I just bought this exact boat and can’t figure the engine door latching to fix it. Also have some cut wires in the front driver compartment. Radio is missing and trying to figure that out. I wish you were local or I could come to you to figure this out since you’re an awesome trouble shooter. Awesome vids on the SeaDoo Sportster/Speedster
Hey bud. I got a similar boat. But I’m having a couple of issues when I start my boat, it starts for three seconds and then it shuts off completely it does this periodically any idea what could it be?
Just had to change the brown solenoid on my 2007 GTI 130. It just got progressively harder to start each year until this year it wouldn't crank at all, even when boosted. A quick google search pointed me to the old style brown solenoid. newer style ones are black
if you attach the beeper again you can enter advanced diagnostic mode. Basically the machine tells you what’s wrong. I believe on older model sea doos it’s 5 presses on the starter button and then you put the key on and it beeps a certain pattern. Based on what it beeps, it tells you where the machine is failing. I.e battery’s dead, bad mpem, bad ground etc….
Good Stuff. Appreciate the reality vs fake vids. I had a feeling the Maiden voyage may not go so well. It is always something. And expect the unexpected with boating. Especially with the weird beeping and disabling it. You may want to hang on to that Mpem And rip it around before you return it to make sure everything's all good. My similar boat has been honestly awesome and reliable for many years, and now it's starting to act up. Revs only to 5800 RPM....suspecting dirty fuel issues....

Lol , but goad you got it figured out .. an geeze twice the price for a part , hopefully you can recoup your money back 👍 that bird at the beach really wanted what you were eating haha lol ! So hopefully next water run goes better , i saw one today down at the water here at my place an it actually goes really good as there were three guys in it an never missed a beat !! Mine turned out to be the "MPEM CDI". It would start when it wanted to. It's not the module you purchased but another one which was contained inside the box which contains the coil, rectifier and other things. it's a black rectangular box with a bunch of wires hanging out of it.
Good to know! Mine ended up being some water/corrosion on the MPEM fuse box under the dash. Cleaned the pins and put dielectric grease and now its back to its normal self

Moral of the story: when things are beeping at you like crazy(screaming like a chicken).. dont disable the beeper 😜🤪😝
