    Having worked with plastic before myself to attempt something similar (and having less than stellar results) that turned out amazing! You would never know that's been repaired to the extent it had a whole chunk missing!!

    It looks fantastic! Great job. I would like to see a couple of minutes of real time repair before the sped up parts. That plastic welding is wild and I’ve never seen It done before.

    The speed problem could be the impeller and wear ring are shot. 800 hrs you want to go through the entire ski from stem to stern.
    Awesome project, I’m envious. These sort of skis never make their way to MA.

    Zach your correct in that rental companies use the "learning key" for most rentals. Easy way to tell if it is a leaning key is to put it back in the water, and check how high your rpms are. The ecu restricts how high it can go to keep power down. Same way seadoo sparks are all the same horsepower just tuned different. Also, if you get a candoopro, it can code and program keys as well as diagnostics for under $500 for 5 different skis.

    Wow, how inspiring 😁 I have a 2004 old school two stroker that was stolen from me ans recovered 8 years later. Needs engine out, I started and got 2/3 the way there then gave up. Haven't touched it in 8 years. You've encouraged me to get going again. I wonder if the Yamaha can have the top split from bottom? The fins are called sponsons 👍

    Nice work as always. I'd recommend using Marine Tex instead of bondo for watercraft applications.

    Gr8 job Zach! I used to PVC weld tanks back in the 80's and it definitely is a learned trade! You did gr8 and your glass work is awesome! It's going to look gr8 when you're completed! Looking forward to your vids!

    when doing fiberglass make sure you use a heavy 1708 or other weaved cloth for strength, chopped strand is good but not as strong as weaved

    15:19 those “reverse torx” are a real pain. I had some smaller ones holding a carb on my portable generator luckily I had some large torx screws and just bent them to make a wrench.

    I would have worn glasses while drilling and sanding, but that’s me. When you show the products you’re using, give a bit more time for those of us older people can read or at the end of the video, show all the products. I thought all boats under 20’ had to have some kind of floatation.

    Learning key: The DESS key can be reprogramed by a dealer. Bring boat (with ownership) to a Seadoo dealer
