hey mate, im really having a hard time deciding which force usa product to get, quick question, with the g10 - how good is the cable pulley system compared to the G15? i know since its plate loaded its not as good but is it still good? also how much weight would i be able to load onto said plate loaded cable system since i like to pull pretty heavy weight (i usually do 140-200lb lat pulldowns on a 1:1 ratio machine) which means id need to load 280-400lbs on the g10. Final question, would the force usa steel plates fit on the cable pulley system ?
The smoothness of the cable motion on the G10 vs the G15 is actually very similar. Maybe it's slightly smoother on the G15 but it's very hard to tell. The thing is they both use double guide rod systems, which is the best setup for smoothness. The only time when a difference in smoothness would be notable is if you load the G10's weight carriage unevenly, which there's no reason to do anyways. Based on how much you want to lift, your best bet between these two options is the G10. You'll be able to easily load that much weight as long as you're not using bumper plates. I haven't used Force USA's steel plates. I've used their bumper plates and rubber-coated plates. However, I just Googled their steel plates, and it looks like they're basic Olympic weight plates, so yes, they'll fit on the G10. And these are the type of thinner plates you want to be able to add as much weight as you want to the G10's weight carriage. I assume you're from Australia? Just a guess since you said mate and it looks like that's the only place Force USA sells the steel plates. If that's right, just letting you know you can use my KING5 code for a small discount at the Gym And Fitness website where they sell the G-Series and other Force USA stuff.
