This movie had been on my list for a while and I watched it 3 weeks ago. "Gripping" is really the best way to describe it. I also loved Dano's performance but even more so Jake and Hugh. They all played their characters so well and seeing the detective and father both twist into desperation kept me glued. The score is also well done. Fantastic thriller/mystery. Good review btw and I like the ending you put on there for the subscribe. haha

Prisoners was fucking INCREDIBLE!!! Me and the wife flat out feel in love with Jake Gyllenhaal after watching it. I mean sure the guy had great roles before this, but he just felt so down to earth and grounded in this role. Absolutely amazing film!
Same. It blew me away when I saw it and raised my admiration for Gyllenhaal so much. Introduced me to some great actors I hadn't seen before too. I wish I'd talked more about Terrence Howard in this video.
I watched this video (and subscribed) after I recommended Jared from Avalanche Reviews watch it. He directed me to this video and I’m glad at least 2 people understand how underrated and incredible this movie is. Also, in one of the scenes where Paul Dano is locked in the shower and says “they’re in the maze”, Hugh Jackson responds with “come on man no more riddles”. Which is pretty funny looking back haha

I was just watching this movie yesterday,i loved this movie and it only made me like paul dano more as an actor he can play really convincing creepy mfs in movies.also never had any idea hugh Jackman was a good actor untill i saw this movie before this i only knew him as sexy claw man,nice video as always you've earned a sub from me bro

I’ve seen good time and prisoners and I liked them, like yeah I agree they’re both great. But also yeah I agree w u, I liked the Batman a lot but after thinking about it I feel like Paul Dano’s performance was just cliche. Like not even ass it was just “meh” which is worse. That’s like the only thing that I didn’t really like ab the film. I honestly kinda wish that riddler for most of the film was just text on a screen like in the url.rataalada scene.
Agreed. I thought Paul Dano was really good up until the interrogation scene, and he even started that very strong with the slow smile and slowly raising his hands. He lost me with "Bruuuuuuce... Wayyyyne..." and then the shouting and wailing just felt like slop to cater to people who wanted "This man is insane, and this is acting, this is a performance" spoonfed to them. Comically over the top, and it took me right out of the movie. But again, I think he was probably directed that way. He can be a really subtle, brilliant actor when he's directed appropriately.
