Believe it or not, there was an arcade game that also featured a boxing kangaroo as its main protagonist. Kangaroo was an arcade platformer made by Sunsoft in 1983 that played similar to Donkey Kong, in which a mother kangaroo must rescue her Joey from a troop of langur monkeys & a boxing gorilla. The game itself isn't perfect, such as the broken record sound effects, and some of the platforming is tedious, but the game is still a lot of fun to play and one of the few Donkey Kong clones to be good in my opinion. 🥊🦘
