Great video, but man the lack of research. Lol First came the 1199 in 2013, then the 899 in 2014. The 899 is a detuned version of the 1199, with about roughly 50 less horsepower (899's at 148hp) and generally more road worthy. The 959 replaced the 899 and the 1299 replaced the 1199. The 899 and 959 both are the only panigales to not feature a single-sided swingarm like their bigger brothers. The V4 is its own thing, and Ducati says that the V4 is going to pick up where the Panigale line left off from here on out. The 1299 is the last of the panigales to have the iconic twin cylinder race engine. The V4 is going to be the first Panigale to utilize the Desmosedichi V4 motor and the 1103cc version puts out about 210 to 215 HP at the wheel. race mode is Ducati's highest power mode
Proud owner of 2015 Ducati 899 panigale. This bike is beautiful and amazing. I feel like a million dollars everytime I ride. The service intervals are comparable to the japanese bikes now. Basically do your oil change and clean your chain then major Maintenace if not mistaken at 7500 and at 15000. I love it . The sound on TH-cam videos don't do the engine justice. It sounds amazing. It's got such a deep sound to it and sounds so different compared to the rest of the sport bikes. It does get hot but you gotta pay to at. You can get extra heat shield kit for the bike which I heard works pretty well, but it runs hot. Feels the best going fast but manageable for traffic and city. If you got questions ask.
Mario Pastor thanks man! I gotta agreed, I felt like a rock star riding around on it. Didn't care if anyone else noticed, just felt like an absolute boss. AND THE SOUND. Man, you're not kidding about videos not doing it justice. It was incredible. Personally, I wouldn't see the need for an aftermarket exhaust. Also, it was way more comfortable than I thought it would be. It was certainly more comfortable than the R6 I rode a little while back. And I'm glad to hear the maintenance intervals aren't too bad. I know Ducatis generally have a reputation (online anyway) for have shorter intervals. Thanks so much for the info!
Just bought a 2014 panigale 899. It’s my first bike. I’m in love with this bike it’s made to take care of the rider and the bike. Ebc. Engine braking control. Only had it for a month.
I just recently had my first cold day on my new 959 and the heat felt good on my ass. I do notice it on hot days but it hasn't bothered me. My old daytona used to roast my ankles when I wore short socks.
I've been riding my yamaha R6 2009 for almost 5 years now. I'm ready for an upgrade. don't know if i should go with this 899 panigale or a new model R6. i don't know if i can handle Ducati but this 899 is my dream bike since 2015.
Serious question…I grew up watching my dad riding every Ducati u can imagine from monster to the superleggera and now that live in Florida I really want to get an 899 but have never owned a bike, is that dumb? It’s either that or an 821
Superboy Prime Ahhhhhhh gotcha. That's pretty cool. If I had more time with it, I would've loved to play around with the settings and see what I could do with them. That's awesome, thanks for letting me know!
Comparing a gold Wing to this... He is unreal, stock exhausts are quiet... Try a 900ss bevel for noise....or full race termi.. Dear me I've just wasted 5mins in disbelief.. Never mind the God shite at the start😇😂😂😂
Ya this bike me the chills every time I get on it. No matter for a short ride to the store or a long one the bike is amazing and I jumped up from a ninja 30. But I had a problem and I don’t know how to fix it. Everything I drive now my engine cuts off and there’s no engine response, so I turn it off and it’ll repeat it in that cycle. Someone help?
Patrick Bostwick 44teeth did a ride review on this bike. They rode this bike in the track and off the track, in tracksuits. They liked the bike and guess what they complained about? The heat. Your comment just tells me that you have never rode the bike in your life.
I appreciate the bike review, I understand the excitement but dude please... WTF is this movie title "Watch this before you buy..."? I haven't heard a _SINGLE_ advice before buying this bike. We all know it has nice looks, nice sound and a hot seat. Really a shitty buyers guide. I didn't like it so much that I shall leave a dislike which I don't think I've ever done on YT.

Caleb this comment was more informative than the entire video

Coming from a GSXR 600. Would this be manageable at least in “Wet” mode while I get used to it?
The heat is coming from the exhaust or the acutal engine? I want kids man!!!
@@edwardlouiscruz yes, i've never ridden a 600 but wet mode is totally manageable
@@solivefree i think it's coming from the top cylinder; you sit right on top of it

there is one big problem with this bike. you can not leave it anywhere and go shopping... mines always is eyeshot distance.
Its just a bike. Imagine you own a pagani.
@@Dranreb865 you're clearly not a bike guy. I would care about my Ducati more than the pagani. Who cares about the pagani!?
Bernard Bernabe well i was like this with my first bike but now im ok my second one and I almost don‘t care 😂 i mean it‘s insured what should happen?
@@zorro-games3523 You lose that big deductible that they no doubt put on your bike.
Agreed
You should have to know how to spell Panigale before you can ride one.
it's a joke penni = expensive
Are you going to open it up or what??

Asher doesn’t know how to redline/“Bang” through the gears like Shaun but it’s ok, we still like you...
tommyboy790 Haha thanks man! I'll get better as time goes on 😁

Im an owner of panigale 899...a baby panigale but its strike out when needed....yeah...
You do realize the upshift ..you don't need the clutch or need to decelerate...just bang it in gear keeping the throttle open
Oh, by the way, EBC basically controls engine braking

@@Williamvencil haha, yeah, it's pretty interesting. No problem though :)
How would this compare to a daytona 675r?
Wayyyy faster
EBC means engine breaking control 👌🏼
Wheelie control?
I ride a 899 and man that mud ride ride in race mode and hear see feel the powa baby
Dude knows nothing about this bike. Why make a video without doing basic research. Not even using the qs

BrosGarage even the name of bike is wrong, “ Penigalle”
Please change title to Panigale.

Thats part of ducati's CHARM 😆
Ok you already spelled it wrong but before I insult you I m gonna watch the video
Hey how tall are you?
I’m buying one that got impounded for cheap love it
How’d you fix the heat issue?
Can’t gotta live with it
Considering this bike currently, so kinda funny you upload this haha
wtf can people not say that it comes heat from the engine on the 899... its NOT a problem
11:32 😂you hit a monster bug !
Pretty ominous title for a video about a guy riding a bike for the first time and all he knows is that Dovi rides it.. smh
As much as I would have liked this bike, its too loud. 108db is just too much for my ears its insane.
Seems very slow, was this slower than the r6?
EBC- Electronic Brake Control
"Pennigale"
The heat is a common complaint on all Penigale.
I ride this bike with my suit and i feel no heat. Its the squids that get toasted.
Patrick Bostwick you wear a suit every where you go? You are my hero.

Looking at a used 899 for my first bike. Would you recommend it or not?
Go for it! Some even went for a busa after a few hours of practicing how to shift.
make sure you got close to 1/3 of the bike's OTD price ready to go if you end up dropping/lowsiding the bike just to replace the fairings 🤣
🤦🏻♂️
I was gonna do same but gonna learn on and own a bonneville first.
Can't really take anything you say seriously when you can't even spell the name of the bike you're reviewing properly :)
WTF is a Pennigale?

Lets do a pull from 6th gear? Sorry but that doesn't tell you or anybody anything.
Ah well, we all do silly things when we get excited :)
Thanks for another great video review
EBC engine/break/controle
looks great ,but sounds horrible
6 gear on highest rpms lol

Love how you opened with a Psalm
