoyable on the road (the 1199 is but she would still cries for race track) ?
Did it seem as hot under the seat as the 1199? Awesome review as always.
great review! I just want to know, how tall are you?
Well done Jamie! Big fan of your channel and adventures! How do you think this bike would be for an everyday commuting/light touring bike? Is it too track focused? Also, buying a Ducati is one thing, and maintaining one is different. (so i've heard) How do you think the maintenance would be on the 899? I've always owned a Japanese bike, so I don't know. Cheers!
Excellent review but I’m biased because I own a 13 848EVO 🤣👌 thanks for another excellent video review
Love your videos specially the touring ones, how about riding the new BMW 1200 gas or kawasaki z1000sx
an amazing machine
there nothing i dont like about this bike it fucking beautiful
ah so this is why there are no new rideapart videos
I bought a White one, looks really good. I had a Red 996 but this one is much nicer
Damn, never realized how nice the white one is
is the headlights any different from the 1199 s ?
Motogeo, how tall are you?
I had an R6 before and could barely touch the ground (1.76m)
Love the 899 and great Review.
Im 1,70 cm
and been riding on
My new Yamaha R6
since 3 months lowered it only 2,5 cm and I tip toe it without any trouble
So this is a great murturcycle, even if ridden in wet murd on the rurd.
that's one awesome bike.
Ryan nevers, i was a huge fan of the 07 R1 but the new R1 is huge and needs a referral to jenny craig.
you're awesome, your channel is awesome as well. But please tell the camera man to rais up the gain in the mic, your voice is a bit low :)
i would like to know where you got your suit from
How does the 899 compare to the MV Agusta F3 800?
No gas gauge on the screen??
Not framless, but yes, same as the 1199, using the Superquadro engine as a stressed member of the chassis
Really stocked about ducati now especially because vag Audi owns them, that means great build quality and reliability added to stunning beauty.
what song is in the video? anyone?
GREAT ITALY!
Is anyone else curious to know what tires those are because I would love to know what Tyre brand they are because they must be quality tires by the looks of it?
I believe they are Pirelli Diablo rain tyres.
Did they fix the heating issues coming through the seat?
Brace yourself. Winter is coming.
Hmmmm...some manufactures are removing the ABS...why this one has it? What advantage does this provide in non-wet conditions ? and what are the cons?
Personal preference, I hate ABS, some people like it, it's really good if you tend to panic. Perhaps Ducati realises that most of the owners have more money than common sense, therefore they are more likely to panic brake. In this situation ABS will keep the bike from going over or locking up and skidding down an embankment
Motorcycle ABS is compulsory from 2016 in the EU
Does it get hot??
Does anybody know what tires they mounted on that ducati 899 , These arent stock ones
Pirelli Diablo Rain tyres.
thanks
Starrider 1900...you need to do some research! Aprilia has 4wsbk championships. If you add the 150cc 250cc or whatever cc racing, im sure Aprilia has 54 championships.
I have a question for anyone with REAL motorcycle experience. How come so many people dislike ABS on bikes? It seems more and more companies are making bikes with it as an option. It's my understanding that the ABS won't kick in unless you jam hard on the brakes. If we all know how to brake properly, we won't even know the bike has ABS, correct? Somebody please fill me in on why so many people hate it. I'm currently shopping for a bike, and nobody can give me a solid reason on why it's a bad option to have. Thanks in advance!
I would choose to have it - you're ideally supposed to brake as though it isn't there, so it can act as more of a safety net rather than something you always rely on. If you're doing any kind of off roading though the bike will stop better without it. Not sure why some people hate it - perhaps because you won't develop the ability to control a skid. Or perhaps because people put their faith in it and it can malfunction.
a friend of mine is dead set against ABS, for the exact same reason you mention, to have the ability for a controlled skid. I just bought a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja zx6r 636 w/ ABS. I figure it's a good option to have as well. Thanks for your input. Ride safe bro!
KrazyFace Oooh very very nice - I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with that!! I think the skid control is a decent point - but you can also keep an eye on what conditions trigger the ABS light, and hence become more finely attuned with how to 'prevent' a skid - which you might argue is an equally important skill! Not forgetting there's usually some method to deactivate it if you decide to ride without. I think you made a good choice anyway, happy new year!
Happy New Year to you as well bro! Ride safe and thanks for your input!!
Why did you put a double sided swingarm on it? Why!? Damn it...
AND a wet clutch!!! :-/ hrrmmm some technology get better and some doesn't!
有字幕,好活
How bizarre that the white model is more expensive, yet second hand I bet the red ones will hold there value better.
Graham Smith Not sure about that - in the daylight the white looks simply stunning. I'd certainly rather have a white one and so nearly pulled the trigger on getting one last year.
Yes,its a thing of beauty in any colour, just thought that it would be same price regardless of colour and everybody thinks Ducati=Bright red.
These are not standart tyres, What tyres did u use?
Pirelli Diablo Rain was used on the launch bikes at Imola.
my dream bike hope gave me one motogeo hoping you read my coments.also the ducati compony.
Sick Bike, wish I could pick one up but I'll likely kill myself on it !
What song is that at the beginning and ending of the video ???
same price as an s1000 lmao. way to go
Subtitulos en español!
Wasted that it doesn't have a single sided swingarm, ohlins suspension. Perhaps they should have a S model which have all the nice presents :)
yeah i wish they had gone all out to get all the bollocks for an 899 ohlins sus more racey brembos better screen etc
Really think that if there is a 2016 version, they should add a S mode, with all that kind of stuff, would be pretty cool. Oh and s fucking coloured dash.
I want that technology in an 848 Corse SE. dual swing arms? boo!
this is like 5th review i am watching and in all of them its raining.....hmmm
Really Ducati, Indicator Mirrors...
yea man it could be in black
Those zany Italians. Calling a bike 899 when it’s only 898.
why the hell is it always racing on these European track reviews?!?!?!?!
No single sided swing arm? Hulk's sad...
make a road trip with it :D
Sorry but Aprilia only has 4 championships in WSBK since they debuted in 88.
Mmm. I wonder why my Aprilla says 54 World Championships on the fuel tank.
***** wow I guess the amg badge on my g63 doesn't mean shit as well I'm going to have to check into some legal recourse
This bike looks and sounds mean!
สวยชิบหาย
omg stop all this arguing! Its a fucking great bike. I've heard on the track you got to shift like mad constantly but its still just a middleweight dream of a bike. More than fast enough and bloody gorgeous. I test drove one last week and now my 748 looks like a washed up euro trash slut compared to this Italian super model lol She will be mine, oh yes she will be mine.
Probably, not!
Lord Trump...17 wsbk titles for Ducati! How many for trumps? Enough said!!!! Ive had sushis, yamis, and started off with a honda. My respect for my honda 600 it was a great bike. Now i have an 1199, and no bike has compared to this beast. Ive yet to see anyone ride a trump here in LA unless its a cruiser.
Aprilia 54 world championships.
8 DTC LEVELS, les français comprendront ...
I don't like the white. It doesn't look like a nice white like other bikes like Ninjas it just looks like a bike that someone forgot to paint
its a pearlescent white though... Yes from far they do look dull, but when near its flashy white.
Love the video’s! If you want more Panigale content I upload new Panigale video’s three times a week!
why in hell is that beautiful piece of art V-TWIN???? thats the only negative aspect of the bike. ducati should upgrade to inline.
Why would Ducati, a company whose history is inextricably linked to 90-degree v-twin engines, downgrade to an inline-four car engine?
go ask the company that stupid question. i stated my opinion . either agree or shut up .
There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers, and yours is one of them. Also very rude.
what an idiot .
As always great review. High production value. Well done. Need I ask what color would u get?
