Decca Gold Series released an LP with his music in the US in the 1960s with Newell Jenkins conducting the Clarion Concerts Orchestra. Around the same time some of his music was released in Czechoslovakia by Supraphon. I don't own these recordings - yet - but once I get them I'll post them on my TH-cam channel.

I would begin with the old Archiv recordings of the trio sonatas and orchestral works. Good recordings of the choral music are harder to find, on Czech labels like Nibiru, though there are some worthy recordings on Alpha.
See my comment on Zelenka's 4 last masses interpreted by Frieder Bernius. Knowing more or less all the works of Zelenka, that would be my recommendation.
Very interesting. Frieder Bernius made wonderful recordings of Zelenka's 4 last masses (Missa Votiva, dei Patris, dei Filii, Omnium Sanctorum). These 4 last masses, as a set, are what I would select for "If I Could Choose Only One Work by Zelenka" ! Also my personal recommendation to someone who wants to begin to explore Zelenka's music.
When I worked as Buyer/Sales Director for Tower Records International, (the overseas division of the late, great Tower Records chain,) I remember sending a bunch of those Zelenka Supraphon choral works to Tower Japan and Tower Hong Kong. When I was there to set up classical rooms, I recall Zelenka CD sets, though not ordered in large quantities, sold quite well. The Trio Sonatas too are amazing! So Zelenka was a hit with Japanese and Chinese classical customers.

Just a word to explain why I recommend so much Zelenka's 4 last masses. At first sight, one could consider keeping only the 3 last ones ("Missae Ultimae") as, globally, his masterpiece : Missa dei Filii is usually the most appreciated although some prefer Missa Omnium Sanctorum, and Missa dei Patris is very good too ! But, doing so, you would not keep Missa Votiva which is arguably Zelenka's masterpiece ! And if you keep only Missa Votiva, you do not keep Missa dei Filii, other masterpiece ! So, I do not see other option that to keep the 4 masses, which, in addition, have been all 4 wonderfully interpreted by Frieder Bernius. Sorry to have been a little bit long.

Thanks for suggesting this composer. Heard 2 hours worth of his music and I'm pleasantly surprised.

I read a blog post that claimed all great classical music had already been found and recorded; I wonder if the author was aware of Zelenka.
