Nice. Understand losing crojo. Mine was 6 years but i was under massive stress, sick, divorce, etc. im now back and enjoying crocheting again. Love you and your videos
I grew up in Colorado Springs. I miss those views. I learned how to crochet as a child. Then I learned to knit and have mainly done that. But recently started crocheting again. Loving your projects!
Been waiting since you announced you were working on this. Thank you for what you bring to the crochet community. Beautiful projects. Beautiful peaceful spirit.
I kept wondering when you were going to start a Chevron pattern. You are clever! You worked out that Chevron pattern with the beads. Smart, very Smart!
I like this project! I think it could make a soothing weighted-type lap blanket with textural interest for a person with dementia 🤗 They like to touch & fidget with things 🕊 Thanks, Pretty Peaceful ☮️
Omg I've missed you and so glad you're back with a new tutorial! I have literally been checking your channel every week to see if you've uploaded lol So happy to see you back ❤
I stumbled across your tutorial today and it’s wonderful. Can’t begin to tell you how much this was needed in my life today. I ordered all the beads and can’t wait to begin to find such peace and joy. Thank you
Such a great project. Its just enough of a departure from traditional crochet we all usually do & take a break from that but still be creative using yarn & a crochet hook. I could see this made a little more narrow & use for a table runner decoration & the colors could be changed out seasonally. I'm sure people in the comments will come up with many different uses. Thanks for the tutorial. It's very pretty. 💜
Welcome back! It's so nice to see you've found your crojo! What a fun project, I will definitely make this, right after I finish my third market basket. It's great to have you back!
So glad you’re back! I check for you all the time. I’ve been making a blanket with your bear tracks stitch…this one definitely on my “to do” wish list, but first-another artisan market basket🥳
Love this idea for a weighted blanket. I suspect wooden beads could be more environmentally friendly, as they are made of a renewable resource and are biodegradable. However, the wood might make the mat or blanket less easily washed.
Your video popped up in my recommended videos. I love this so much that I immediately ordered the beads from Wal-Mart. I'm sitting here with my hook and yarn waiting for them to be delivered. This looks so fun, and will be a welcome break from all the knitting I've been doing with small needles and fingering weight yarn. Thank you so much for the great pattern and tutorial!
I love this project and can’t wait to get started. You are so generous with your craft. I just looked at the pattern on Ravelry and cannot believe you offer it for free. Thank you ever so much. I love watching your videos , so calm and informative. Your work is beautiful. Thank you again and again. Julie from Indiana Xx
Thank you Julie! I crochet for joy and I love free patterns myself. I am lucky to have a great full time job teaching at a university so my crochet can be just for fun. Happy crocheting! 💗
So beautiful! Love your designs. Just got your book and made a basket, but can’t looking forward to making this mat. Love the colors. Thanks for sharing your meditations too.
@@prettypeacefulcrochet THANK YOU. I started and got my beads all mixed up. Hope I can move back to Colorado and meet you someday. You are such a sweet peaceful person to watch and I love learning from you. I made the market basket and it worked out great.
I crochet beaded bracelets with small beads and over the years I start to get neck and shoulder pain. But sometimes I sit for long periods when making them. Have you ever had neck and shoulder pain doing your crochet? Thank you for your reply. Patricia
@@patriciagimay9195 I notice shoulder pain if I am reaching across my body to pick up the bead. If the beads are right on my lap, no pain. I have seen some crocheters make a comfortable seat by putting pillows on their lap and under their elbows. I wonder if that would help.
I love this project. Would it be sturdy enough to use on front of kitchen sink? I am imagining it would feel good on tired feet. Thank you for another video and a view of your gorgeous yard!
@@Gothlite-i1l absolutely! You could just make it double wide. It would take 4 cases of beads and 3 cakes of Mandala yarn. I’m working on a wider version in a zig zag pattern now!
Hi, (Hopefully this makes since) If I use 2 hook, One to crochet with and a second to pull the yarn through the bead, could I use size 4 yarn? I have so much worsted weight yarn. Plus, unless I order it on line, I find it difficult to get thinner weight yarn. I do have Mandala yarn but I like the look of the solid color better. Thank you for any help 💜
@@jessicarabbit1164 I am not sure if that would work. You would have to test it out. A thinner 4 weight like Caron Simply Soft would probably work better than a thicker one like Red Heart Super Saver.
What fun! Question, when I clicked on your link to Amazon for the Beadery pony beads, the description said they were 6X9mm with 3.5mm hole. Your pattern says the hole should be 4 mm. Are you sure the Beadery beads are the same as you used? Or if they have a little smaller hole, would they work if we just used a smaller hook? Thanks for this lovely pattern.

So pretty, that would make a nice wall hanging or valance for window. Glad you are back. 🧶🧶🥰
I used a 4 weight for the blanket I made with glow on the dark pony beads
