I have used evapo rust in the past for rust removal. Soak a rag/paper towel with it and leave over areas over night.

That’s a sweet boat to remove rust coke classic works good and a brush coke is a anti-oxidant dissolves nails

At least you got one with no mechanical issues, everything else is just cosmetic.

The padding on that engine cover is also there to keep heat transfer down into that compartment. id check it after a long run and make sure its not overly hot.
Nice purchase! been wanting one of these for a couple years now myself.

Looks great without the graphics down the side but it would be a great place to put your Boosted Motorsports logo!

That's an awesome idea! I'm kicking myself, for not thinking of it first! Great suggestion!!!

Maybe try some "Soft Scrub"? It's an effective kitchen / bathroom cleaner.

I'd throw a coat of high quality primer on the engine bay cover and then use some of the self adhesive heat shield panels to make the engine bay really pop.

I use toilet cleaning. Like the cheap blue toilet cleaner. It takes stains off of fiberglass boats really well.

I picked up a seadoo gtx that was silver and blue. When I got it, it was so badly oxidized, rubbing compound and wax didn't do much. I wet sanded with 1500 grit then up to 2000 grit followed with turtle wax paste and finished with meguiars marine wax. The silver which looked like gray primer at first now sparkles and is glossy smooth. I was thinking a drill brush and wax might get at the non slip areas that have stains. Couldn't hurt any.

You need a smaller polisher it would be faster with those lines

  • @derickhorne713

Why don’t you get under that cover and inside sprayed with Lizardskin. That would soundproof and heat proof it. Plus it will never fall apart. It will outlast the whole thing! Also ceramic coat the whole thing and it will be fully protected.

John I’m wondering if the carbon on the dash is the kind were they dip it into a vat and the design gets on whatever their dipping???? I’m sure you’ll bring it back to it’s former glory and I can’t wait to see the finished product!!! Even better can’t wait to see you using it and having fun on it!!!!!

You didn't show us anything of value. Why not talk about the cutting/polishing/wax ... materials, tools, etc. instead of just "what do you think guys?"
