This California Zephyr #5 arrived in Fort Morgan at 0547 MST (2 min. off). Ric had P42s #180 and #179 powering the8-car train to a stop with car 7 to the station platform for 1 detraining passenger and 1 new patron. There was a conversation between the conductor and a wannabe without a ticket to ride.
With the station work safely completed, the high ball was given and on a clear signal, Ric ramped up the amps to the traction motors moving the train west toward Denver's Union Station.
