I read your comment before I saw that part of the video. It seemed in keeping with this channel's esthetic. Then I came to that part of the video. Hahaha
Back in the mid 70's when I escaped from my marriage, I moved into a cheap unfurnished apartment, with basically clothes, a 4-year-old in tow and little money. A couple of weeks later, the lady who lived upstairs came down and told me she had given custody of her 2 kids to her ex, was moving in with someone, and if I would clean up her place, I could have everything in her apartment, including the furniture. I spent that week (after work and the weekend), cleaning and hauling furniture and other necessities down the stairs, with the help of a friend. That is still the greatest gift I have ever received. I doubt there are many people out there who have never had to start over at some point in their lives. I wish you the best in your new journey.
@kibblenbits I am one who started over with just my clothes . I had friends who gave me 3 recliners an airbed and kettles snd dishes.tha was very kind. I owe them all thanks forever .
my back hurts here too (I am hurt here) but for that reason it is so relaxing to look at them do the work i can't do (I am so frustrated here while waiting for recovery :D)
honestly been there lol. I didn't buy curtains for about a month in our house. all the bathrooms were interior rooms so didn't need them. it got old fast sleeping thinking about ppl peeking in the windows tho lol.
That was...a shock to hear. Especially after everything you recently did with your house. My brain is screaming about all the logistics, her surgeries, etc, but I keep telling it, "That's theirs to handle, not mine or anyone else's." All I can say is I wish you all happiness.
Same. I fell asleep thinking about it and woke up the same. I know it was a mutual decision and not sad but it still feels sad as a fan. Hoping the best for you all. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the new place though.
That must’ve been hard to share. Life has a way of working out. Things fall into place. My decor advice is driving to a wealthy part of town and going to that Goodwill. 😂. I’ve found treasures. Here’s to new beginnings.
@@cristinmccloud1980 They've only got a couple of small charity shop in and around Newton. To get to a Goodwill, he'd probably have to drive 4 hours, round trip.
Another good way to find good second hand stuff is looking anywhere there are lots of students or new adults. Their tendency to move and reinvent themselves frequently often leads to them donating or giving away perfectly good items.
@@force311999 Yeah, I've lived within 15 minutes drive of one of the largest universities in the nation for decades now (different locations, started off near when attending it). I'm looking at getting a new microwave, and it's really a matter of money vs. effort in terms of getting one for cheap or free. All of our office chairs are second hand, because I refuse to pay a lot for plastic.
Long time lurker, first time commenter. I watch your videos because seeing someone turn mess into clean, to turn problems into peace, to turn despair into hope, is inspiring. I hope you reading our comments gives back to you that feeling you've given us.
Your last statement made me sad when you said because of your autism you didn’t have many friends and that we were considered your friends. What you are doing is amazing for your community. In the beginning I use to wonder why you said some of the things but now I get a giggle out of your comments. Keep your chin up. You are very knowledgeable and respected by me
I consider you a friend. I like your videos because you are unapologetically yourself. Too many TH-camrs have turned into algorithm robots. You do you and it works. I think if we met IRL we would get along great. So, friends 😊
Please don't be sad for us! We love our friends but we're in general very independent and private people. We value solitude and peace. We value friends and friendship, only we have to balance our lives in such a way that we have the energy for the necessities.
Thanks so much for the shoutout! Sorry to hear what you are going through but from the way you are talking it sounds like it is for the best. I subscribed and will be watching!
Having divorced my husband after 25 years of marriage, we are still best friends (we are essentially each other’s only friend). Seven years later our adult children and I go to his house for Thanksgiving, and he and the kids come to my house. Neither of us are in other relationships. I still love him dearly, but we cannot live together. Lol I hope you find your groove soon. 💖
@@strawberryme08 I'm heterosexual, and although most of my best friends are girls, I wouldn't want to be married to them. I couldn't be married without a healthy level of passion/romance. For some, companionship is the main goal. But for many people that isn't enough
@@thelamandapanda exactly! Well said. I couldn't live with my best friend without the presence of that romantic/passionate aspect of our relationship.
@@strawberryme08 Love changes types. My ex husband and I are best friends, and that's only because we divorced. We grew to love each other as friends, not as romantic partners, and staying in a romantic relationship was building resentment. Besides, they both deserve to find love elsewhere too.
Wishing you all the best during this transition. Life changes are difficult; be patient with yourself and accept all the love and help from friends and family.
Similar to how you did a GFM for Jason's place and arrival of his baby, would you consider doing one for yourself and this house as you start this new chapter? I would love to give a little something in appreciation of all the hours you've given me in TH-cam watching! Happy to give you a few bucks for some moose repellant for your new place :)
I was making dinner and had it on in the background and I said, out loud, "What the f*** did he just say?" You spend so much of your time, on a regular basis, watching someone's life and you feel like you know them. I was in shock and it doesn't have anything to do with me!
@@homeschoolteenswithjennyYes! I went back to watch it again to make sure I wasn't hearing things! It's so strange when you know someone but don't know them but you're invested
Wow. Did not see that coming. But then why would I? Social media leaves the illusion of intimacy but the truth is you're a perfect stranger why would we know your personal life? Wishing u both the best moving forward ... hope you are OK on the inside.... and yes looking forward to your new house journey thanks for sharing. Warmly from Jamaica.
It's tough starting over. My marriage ended after 15 yrs. I'm so happy for you both being able to stay friends and still care for each other. So healthy and wonderful for everyone involved. Thank you for the motivation and thank you for being a wonderful friend on TH-cam 🙏🥰
Just a thing I’ve observed from other creators who have become publicly single: you might want to figure out and state your boundaries about people flirting/commenting on your attractiveness in this forum. It’s not intuitive, and it’s possible for people who are trying to pay a free compliment or make your day nicer instead make you feel threatened or objectified. I’m sure you’ve already had some kind of experience with this, but becoming single when you’ve got enthusiastic fans can get weird, so try to communicate your boundaries as you go so you can at least tell who’s ignoring your stated comfort zone and who’s being unintentionally too much.
@@GhostofTradition They're better off apart. Just because they're alone now doesn't meant they're gonna be alone forever. Now they can both go find people they truly love while staying friends.
I never comment on your videos but this really resonated with me. I broke up with my partner of many years because I saw our futures were no longer compatible and we couldn’t come to a compromise. I basically left with nothing. Before I had moved in with him I had a whole bunch of things that I had “inherited” from family, old friends, and old roommates. And the basics really start to add up. A trash can, a frying pan, silverware, toilet paper, a shower curtain, bowls, a couch, you get the picture. I was dead broke and lived in a 200 sq ft apartment and slept on a twin mattress on the floor. It took me a long time before I got to the point where I started to feel okay. Some people think that if you’re the one to end things you shouldn’t be allowed to be in pain or grieve the relationship. But I did. It’s never easy or painless to walk away from a life you built with someone with the full intention of lasting forever. I know your situation is different but I hope you’re doing better now. Thank you for your videos; they motivate my autistic ass to clean and pull my shit together. And thanks for talking about this.
"Some people think that if you’re the one to end things you shouldn’t be allowed to be in pain or grieve the relationship. But I did. It’s never easy or painless to walk away from a life you built with someone with the full intention of lasting forever. " I wish I could share this message with everyone. I see some of my friends who leave abusive relationships struggling because other people think that because the relationship hurt and they ended it for their own good, they shouldn't feel pain or grief. And it makes everything so much harder for them at a time when they need the support and love the most. I'm glad you're going better now
Sorry to hear the news. Even though you are both ok it’s still difficult to start over. Wishing you all the best and can’t wait to watch you make this new house your home. ❤ don’t kick all the moose out.
Man this s*** needed to come with a trigger warning for me. A little over 3 years ago I lost the place I called home after an arrest. My then wife and daughter had to make the right choice and move out so we could sell the home. I then spent the following months crashing at my moms home if she felt like tolerating me that day, sleeping in my car in February in Wisconsin, being forced to live in a temporary living facility with some pretty tough criminals that had done major jail and prison time. I can't describe the emotions I had when I checked into that place and the caretaker had to legally ask "if someone tries to rape you, do you think you can fight them off?" Not a single appartment would accept me because of my arrest. I literally had to resort to buying a home without even looking at it just so I stay somewhat close ( 2 hours) to my little girl and try to be a father the best I can given the distance. The first time I saw my new residence was the day of closing. I cried, I had owned 2 other homes in my life and this one was the smelliest, oldest dump I had ever lived in. I was mainly sad because this is a home I would never be proud of to show my daughter. I'm happy for you that you didn't shed a tear over this change but man, at 37 I shed enough for you and then some. I still carry a huge guilt, I refuse to make my house "look nice" because I know my former wife and daughter had to suffer because of my actions. You turned a hoarder house into your home while I turned someone's home into my own personal solitary confinement. I envy your strength, but I'm content with my post-arrest decisions of how to live. Keep up the great videos Mack! ❤
@@pamgrubbs7455 I appreciate you kind words. I had a lot to fix about myself and 3-1/2 years later I have made a lot of progress and am a much happier person but the trauma I faced is something I think about daily because it's something that ended up defining me rather than something I can forget and move on. But I do embrace it in a weird way as it made me a better, more understanding dad.
I admire your sense of accountability, but true forgiveness isn't just about forgiving others, it's about learning to forgive yourself too. I truly hope you can free yourself of guilt and find happiness and peace. All the very best from East Yorkshire, England.
At the end of the day, you are a human being who deserves to feel happy and loved. Many things can be true at once. You can grieve the life you had and also live a new one. Wishing the best for you, man.
From across the world, I really felt the pain in your words. Ive struggled with feelings of guilt and want to share something that helped me: I wonder whether you could imagine your daughter, who you so clearly care about, in your position…would you want her to continue to punish herself after already experiencing so many frightening and disempowering consequences? Or would you feel compassion for her, and encourage her to move forwards? Self compassion is often hard to access during feelings of guilt, especially when your self esteem is rock bottom, but if you put a loved one in your place in your imagination, it can make it a little easier. And guilt seems to be putting you in a frozen state of feeling unworthy, scared to hope for anything better, maybe even worried if you can BE any better. But better benefits your daughter as well as you, so impossible as it might seem, I really hope you can start to find ways of quietening the bully in your mind that, to this stranger sounds unbearably cruel. You are suffering, and it’s ok to choose to be a little kinder to yourself. It doesn’t mean not taking responsibility, or letting yourself “off the hook”. Self compassion allows you to feel those things while also giving you space to create something new and more positive, for you and for everyone around you. One, tiny baby step at a time. I hope you’ll let the idea sit in your head over the coming days and weeks, even if it doesn’t immediately strike you as being possible. Sending some hope your way ❤️
Welcome to the single life. It has a lot of perks, especially when you’re autistic (I am as well). I have my kids at home still but I separated from my husband over 3 years ago, it’s hard to ever imagine living with someone again at this point. I like my space and things the way I like them.. alone time. It’s the best. I played animal crossing last night and then fell asleep watching the hobbit. No compromising with anyone ever, no hurt feelings bc of time spent apart.. I truly can’t believe I lived like that for so long. Hope you thrive in it!
I had to move back in with my parents recently only to discover that I require inordinate amounts of alone time, it’s a struggle! I really miss living alone!
Your comment on not having many friends really hits home with me. I've found that I may have fewer friends than neurotypicals, however I find my friends to be closer and more like family than most neurotypicals consider a "friend" to be. I've come to realize that's ok, and having the right people around you makes all the difference in your mental and physical health too. Starting over is hard and scary, but it sounds like it's the right move for you. Take care.
Make sure you take care of yourself, man. I know you give a lot of yourself and that means expending a lot of yourself and your energy. I believe you're a good person doing great things but don't forget you. Be well.
If there's a habitat for humanity near you, you can get your appliances, tile, anything you would need for your house. Just saying.😊 Good luck to you and your new endeavors.
I love the little tappity tap sound of you walking around, you sound like a cat with the zoomies running around the house! 😀 Congratulations on your new home, I hope everything works out well for you in your new situation.
Holy Smokes! I have to admit I was floored (seriously, no pun intended) by the revelation of your separation - especially on the heels of her recent health issues, surgeries, etc. I of course am happy to hear it is an amicable situation. I think that dedicating a house to such a noble cause is commendable, and truly hope that good fortune comes your way to support both yourself and your endeavors.
First video of yours that drew me to your channel was "This should be REQUIRED viewing before graduating high school!", found when I was at the end of my rope trying to figure out how to teach my ADHD teenager to help around the house. You've been such a help and a motivator in my life when it comes to cleaning and decluttering my home. Hope easier times are ahead for you. As a fellow autistic person who makes friends via the internet, I understand completely. We wish you nothing but rest and happy times in the future and thank you as always for taking us strangers along with you on this journey ♥
wow. thank god i'm not a youtuber - if all that happened to me my video would be six hours of me crying in a beanbag. im sorry you're going through all that. its brave of you to put it all out in the world and im glad you shooed the moose outside instead of just swatting them.
One day when you’re ready, let’s raise those curtain rods higher toward the ceiling and get curtains that just dust the floor. I promise it’s going to elevate your space and make the rooms feel bigger. Thanks for sharing! Excited for your new adventure and to follow along.
I love your cleaning videos, but i really like the remodeling and decorating videos a little more. It will be like Christmas watching you remodel and fix up your own place. Really looking forward to those videos.
Well, well! That news woke me up! I wish you and Emily all the best. I have done the starting over thing several times and I know you will be fine because you are hard -working and resourceful, you have Jason, and we all love you and support you❣️Thank God that house got plunked down into your life. There are no coincidences.
I'd just like to drop a comment about how motivating you are for me I have very bad ADHD and it affects me the most with executive function, so doing basically anything is really fucking hard, specially related to house chores, renovations and cleaning I'm from Brazil and most of the content on youtube here is from people who actually have money to spend (decorations, appliances and renovation stuff like paints, floors, etc are very expensive here in my town comparing to the minimum wage). When I stumble over US and Europe content creators, it's hard to give them credit because "those things are so much cheaper there" But your channel and the channels you recommend are different, you show real life houses that are kept by people who live salary by salary and that is so incredibly inspiring for me You and your channel are a big reason for how I'm being able to slowly organize my room and my thoughts enough to be able to actually start planning moving out of my mother's house and I thank you so much for that You're amazing, really! ❤
Hey, friend ChatGPT… I use it to cyber “body double,” help me keep my to-do lists straight and recommend task prioritization order. It also offers encouragement! Lol
Take it easy, one day at a time. I know it's old and cliche but "This too shall pass". Every break up, mutual or not takes time to recover from. If you feel lazy, uninterested or what ever, we can wait. Hugs, Mari
I think that was the bravest thing and video youve done. My hubbie has ASD, tog with all the bells and whistles. Tourettes, sensory integration disorder, OCPD and more. Not to mention his passion for trains and train time tables (yuo - hes a mathematican, actually a different kind of mathematician, hes a statistician) - which at times has been more excxiting to him than...."on offer", shall we say. We both laugh about it now. Best party stories ever.!!. But our children have left home, with partners of their own, weve been together almost twice as long as we werent, its our 36 anniv soon. SO - we are almost like brother and sister now but life would never be the same without each other. Conversely, Im the one with chronic pain, invisible illness and that drains us both. But we decided its better to live with a best friend than alone, and we have lots of personal space. I understand your burnout - both our kids are autsitic too, so I understand them well All the best to you, and your blessed to have great friends in your life!
Autism aside, there is something very appealing about you, you make people feel comfortable, so you would make friends if you put yourself in situations to meet new people. You struck up a great friendship with Bonnie very easily. You turned that kitchen into a proper working kitchen really quickly and well. Can't wait to see you cook up something delicious in it. And although I could do without the skulls (😱) your sitting area improved massively by setting up your things. Now you have a place to watch TV, to play games, to edit videos and to cook a meal. You also have a place to pee and wash. Not sure if you have any laundry room necessities yet, if not they will come. Is there a garage for your car and yard equipment? You work so hard, so constantly about the home that I don't see Emily coping too well with that big place on her own. I hope you don't end up burning yourself out by trying to look after both places as well as cleaning homes for the channel. Good luck Mack. You have got this. The moose will keep you company. With added benefit of not moulting. Road sounds very close so not pet safe.
Perhaps after recovery from the surgeries her overall health and energy will return and she can keep it clean and tidy without help. Or discover she too may need a smaller living space.
It's been 7 years since my ex and I had the conversation we'd been avoiding. I live in peace and calm of my own making. I love my apartment, my time alone, sleeping alone, pursuing my hobbies, etc. I have no desire to have another in my space again. I have close relationships with my daughter, mother, and brother; a movie friend, and a card playing friend. I can handle socializing about twice a month. I think you are going to really enjoy this new phase of life. Wishing you both the best. Im looking forward to seeing you curate your new home. 🖖
Hi I don’t comment much but been on TH-cam since I was 16 and I’m 30 now. I want to thank you for your beautiful content. It’s really helped a lot with my own domestic violence situation that I got out of a couple months ago. I’m now getting a divorce and trying to find a permanent home has been extremely hard. I’m also autistic and I love your humor. ❤
Wow, it’s been a rough time for you lately, I’m glad you’re coming out of your burnout 🙌🏻 Lots of big changes though so take it easy on yourself! Sorry to hear about your separation, even though it’s mutual it’s still change. Prayers for you! 🤗

sorry your marriage is breaking up Mack. On the other hand you sound much better, so Im wondering if it was that causing your problems. Best of luck on your new endeavors....I'll still be watching
Good luck to you and your wife as you each begin a new phase in life. You’re not alone, similar happens to many couples. What matters most is remaining as friends! Looking forward to seeing the improvements in your house 😍
Totally agree on the creative vs cleaning mentality. I will buy small new decorative items or organizers which motivates me to clean so i can put those items in place.
Good on both of you for facing reality and allowing each other a fresh start and a new chance. Probably a good thing that nobody knows where this is or you might have a long line of ladies outside. Lets face it, you're funny, caring, handy and know how to handle your moose. Quite the catch 🤣🤣
Small tip from someone who has decorated the houses of all the boys in her family and for quite a few others too... think about which of your favorite movies you could see yourself living in. Then when you buy furniture, etc you can decide whether it would fit into that world or not. Looking at your clothes or the clothes you would buy if money was no object and seeing if there’s a theme can also help. Good luck to you!
wow, what a great tip!!!!Or thinking of a movies or series house (eg the main character home). I honestly think that this is the single best interior advice I ever saw on social media.
Have stumbled onto your channel recently, am so impressed with what you and your son have done for those who don’t know where to start with their overwhelming house clutter. Very sorry to hear that you and your former spouse decided to split. You sounded quite sanguine about it, but in my experience, it’s a big adjustment. Wishing you and your family all the best! Thank you for the instructive videos!
A bitter sweet video, glad you're back and wishing you, your wife and Jason and his family well too. Thank you, I really appreciate your help in these videos, really helpful. 💛
Best wishes from the Netherlands! Resetting after a longterm relationship took me at least 2 years. Also R.I.P to your inbox, you're probably the most eligible bachelor on the internet. 🤣
For me this is the video which sparks the most hope. Life is forever changing, and you are dealing with it and see the positive side.... no grudge, just knowing a reset is necessary every now and then.
We could always do better, but we could do a lot worse, was our mutual conclusion during our 14th year of marriage. We're still friends most days & we're still married. That conversation was 24 years ago & it was a phase of being married one talks about! Although you'll both be fine, moose across this great nation are sad 😥 Even Canadian moose 🫎
Audhd mom here. I am so glad that your separation comes with so much understanding, respect and help. Starting over can feel overwhelming when you don’t even own a fork. I was single till early 30’s. My naive ass married the wrong person and moved country. Learned the hard way that you settle with whatever you believe you’re worth and that you ABSOLUTELY need a partner who understands and respects your neurodivergence instead of weaponising it against you. After years of abuse, I had to decide to pack whatever I could in the middle of the night, and as soon as he left for work I got my kids into safety with 130 in my pocket. I have lost everything I’ve built and very precisely curated in 15 years (cue multiple autistic meltdowns) but had the most important people with me: my kids. Had to learn the language in high speed, get a drivers license, a job + education and as for two months we live in a place that was absolutely WRECKED by the previous renters. We cleaned, got the most important basics und after that comes the building a home. Every month I have to decide how much I can spend to get the place a little better and though it goes slow and our kitchen still has no sink (yet); home is now a safe space for my small neurodivergent fam. Whenever donations are offered or free stuff is put on the curb I am not too picky how it looks. When you’ve lost everything, you’re happy with whatever works in that moment and you’ll be surprised how far a deep clean goes. The time for upgrades and luxury comes later. So as you are building your home, so are we. Cheers on your new journey and beware of the sneaky get smacked in the back attacks! 🥂
We're kinda in the same place... I've been widowed for 7 years. Can no longer afford the house we bought together. It's not fancy, but it was ours. Our child just turned 18. Only house he's known. So we're going to have to find a rental, and try to make things work. Here's hoping we both get stuff worked out.
For anyone that needs to hear it, term life insurance is made for this sort of situation. Think of it as survivor lifestyle insurance. Paying for those that rely on your income. It's relatively cheap too if you're 30s and younger and in good health. Much love to you amethyst for sharing your story and good luck! (And no, I don't make my living selling or advising life insurance. If I did, I'd be recommending long term expensive products instead of term life.)
Thank you for being considerate to your neighbors with the curtains. I know you spend hours per day flexing in the mirror, and I'm glad you won't be accidentally blowing out all of your neighbors windows or causing structural damage do their homes while doing so. I am sure they appreciate that, too. Good luck to you in this new season of life. It's going to be okay.
I'm glad you and the Moose decided to cohabitate during this stressful transition for y'all. Hopefully there are budget friendly moose flooring options you can find locally. I think I’m going to start videoing myself as I clean. Do you find that you do things differently knowing people are watching? I think I would do a better job. No one else would ever watch it so I wouldn’t have to worry that they would cut me down. Plus I can pick my nose if I need to. I know that makes you jealous….
You both handled this so maturely. But, don't forget to feel the feelings: the rage, the relief, the sadness and everything in between. Hugs to you both.
There are worse things than being by yourself... The worst way of feeling lonely is when somebody is right there next to you. Now you can hope for some happiness and wish it for her as well...

I used to go to the weathy part of town on bulk trash day and find all kinds of mint stuff
@@kobaltkween yes there is a college town nearby and at the end of every semester there is tons of stuff , lots a working computers etc
Any man that can be so honest and respectful to his exes is a good man in my opinion 👍
We expect so little humanity after breakups.🤷🏻♀️
This is just being civil.
@extramedium1 people get petty quickly.
Your last statement made me sad when you said because of your autism you didn’t have many friends and that we were considered your friends. What you are doing is amazing for your community. In the beginning I use to wonder why you said some of the things but now I get a giggle out of your comments. Keep your chin up. You are very knowledgeable and respected by me
I’m an 80 yr old but I consider you a friend and your family too. God Bless you son. You give great joy in what you do.
Thank you so much! I've been a fan of yours for ages. Best home repair channel on TH-cam.
@@MidwestMagicCleaning I'll DEFINATLY go check it out then!
If you’re best friends why not stay married? Isn’t that the whole point is to be able to be best friends? 🤔
@@strawberryme08 I'm heterosexual, and although most of my best friends are girls, I wouldn't want to be married to them. I couldn't be married without a healthy level of passion/romance. For some, companionship is the main goal. But for many people that isn't enough
@@strawberryme08 Basically they are just roommates. I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with my roommate.
Wishing you both well, not an easy conversation at all. Such a synchronicity that you were offered this house at that time ❤
Hi! Huge fan here.
Or maybe some goth make-up for said moose?!
I agree ❤❤❤❤
Me too!
Or an Amazon wishlist like you would have at a baby shower?
Me too!!
Wow... that was a shocker of an announcement... did NOT expect that!
I was making dinner and had it on in the background and I said, out loud, "What the f*** did he just say?"
You spend so much of your time, on a regular basis, watching someone's life and you feel like you know them. I was in shock and it doesn't have anything to do with me!
@@erinjohnson7504 Weird how that works, huh? But he just casually said it in this non-chalant way, and I was like, WAIT WHAT?!
@@homeschoolteenswithjennyYes! I went back to watch it again to make sure I wasn't hearing things! It's so strange when you know someone but don't know them but you're invested
Felt that… did not see it coming, but probably neither did they
I totally agree,😊❤😊❤
You are an exceptional human being and I wish you all the best with your new beginnings.
Damn! Jason is a beast in this video! Showing him how to do this stuff is paying off!
I know! Jason pulled his hair back and I knew he must some kind of serious. He was on a roll!
Filth got down & dirty on this one!
Good advice. Some people treat TH-camrs like a commodity and not real people.
Congrats on you both leveling up via a hard conversation and bravery ❤
That’s massive and takes courage! 🫡 💚💚💚
Achievement unlocked: Adulting the hard things.
umm two people are now alone how is that a good thing? it's a level down with "no fault"
@@GhostofTradition why are people so terrified of being 'alone'? It's better to be single than in a relationship that doesn't feel right anymore
I wish I could share this message with everyone.
I’m immensely proud of both of you, having this difficult conversation…
I hope things start to look up for you! You have to forgive yourself because you have a little girl that looks up to you!❤
@@pamgrubbs7455 I appreciate you kind words.
Here to say, Animal crossing+Hobbit sounds like a dream evening
I had to move back in with my parents recently only to discover that I require inordinate amounts of alone time, it’s a struggle! I really miss living alone!
The single autistic life has many perks, I agree.
Yes !! Truth !! Love having my place decorated the way I like !!

Yes! Mack has one of those radio voices! Totally soothing and wonderful to listen to!
Be well.
Typical autistic thing (iam autistic too & adhd ) ❤ really good and friendly reminder for „folk like us“

Glad to see you back to cleaning, Mack. Hope you both are doing well.

I have done the starting over thing several times and I know you will be fine because you are hard -working and resourceful, you have Jason, and we all love you and support you❣️Thank God that house got plunked down into your life. There are no coincidences.
I'd just like to drop a comment about how motivating you are for me
I have very bad ADHD and it affects me the most with executive function, so doing basically anything is really fucking hard, specially related to house chores, renovations and cleaning
I'm from Brazil and most of the content on youtube here is from people who actually have money to spend (decorations, appliances and renovation stuff like paints, floors, etc are very expensive here in my town comparing to the minimum wage). When I stumble over US and Europe content creators, it's hard to give them credit because "those things are so much cheaper there"
But your channel and the channels you recommend are different, you show real life houses that are kept by people who live salary by salary and that is so incredibly inspiring for me
You and your channel are a big reason for how I'm being able to slowly organize my room and my thoughts enough to be able to actually start planning moving out of my mother's house and I thank you so much for that
You're amazing, really!

I understand your burnout - both our kids are autsitic too, so I understand them well

My fiancée and I did our house this way, with our favorite shared movie. We live in (clean!) Howl’s Moving Castle
wow, what a great tip!!!!Or thinking of a movies or series house (eg the main character home).

You never know what might happen, best wishes friend
For anyone that needs to hear it, term life insurance is made for this sort of situation. Think of it as survivor lifestyle insurance. Paying for those that rely on your income. It's relatively cheap too if you're 30s and younger and in good health. Much love to you amethyst for sharing your story and good luck!
(And no, I don't make my living selling or advising life insurance. If I did, I'd be recommending long term expensive products instead of term life.)
Wow! That's big news. Glad you have this house to move into.
Wishing you the best. You have a lot of people who care about you out here in TH-cam land!
Wishing you a happy transition and hoping you get some cats soon to keep you company.
I'm glad you and the Moose decided to cohabitate during this stressful transition for y'all. Hopefully there are budget friendly moose flooring options you can find locally. And glad you are introducing them to alternative life options and getting ready for Halloween! Hopefully they learn how to high five without throwing out your back so you don't have to high five yourself. Praying everyone is happy, healthy, and healing going forward!
I hear moose can make excellent roommates. Just make sure they have slippers, otherwise it'll sound like tap dancers have taken up residence.
@@Libertybell2024 that's a really good point. I wonder if they make moose sized crocks? Then they could be stylin and muffled while having a dance party.
Hey in Latina Moose casa it's dia de Los Muertos cada dia baby 💀💀💀💀 those skulls are there permanently to lift the spirits (and summon a few too)
So sorry to hear of your separation. It surprised us after the previous video. Take care of yourself. Best to you and Emily.
Wishing you (and your 6 house moose... meece? that's not a word) all the best. Big changes are hard.
It SHOULD be a word 😂
I think I’m going to start videoing myself as I clean. Do you find that you do things differently knowing people are watching? I think I would do a better job. No one else would ever watch it so I wouldn’t have to worry that they would cut me down. Plus I can pick my nose if I need to. I know that makes you jealous….
You both handled this so maturely. But, don't forget to feel the feelings: the rage, the relief, the sadness and everything in between. Hugs to you both.
Wishing you all the best Mack 🙏🏼🙏🏼🤍
I wish both you and Emily a bright and happy future. Starting over is not easy, but we will pray for everyone involved.
There are worse things than being by yourself... The worst way of feeling lonely is when somebody is right there next to you. Now you can hope for some happiness and wish it for her as well... I admire your honesty and how well the two of you handled that. We are all in your corner, buddy! ... Or at least we will be as soon as we get that moose out of it, it's being pretty stubborn.
You and your wive are both very mature and brave. Wish you both a forever family/friendship and the whatever will make you happier to each of you . We only live once and life goes by too quick , enjoy it and both take care Thanks for sharing
I love that you make the distinction between "living" in the house vs. "existing" in it.
I had never thought of it that way, but it is oh so true!
You are so inspirational to people out there watching this video, who may be in a similar situation or mindset, who can draw strength from your wisdom. Thank you for being so honest, open and for sharing! Blessings ❤🙏
Amen to this comment. ❤❤❤❤
