- One annoying little 100 point loss, other than that pretty clean run!
There is a perfect combo at the start of the level the my friend Munch n Chomp came up with but I've only hit it twice in about 2 and half hours of trying to hit it, so probably not rta viable for now.

I see now that I have highly underestimated the exploration Factor in this video game
It's called adventure for a reason.
Yeah lol, a lot of people think this game has no exploration whatsoever for some reason. It has some really cool stuff like a hidden spring in radical Highway that immediately gets you to the top of the bridge section

@@yehaamedia3336same here lmao, while watching this video i came to the realization that... not understanding that SA2 is a score attacj game is like playing a Fighting Game and then complaining that it doesn't have Platforming in it like Smash Bros does.
Today I learned that Sky Rail is an absolute treasure mine for extra lives.
Pretty much every level is if you know what you’re doing

And for losing lives
Tbh I kind of enjoy watching runs like this more than more straightforward time attacks. Those are cool too obviously but there’s something I find super satisfying about racking up a high score by turning over every stone in a level, especially in a game like SA2 where the trick system has a ton of obscure triggers/routes that I’d guess most players never even see.
Sonic adventure 2 is my favorite game of all time and vids like this prove to me that the haters just keep missing out. So much depth to the levels and movement even despite some of the jank this game is just amazing and replayable
Score runs, I love to see that. Getting everything there is in a level has always been one of my favorite things to do in the early 3D games, this is pretty cool. Haven't explored SA2 levels too much compared to SA1 and Heroes so super neat to see all the hidden stuff I never noticed in this level lol

Although i still perfer the Dreamcast Sonic Adventure and view it as the best pre-boost 3D Sonic controls, i am still amazed by how clean the runs in SA2 can get, especially with how wanky the controls can be. congrats, mate!

This video is just more proof that the controls and physics of SA2 are the best that 3D Sonic has ever felt. Everything has weight to it, momentum works as it should, etc. Breaks my heart that we've only gone downhill since then in regards to these things!

@@miadatenshi9903 Funny, most people that I see play this game are absolutely terrible at it, because they have no idea how to skillfully control the characters. That's what it sounds like for your case.
@@3godzilla3 any game can be mastered. Just because you can be good at the game doesn't mean the controls are good. By that logic Forces and 06 have good controls
@@miadatenshi9903 Not what I meant at all. What I meant is that you're probably not good at playing a Sonic game. The controls are so good in this game, it's not like 06 which has terrible controls where you have to jump through hoops just to play it correctly. SA2 has zero hoops to jump through to have good control, every character (except maybe the mechs) have fluid controls and just the right amount of weight to them. So it sounds more like a skill issue than anything.

The movement to get them fast enough to be worth it is quite tricky and they'd only net you about 30 points or so, so I chose to just play it safe and do the easier movement.

SA2B is for now the greatest Sonic Remaster of all time at least until Sonic X Shadow Generations Comes out

It's a high score run, so as many points as you can possibly get.
Is pausing like that allowed?
I can tell this has fixed deadzones because of the rail switching.

Score bonus goes down by 20 points/second, I got pretty much every ring that nets points in the end.
why didnt u use bounce bracelet for combo here
Shadow doesn't get bounce bracelet, only sonic does.

Watching all your score vids currently and they are cool but i don't think i or speed fans could ever get along with score based rank fans since we are not playing the same games at all and want different things from them. Also if you like score attacking sonic adventure 2 ever thought about score attacking megaman X or Zero games cause those capcom franchises have the best ranking system of any game imo. Also even watching this i don't see the appeal to slowing down and playing slower when to me sonic games are about learning stages and how to break them and create flow with the levels with the additions of skips, exploits, and sometimes even glitches all in the name of speed with deep and intricate level design or mechanics and exploits to add a lot of deph and nuance that encourages and engagement and forces it to an extent. I hope this comment doesn't come off as rude or anything cause like i said these runs are impressive but i am not fond of this style of gameplay for sonic so i have loved the way speed has been emphasized again lately and with that said favorite things are lost world time attack mode, Unleashed ranking system and Sonic advance 3 medal system along with sonic frontiers extreme mode cyberspace ranking system when it comes to favorite sonic ranking system stuff.
Honestly I enjoy all categories in this game, score is just a different balance of speed and routing and it's also quite underdeveloped relative to speedruns.
I've done score attacks in other games in the past like frogger, geometry wars and bullet storm, these days score attacking in this game and some fairly casual level resident evil speedruns keeps me happy, both feel very rewarding.
@@dave9515 Exploits and glitches were never meant to be part of the time attack experience and they are honestly not that fun.
