Definitely been enjoying this compact setup more than I thought! Hope todays video helps you to see how good this combo is! 😁
This is such a killer and underrated setup! especially for everyday / run n gun stuff. This lens is next on my list to get. Appreciate you making dope content with the zv-e1! 👍🏽
Appreciate the comment! But yes can’t recommend this lens enough! The price, the size and being an f2.8 is awesome! If there was a 16-35 f2.8 this size it’d be unreal haha but oh well!
I have the T20 - 40 paired with A7Cii and I shoot in raw, so I have to use my own presets. How do you deal with the lens distortions, especially in video?
I haven’t noticed much of the lens distortion. Mainly because I just don’t try to over think it since most won’t notice it haha
What camera and lens setup was used in the first shot? Any color grading tips to get this look? Was this with one of the cinebloom filters?
I shot it with the a7siii and 35-150mm f2-2.8! And for the colour grading it’s with my custom LUTs that I made for my colour grading. I do use a cinebloom filter of 10%!
These are a few of the videos I’ve made on my colour grading:

@@EasyTigerCreative thank you for the info! And great video btw
@@bladerealm124 appreciate that a lot!
why is it so cropped in into your face? were you using dynamic stabilisation or were you zoomed in all the time?
I did because I had it all setup for usually having it on it like that for b-roll but usually isn’t so tight up haha
Do you think you'd prefer the Sony 16-35 if both were the same price and size? 16mm on the wide end seems like it would be much more useful than an extra 5mm on the long end, especially when a slight crop or dynamic stabilization could get the 16-35 to 40mm
If the 16-35 wasn’t so big then yes. I would prefer a wider lens but they’re all pretty massive sadly. Tamron is coming with a 17-50 but it’s an f4 sadly haha but definitely a little wider would be more useful for the dynamic stabilization honestly
@@EasyTigerCreative the new 16-35mm f2.8 GMII cut down on some size and weight but it is still .9" longer than the Tamron 20-40mm, .6" wider in diameter, and 200g heavier. I've been trying to decide on the best first lenses to get for the ZV-E1 and I'm leaning towards the GM for it's versatility even though the Tamron setup looks great. The Viltrox 16mm f1.8 also looks interesting but then I'd have to switch to a longer focal length frequently like a 35mm.
I guess footage with the native Sony lenses could be less shaky... How about new 16-35 pz? F4 is not a big problem for this low-light beast :)
Is the DAS shaky with this lens? Thanks
It can be! If I step too hard it’ll kinda be shaky still I’ve noticed. But can be fine just gotta be careful.
would you mind sharing a jpeg and a raw 12 mpix photo with the group ?
Yes! Let me set up a google drive link to a raw photo and then an edited version of it!
Here’s the google drive of a quick photo I took and edited for an example!

@@EasyTigerCreative perfect thanks mate
@@imranalijafar you’re welcome! I’ll see if I can add a portrait later today too!
How’s that compare to the fx30 since it’s the same price
Well the fx30 will be better for like longer periods of shooting, but I think the zve1 has better video features for the price point since you get full frame, better low light, and other great features that the fx30 has as well and the auto framing too! Zve1 might overheat but I haven’t had it happen to me but I know the fx30 is supposed to have better heat dissipation to not overheat but I’d still prefer the zve1 for full frame and better low light.
@@EasyTigerCreative does the zve1 have the 30 min record limit?
@@TonyHoangPodcast I think it does but I’m not 100% certain since I never shoot for that long continuously
@@EasyTigerCreative I’m looking at getting a camera for a podcast. Which of these two would you recommend?
@@TonyHoangPodcast I’d probably go with the fx30 then if you’re wanting to do longer periods of recording and don’t need lowlight capabilities since if you’re recording a podcast you can setup studio lights if needed and you’ll be better off in my opinion.
