Stoner crashing and still managing to finish 2nd shows how high level both riders were at that year. Fantastic battle.
Ya, jarak dengan pembalap lain sangat jauh, krn rossi dan stoner bersaing ketat mengeluarkn seluruh kemampuanya untuk jadi juara....
they had 21 second from 3rd biker
Trik jitu sedikit mengerem😂
Using Bridgestone tires both of them had a massive advantage towards the other riders that used Michelin tires. Due to Stoner winning his 2007 title with Bridgestone tires, Rossi also wanted Bridgestone tires for the 2008 season. Rossi had threatened to leave MotoGP, applying a massive pressure to Dorna-boss Ezepeleta and Bridgestone.
Pedrosa and Lorenzo had to use inferior Michelin tires, they were massively handicapped. That is no down-playing of Rossi's and Stoner's exceptional talent but it's a fact.
Piloti così non c'è ne sono più era una cosa incredibile Valentino rossi ❤

We were both big Rossi fans, actually everyone in that bar was ( We are Italians) but when Stoner went in the gravel everyone got mad and I couldn't understand why. The battle between Rossi and Stoner was so good no one wanted it to end.

I remember this so well...the Golden Age of MotoGP...I was on my feet watching this unable to sit down...a really great race. Casey's comments at the end suggesting that the passing was too wild suggests he was taken well out of his comfort zone. Rossi showed no fear, and total commitment, and that is why people all over the planet followed him and wanted him to win. Stoner was so fast that year but he perhaps needed to man up a bit...he looks like a teenager in the interview....but it was the greatest era of motorcycle racing...Valentino Rossi is still the greatest.
I think its a race that more or less kinda rattled Casey as he was definitely raced out of his comfort zone. Vale’s overtaking moves granted may look “a little too much” but the man was very much raced all of his ability to take the race to Stoner given how incredibly fast Stoner is.
If someone runs you off the road is that showing no fear or stupidity or nastiness?

motorcycle racing is so exciting! I don't understand how how nascar has dominated the American psyche into thinking that IT is the pinnacle of motor sports. Ameture road racing and flat track is thrilling to watch. The prize is a plastic trophy and those racers are out there risking life and limb for victory
@Nnaemeka Omeruo i watch MotoGP and F1 and the MotoGP is much more interesting nowadaya
@Nnaemeka Omeruo It is, but the racing is so different that comparing the two doesn't really make much sense. Bikes don't require as much downforce and thus can follow much closer and have crazy battles whereas F1 has a lot more outside factors. That said, if you're looking for exciting open wheel racing I'd check out Indycar.

if they swapped bikes, Stoner was winning by a mile!!!
Rossi is now and was then a soak now he cries about MM93.
Rossi migliore pilota di sempre tutti gli altri comparse.
Beating a so talented rival like Stoner is what makes you King. Rossi is one of a kind. The man was born to ride
You should remember how many times stoner defeated Rossi .....
another talented rider passed him in same corner few years later
Rossi ran off the track (took a shortcut) to overtake him, which he did several times in several races, to win. Anyone else would have been black-flagged, today riders are given a 'long lap penalty'. Rossi got away with an awful lot because he was good theatre for the sport, much to the distaste of the other riders. On retirement one of Stoner's comments was 'l don't carry the right passport'.
@@coolhand1964 100% agree rossi is one of the dirtiest racers ive seen in motogp everyone remembers when he kicked marquez off his bike dirty move
@@envyluciid7055 except he never did, by now it's a known fact that he didn't kick him, he just spread the leg because Marquez was laying on Rossi's leg with his bike.
Valentino Rossi literally is the G.O.A.T of MotoGP!
Casey is a one hell of a rider. Sad that he retired so young
Casey Stoner retired because He couldn't handle the stress. He won a championship then he got beat by Rossi, then he got beat by Rossi again. then he got beaten by Lorenzo Pedrosa & Rossi. then he won a championship when Rossi made that disastrous switch to Ducati and never won another one. Casey Stoner did not a championship at the 125cc level or the 250cc level. he won two championships. That's it. When he first moved from the 25cc to the 250cc class he did so badly they sent him back to 125cc for 2 more years. In 12 years at the world championship level, he won Twice. That's not legendary that's nothing more than noteworthy. 33 riders won more championships than Casey stoner. he knew he would struggle to ever win the championship. And if he didn't think you could win he didn't want to race. Completely unprofessional. Take the lows along the highs like a true champion and a true professional like Valentino Rossi. He tried to make a comeback in 2015 racing at the Suzuka 8-hour race. He crashed out with a stuck throttle and never raced again. he lost his nerve. I don't know what he Does now other than being a semi-professional cheap shot artist.
@@jackhammer5468 Stoner retired because he suffers from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. A medical issue.
@@jackhammer5468 I'm Italian and a huge Rossi fan. But in my opinion Stoner those years proved to be the most talented rider in history, he used to win every race with a 20'' gap, unfortunately he felt too many times and had physical problems. Otherwise he would have won many races more
@Nic B Nick, Jack got a point. Stoner himself admitted that he just couldnt handle the stress. Stoner, only 35, is out of shape. He is not even an athlete anymore. Too much painful issues with him. Stoner just lost his passion and vision for racing. He can't be as Rossi still is (Rossi is much older than him). The MotoGP consider him to recall him back but they never did even stoner was open for this option. He is out. Gone for good.
