When I was pregnant I kept on watching this kind of video at office on Monday morning. Every single week I never missed any videos of her updates. Now she just turned 2months old and I finally can watch it again since last 2 months I couldn’t really watch anything in order to adjust with my new life. I never thought I’d get so emotional and even cried when I watched it again. Baby is no longer inside my tummy yet it feels just yesterday I was excited to watch the videos.. time is a thief 😢

To all the parents saying "my kid laughed/smiled before two months", those are reflex smiles not social smiles like the lady said. The difference is that reflex smiles aren't intentional, the baby is just experimenting with new facial expressions, its the reason you might see them smirk in their sleep and then immediately switch to a frown. Social smiles on the other hand are intentional, you're baby understands your expression and wants to respond back.
When I talk to my baby who is a month and some days old he actually smile And no it's not a reflex. Because he opens his mouth like he laughing when we play with him Every baby millstone is different

Its only a reflex smile if they are asleep. My 1 month old smiled at me wide awake and now she is coping and laughing out loud grabbing toys and bringing them to her mouth. Don't believe me about cooing I have video proof and can get proof of the toy thing too.
I know! I actually started just sobbing the moment she smiled at me for the first time. I had just had an argument with my mother and was already upset but when she smiled at me, I just felt a wave of instant warmth and it made me feel so much better I started crying, so I picked her up and just hugged her while I cried. It was amazing!
This happened for us this morning while I changed her diaper. I almost started crying. She was smiling with her mouth wide open. I'm so happy and proud.🥰
My baby smiled when he was a month old. It was on my baby talk to him. He never stopped smiling after that. He was also lifting his head from his birth. I am thinking possibly because he was last 3 months in the womb turned on his head. My baby grew 9 cm in first 6 weeks and gained 1.5kg. He started with his baby voices when he was 3 weeks old. I am not using a pacifier and I am constantly engaging with him. He was born in his 42 week. I am so happy he is doing really well

Social smile is different from baby smiling in sleep or after passing gas. It's called gassy smile. Social smile is when they smile in response to your smile... Iam surprised and happy if your baby is doing a social smile already,enjoy it

And at one week old he decided he was going to start seeing how many fingers he could fit in his mouth LOL he's two and a half months old now and we call him baby hulk we did not think that after he was born at 36 weeks he should automatically be able to hold his head up but our son somehow manages to be stronger than both me and his father while dressing him

Someone told me my baby senses my anxiety when I dress her. I didn't want to be rude bc I dont have some nervous energy about it. Considering how many times I hafta do this. By myself. But it's more like I just dont want her tiny everything's bending back. It happens.. & I doubt she senses my anxiety. For other stuff yeah. But I'd think she senses more of if I accidently hurt her, I didn't mean to & she knows. & who I don't like. Plus, she's confident enough to let her personality shine. She's a feisty one. She just kicks & slaps away sometimes. Also, I really hate pulling things over her head.

My baby started cooing from one month 2 weeks .But the cooing has increased now that she is two,almost giggling. She started her social smile within one month two weeks as well. She reminds to my conversation with cooing now that she is two months regularly. I am going to add the mirror to our play.Thanks a bunch.

@@fxg7942 I've learned to put them down on thier backs first and play for alil then ill roll him over and he's gotten so use to that way it works everytime now ! He's 4 months on the 20th and is doing so much better!

Missed 2 weeks of tummy time because my baby has bad reflux and would just puke up every time I tried, and before that I forgot all about tummy time. You should smile at yourself...this video was designed to trigger its viewer’s worries. Make people worry about your child’s development. The small stuff is right on pace with the expectation chart. The big parenting scenarios are extremely exceeded the chart.

It's impossible to have a social smile by then. Gassy smiles or involuntary smiles are not the same. Their brains and nerves aren't developed enough for social smiles. They also can't see a darn thing cleary for nearly 2 months.
