August 3rd, 2019 -- For my 120th fishing session of this year, I tested the Mepps in-line spinner "Basser Kit." Did it work?! And if so, how well did it perform? Well...let's say that the results were quite astonishing!

Used in line spinners for 50 yrs and caught a wide variety of fish. Good video. Thank you.
I started changing a lot of my lures (including inline spinners) to barb-less circle hooks. I haven't lost a fish that I couldn't blame angler error on. It started off as an experiment in a body of water that requires barb-less artificial only. After 2 weeks of back to back fishing this way every day I'd fish this way anywhere and not give it much though anymore. Doesn't mangle fish lips either. Its been pretty nice.

a Mepps Aglia #2 w/ a silver blade and squirrel tail is my go to lure for smallmouth in the river

You should do a catch and review of vintage as seen on tv lures, the banjo minnow, the helicopter lure and true motion lures etc.... that would be a fun and interesting video to see
I just got the helicopter lure in a box at a auction I've only thrown it once but it has serious action

I use the #5 and musky killer sizes all the time for pike and pickerel but catch all sorts of fish large and small bass down to pan fish when you use #0-#4 mepps good lure
I caught my PB catfish on a spinner while I was targeting bass lol.
I recommend you try out those cheap fishing kits you get online.

Green sunfish are savage! I think they believe they are large mouth bass. They even hit my topwater lures when I'm fishing for bass.

Great Video, lots of fun! Future Video's?? Two places....Pungo River Bay BelHaven North Carolina, would love to see how you "figure out" a new place, and the other is the Tioughnioga River in Central New York. As you don't use a boat, there are a bunch of "fishing access" sites and few spots were you can get plenty of bank area to walk... be interesting yet again to see you figure that place out ( Lots of Small Mouth Bass and Walleye in the southern area, and trout north)

Storm 360gt search bait would be a good one swimbait to review. The 3.5" Works well for multi species and you can buy them at pretty much any big box store. Bought it for bass, but keep getting rainbow trout, know many more will go for it. Reccomend the green and white with red flake.

Hi Leo. Can you do a review of Panther Martin? I have a few of their "fish see uv" models but have yet to use them. You're the best!
I like Mepps, though have some success with Panther Martins. They do well for trout, but I've had good success with them for smallmouth bass, too.

Mepp’s Headquarters is in Antigo Wi. And they buy squirrel tails there from hunters so I”m assuming they also build their spinners there.

I notice some of these off brand (smaller company) lure have larger hooks and fatter feather or fur at the end (or lower quality hooks) , compare to the bigger name brand type
