This California Zephyr #5 arrived in Fort Morgan at 0703 MST (1 hr. & 20 min. late). The 8-car train did a single spot - two car station stop with 2 passengers stepping from sleeper car #3 while 5 new fares boarded coach car #7. There was a puppy potty break from car 7 while the new patrons boarded.
The power for today's Zephyr were leading P42 #50 and P42 #168 trailing in the 3rd spot. ALC42#341 was in the 2nd spot unpowered.
With the station work safely completed and the puppy with owner aboard the high ball was given and on a clear signal the Zephyr rolled west toward Union Station in Denver.
