    You dont have to apologize to anyone. I live alone and during the lockdowns I somehow brought more stuff into my apartment. My apartment is inly 400sq ft, and I although I cleaned it, I must have not cleaned well, because the roaches started living in all the boxes. I never kept food out, but those damn things got into my kitchen, refrigerator, oven and drawers. After the lockdowns, I slowly decluttered and in 2024, I moved most of my boxes to a storage unit. Then I left for three months. I didnt clean anything, I packed up and left. When I got home three months later, the roaches were all dead. I hired a cleaner and I moved more boxes out. Now I am selling the apartment. I will never be a hoarder again. It is too stressful and expensive.

    • @metrayhem
      @metrayhem  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@MKMG-b7b everyone that lives here has ADHD (not an excuse obviously but it is a cause for our struggle with cleaning) A doom pile is something a lot of ADHD people struggle with, it’s a pile that starts with one thing and then accumulates.
      The intention to avoid setting something down - and put it in its actual place - is our first step, but sometimes it’s hard. We do the best we can and sometimes it still ends up messy anyway. It happens. Some things work for us, some things don’t.

      But then one time, she left him in there and I didn’t realize for over an hour until he started crying. She also locked him in her mini fridge until he pooped all over it (and it was plugged in so I just threw it away). The last straw was I caught her as she was closing him in and she almost broke him foot slamming the door.

    that is a disgusting way to live, how can people live like this in daily filth and unorganization? It is so cool to walk in to a clean organized home everyday. I never leave dirty dishes or a dirty stove. I always fold and put up my laundry right away and the trash gets taken out daily. My bed is always made if I'm not in it. This way of life is peaceful with everything comfortable and it does aleviate stress and depression.

    • @metrayhem
      @metrayhem  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@cindycaycarter8855 I know that keeping a clean space helps with stress and depression. That’s why I’m cleaning. Every person that lives in this small apartment has ADHD, and we struggle with depression. That’s why it gets like this. It’s hard to keep a routine sometimes, setting something down often times turns into a pile.
      While trash doesn’t always make it to the trash can in the moment, trash does get taken out when it’s full. Dishes get put in the dishwasher when it’s empty, but sometimes we just pull clean dishes from it instead of putting them away.
      I don’t like having a mess, but sometimes it just happens in just two or three days. And I’m not just sitting in the apartment all day, I leave and we do things so cleaning gets put off.
      You can have your opinion that’s it’s “disgusting” to live with some dirty dishes and a pile of coats on the floor. Just know I’m grateful for your comment, it boosts my video :)
