Great picks! The Real Thing didn’t leave my vehicle in ‘89, love the title track. Take away the shit cover song from Ram It Down & you got a good album, my favourite is Blood Red Skies.
Inner Self is my fave song from that Sepultura album. My pick: Motorhead - Orgasmatron . this is one of my fave Motorhead tunes of all time - it has it all: the anger, the defiance, the anti-establishment lyrics that compliment the music. Such a bad ass tune 🎸🎸🔥🔥
Nice response Mike! I can remember Paul & me going to ‘Action Recs’ in Preston one weekend… back in the day… & coming home with ‘Beneath The Remains’ & ‘Slowly We Rot’! Good impression of ‘Malcolm McLaren’ btw, lol!🤘🏻
Good variety, and a surprise to see Marillion in there because so far it’s been all metal and hard rock in the videos I’ve watched. I had Mean Streak in my original selection, but I’ve mentioned that album twice this year so far, so I decided to pick something else. But it’s a great song!
Nice response, Mike! There's a few here I don't know too well, or at all, but the ones I do are all absolutely superb albums and songs! I'd find it VERY difficult to pick a favourite from either Dirt or Beneath the Remains though, so fair play on those! Good to see you mate, as always. Cheers! 🤘
Great response there Mike. Good shout with Poison and Faith no more, two excellent songs that are the standouts for me on those albums. Ram it down is ace. Nice to see some Y&T as well.
Hi Mike!! great response to Thomas challenge.... i think you're right about Ram it Down. Y&T has to be one of the most uunderrated bands from the US 80's hardrock scene and Meniketti too. Nice FNM choice, back in the day i also played that cd a lot and "Surprise, You're Death" is also one of my favorite. Keep hearing good things about Vain, time to give it a try.... cheers
Great choices Mike!! Marillion, absolutely love that album, fantastic!! Yes Fish era for me too. Ignorance, that’s a new one on me… I have that Sepultura on OG vinyl, time to pull that out I think. Judas Priest, I saw them on the Ram It Down tour, I actually like the album quite well, just saw them again on the 4th in Southern Michigan
Awesome response to Thomas's thread, Mike! Good to see Judas Priest, Sepultura and Exodus. Faith No More's The Real Thing is pretty overlooked album bit it's definitely a good one.
Cool response. I´m going to do one as well, I promised Thomas to only show OG pressings, hahaha... "Beneath..." and "Slowly..." came out on the same day in Europe, I remember buying both LPs and spinning them for weeks and months.
Oh I didn't realise that. I got them close together though I know that. I looked on your video but I know nothing about those ones for sale but I'm sure some people will be jumping on them. Looking forward to seeing your response video.
Excellent stuff,Mike. All classic albums, mate. Love that Vain album, and the Poison one. The 2 Y&T albums you have shown are awesome, ive only got a best of cd these days ( Forever is the epic track). I saw Mordred on that tour at the Tivoli in Buckley. Couldn't remember who supported them. The first 2 AIC albums are the only ones I picked up on vinyl. I think Introduce Yourself is a better FNM album for me. Good choices with Sepultura & Exodus, mind.
I love Introduce Yourself too. Not sure which I like most. I'd say I could Introduce just by a nose. Great you seen Mordred on that tour. My mates went to the Manchester one and I can't remember why I didn't go 🤔
Some great choices here mate 🤘I own a few of them but I have some other favourite tracks other than the titles. Heavy Metal is my favourite on Ram it Down, the intro gets me every time 🤘😝🤘
Beneath the Remains is a classic album, as is The Real Thing. Template for the decade to follow. Also have a soft spot for Ram It Down, because it was my first Priest album. Confession time - I actually like the version of Johnny B Goode.
Nice picks Mike. I have to agree with what you said about Fabulous Disaster, the first 3 songs are the best by a mile. Though I do enjoy Like father like son. I also agree about Lane Staley, I've never liked his vocals much. I prefer the later Alice In Chains for the vocals, even though Dirt may be their best album. People always get annoyed when I say that for some reason 😂 Beneath the Remains is my favourite Sepultura album it's amazing! I was thinking about picking this album for my video, I might just forget you picked it and go with it! 😂🤘🏻
Haha yeah you go with what you feel, doesn't matter if you agree with another video. Fingers crossed that Thomas even comments on your video cos he hasn't on mine yet the little turd 😂
@@metalmickey Thanks man, yeah I'll go with my gut I think. That's true, overlap isn't such a bad thing. Haha, hopefully he'll pull his finger out soon! I'll just tag and @ him 300 times to make sure he sees it! 😂😂
Alice Cooper - From the Inside Deep Purple - Burn Eagles - Hotel California Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast Judas Priest - Firepower Kiss - Lick it Up Kansas - Point of Know Return Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon Savatage - Gutter Ballet Vandenberg - Alibi And yeah, Ram it Down is much better than its reputation would suggest, although I didn't care for it when it came out. I even liked Johnny B Goode.
Great stuff Mike. Exodus and Sepultura is the only two I can agree with, don't know the rest of it well enough. The only good song on Faith No More is Surprise! You're Dead! But then again, I don't like the band in general, haha. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great video,, saying about bands that were influenced by Faith No More ,can you remember a band from I'm guessing 90/91 called The Crazy Gods Of Endless Noise,, from memory the vocals sounded a lot like Mike Patton, but my memory isn't that great...Ram it down is still a good listen...
Can't remember that band and with a name like that you won't forget it. The early 90s was a case of anything goes wasn't it. Metal and Rock was all over the place.
@@metalmickey sure was ,,I saw them on a promotional tour in a pub in Falmouth,,they had a few EPs and an album called Heavy Planet,,but it was the same as a load of other bands out at the time..
Great video Mike me old fruitbat always makes me laugh when I see how you’ve condensed your CDs dude fake play. What’s going on with this stream of ours? I’m gonna do a vid this week kicking off my start into the industry 😉 also got a fancy intro coming like I’m a facking pro hahahaha 🤣
Ive had a rough day today mate. I'm absolutely delighted to have you on a livestream but I need to take a break from everything for a while. I'm not in a good place just now. If you wait for me to feel better that's great but if you want to do it with someone else or on your own because you want to get it done then I understand. I'm not able to go on camera at the moment though mate.
@@markyogapark Ah right ok. Well I'm no more versed in them either tbh mate. I know the Atom Seed album and Mordred but I've not heard the rest. The singer from Atom Seed just killed himself during COVID unfortunately.
Great picks! The Real Thing didn’t leave my vehicle in ‘89, love the title track. Take away the shit cover song from Ram It Down & you got a good album, my favourite is Blood Red Skies.
Yeah that's a great song, probably my second favourite but Ram it Down is just so energetic and immediately gets me going.
Great response, Mike! I agree with that POISON selection, easily the best song on the album!
Unusual song for Motorhead that wasn't it. Cheers dude

That Seps OG is expensive nowadays. That Priest tour would have been cool who supported them?
@@metalmickey I believe that was Cinderella, they were excellent live
Y&T Meanstreak, definitely my fave t rack on the “Meanstreak” album

Quality response, sir. It's an interesting thread started by Thomas that has me reaching for the collection 👍
Good idea I look forward to seeing yours mate.
Alice Cooper - From the Inside
Deep Purple - Burn
Eagles - Hotel California
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
Judas Priest - Firepower
Kiss - Lick it Up
Kansas - Point of Know Return
Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon
Savatage - Gutter Ballet
Vandenberg - Alibi

I considered Bark at the Moon actually 🤘
Great idea Mickey I think I might do a response for this. I found that Ignorance on cassette awhile ago and wish I would have picked it up.
Yeah if it was cheap you shouldve grabbed it dude
That Vein record is good, I never hear of them when that came out....only heard it a few years ago. They flew under the radar
The supported Skid Row on the 89 tour so I knew them from that. Lots of other bands went passed me though
Y and T and Marillion are great guns. Going to watch Thomas and his video next!.🤘
Yeah get yourself involved mate
That Ignorance album sounds interesting, must check it out
Yeah give it a go mate 🤘

Not much of an alternative metal guy i think
@@metalmickey No, alternative metal was something I never got much into. Or glam......
Ram It Down is very much of it's time, just like Turbo, great Judas Priest albums that are all too often shot down. Great response mate.
Yeah I'm not a Turbo hater either. One of the easier threads I think this one. Hope you are well 🤘
Holy shit, ive never seen anyone else talk about Ignorance before. Ive got The Confident Rat Positively Shocking CD. Great stuff 🍻
Ah cool. What about The Beyond ? Another band who always gets ignored
Nope. Know nothing about The Beyond. Ill check them out. Same vein as Ignorance/early Faith no More?
@@saintsabbathi No but they're quite unusual and were almost lumped in with each other. Try the song One Step Too Far
Not bad at all. Definitely got their own sound.. though they do remind me of another band, cant quite put my finger on it, but good stuff. Thank you.
