Thank you SO much for this free tutorial. Your work is always beautiful and your detailed, calm tuition style will encourage new crocheters and will certainly keep me coming back and sharing with others 🙏🏾
I also want to say that I appreciate that you do tutorials I am very Visual learner and this blanket is stunning. I wanna use it and make a runner for my table. This is actually gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. Have a blessed day
One more thing, I love tutorials with patterns. That's my way of supporting you designers, so I'm gonna purchase the pattern but I also will wash the video and go along with it. Thank you again
O'wow my 1st C2C! I just love 💖your Blanket. Now if I can figure out Ravelry I will purchase your pattern. 😲Looking forward to the next steps Thank you for your video🤓
Hi Susan, I am new to your work but love where you live and just ordered your book. It arrived yesterday!! Thank you for all the background about the land, people and where you live. Shows your love and respect for the people and the land. You are in the right place, for sure! ❤❤❤ I love the blanket you are featuring today and will make it-eventually!!! It has to be interesting for me to attempt a blanket and I think this pattern might be for me! Thanks for your beautiful patterns and color sense. ❤❤❤
Sorry for so many comments but I have one more thing to say. I love the chart with the way you wrote the yardage. Great idea, thank you. I'll be using this for myself
OMG.. That blanket is beautiful. Thanks for doing a tutorial on this. Now, to figure out the colors….hmmm🤔 How big will the blanket be with worsted weight yarn?
Thank you! The worsted weight version with a 5 mm hook is about 42 inches wide and 60 inches long (107 by 153 cm), just a bit smaller than the bulky version since they both use a 5 mm hook.
Hello first and foremost, I really been enjoying your videos. You're very talented and I love your style. It's very unique and different and I like that
Thank you! 💗 It is not an easy pattern because managing all of the yarns and colors is not easy. But I have another blanket with a similar look that uses only one color at a time called the Modern Bohemian Blanket: th-cam.com/video/0mbY2CajhI8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=nS8QEV91GA6LeUiN. That one is worked in rounds.
Thank you! Part 2 has been uploading for the past 2 days. My rural internet access is rather slow especially for uploading. Hopefully it will be done tonight!
Oh, that blanket you made is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Do have a question. What is a great way to designing crochet patterns? I would like to learn how to make my own crochet patterns and having a rough time finding something to help me.
Thank you! I like to design my patterns in Microsoft Excel. I use it like graph paper to fill in squares with different colors. Then once I have the blanket looking good in Excel, I write out the row by row instructions into a Word document. My twin sister is also a crochet designer and she designs by crocheting the project first through trial and error, then writing the pattern down, then testing the written pattern.
This is gorgeous! I love the colors (and this yarn) but it looks like yarnspirations may have discontinued two of the colors of Red heart hygge- I can't find Almond or plum candy on their website. 😢 I wonder if Feather and Violet would be good substitutes?
Thanks. I have never made a blanket with cotton yarn my family is asking for one. I can't remember is peaches n cream sold at Walmart very similar to sugars n cream? Or is Sugars n cream softer? Thanks. Beautiful blanket. ❤😊
Thank you! Sugar ‘n Cream and Peaches & Creme are the same, but Sugar ‘n Cream has more colors. They both feel rough in the ball but get buttery soft after washing and using for a while.
@@prettypeacefulcrochet great to know, thank you. I haven't used them for larger projects. I used some cotton from Bernat handicrafter but it's really rough unfortunately.
Runa is the name that I Like Crochet magazine gave to this blanket when it was first published. I’m not sure why they chose it, but it goes with the other pattern names in that issue. I have not yet made a ruana but I would like to someday!
Hey Susan!! I wanted to ask you about your book. I have ordered it from “The Woolley”, but received an email notice that it’s on back order. They asked me if I wanted to keep the order not knowing how long I’d have to wait. Do you know if there are any copies some place else I can order it? I’m trying to make this blanket for my sister’s 51st anniversary to her husband, which is in mid December. Plenty of time but since I’ve never made this I don’t know how long it might take me?! Any help you can give me is much appreciated!! Have a super nice week!!🧶🤗❤️
Hallo, ich habe jetzt erst diesen Kanal entdeckt. Alles sehr sympathisch. Und was für tolle Handarbeiten. Ich bin begeistert. Leider ist mein Englisch nicht gut. Deshalb das ganze auf deutsch. Liebe Grüße.
Thank you so much for providing a visual tutorial to the pattern. This has helped me so much. Also seeing the colours on the chart. I don’t think I’m alone but sometimes patterns are hard for me to follow and visualise and your talking is great for crocheting along. Big thank you from New Zealand 🇳🇿
I am a bit confused on the yardage. I thought that if you use a thinner category weight yarn you would need more yardage per color, not less, since thinner weight and hook size makes a smaller fabric. Is the size of the blanket made with the category 4 worseted weight yarn a smaller size than the blanket shown made with the bulky weight yarn? Thanks
The border is 5 rounds of single crochet plus and optional 6th round of reverse single crochet (crab stitch). 300 yards (274 m) should be enough for both the border and tassels.
SUSAN!! I can't keep up 😂 please.. you're making me start way more wips with all these inspirational videos 😂❤
Thanks! My TH-cam channel finally started earning a bit of income and I'm saving up to take my family on vacation soon! Thanks for watching

This is so beautiful. ❤ I have to try to make this . Has anyone made this using Acrylic yarn ? That's what I normally use for my blankets
Beautiful! The colors are great.
Oh, how beautiful blanket. 👏👏👏
Oh my gosh! That is so awesome. I want to try and make this, it's gorgeous but I think it's going to be over my head.🙃

OMG 😲,🎉 yes 😍 🙌! Absolutely gorgeous. 💯
Oh my goodness!!! GORGEOUS!!!!🤩
Damn gorgeous love the colors thank for posting
I’d love to make this but I’d rather do the lightning feather poncho 1st for a gift. Thanks for sharing. I’m sorry I missed the giveaway.

Thank you! Feather and Violet would be beautiful substitutes and maybe even better!!
Hi Susan omg this is beautiful. Just a little question if I wanted to use let's say a colorama yarn in 1 color would that work?
Thanks! Yes, Colorama yarn would work and using just 1 yarn would mean a lot fewer ends to weave in!
@@prettypeacefulcrochet Thank you, you have an absolutely beautiful area thanks for sharing!

Please do you know. Runa or ruana. Or is difference between one's blanket and one's a poncho??

Can it be worked in #4 cotton please?
Yes! That is what I am using in the tutorial video, Lily Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn.
Beautiful ❤️😍

@@prettypeacefulcrochet ok thank you. That makes alot more sense to me. :) Still a very nice size.
Can you tell me how many rows there are on the border well before I buy the yarn ?
The border is 5 rounds of single crochet plus and optional 6th round of reverse single crochet (crab stitch). 300 yards (274 m) should be enough for both the border and tassels.
Stupendous!
Sooooo awesome❤
Por favor poner subtítulos en español gracias gracias 🙏
hi where did you get cone shape yarn?
At Joann craft store in Farmington, New Mexico. It’s Lily Sugar ‘n Cream cotton yarn and you can also get it at yarnspirations.com.
Ich muss mal fragen , ob da noch Videos von der Decke kommen. Ich verstehe leider kein Englisch mehr 😞
Ich lade gerade das nächste hoch! Danke 💗
How do we get part 2😮
It’s uploading right now! It’s a long video and our internet is slow way out here.
I'm a little confused. Shouldn't there be more worsted weight yarn needed than bulky? Did I hear right that yardage for bulky was more?
Yes, that is correct. The worsted weight version uses less yarn because it’s a bit smaller, about 43 by 60 inches, and they both use a 5 mm hook.
Больше перелаживаний клубов! В час по чайной ложке.
WOW!!!! 😍
