I love that Priest album too it's a 'secret' gem of theirs, too many great songs to dislike it. The Leppard one I could never really get into, unlike the debut (maybe because Priest's Tom Allom produced it, they should've stuck with him in my opinion instead of later turning into a pop band) it was such a change with the Mutt connection it didn't click with me until they got more commercial with Pyromania.
I’ve never heard that ‘Demon’ album… I must change that eh. ‘Rush’ are a band that have grown on me more & more over the years… love that album. I’m catching up on watching loads of videos… including yours Mike. Good to see you mate🤘🏻
Delighted to see Demon make it in. I get what you mean with Killers (and the debut from the last video) but I've heard them that many times now I do recognise the songs and can name them - I have Drifter on loop in my head right now!

Great stuff Mike, I think Moving Pictures is the pic of these albums for me but all really good pics including the Demon album, which I don’t have 😃 I Love you Man was that Paul Rudd movie you’re thinking of “ Slappin The Bass” 😂fun movie
Another interesting list, Mike. Odd seeing Killers so low but I must admit it's not an album I reach for very often. Accept, Rush and Hard of Hearing Cat are 3 bands that i can't get away with. A very valid point about Venom too 😂
@@seanbeast939 I can't argue about Rush and Accept. They aren't for everyone but I'm all about giving the older ones a chance again...and again 😂. Shorter albums and pleasant production goes a long way now with me.
Kind of reminding me of my series going thru the years, though I wasn't so much looking at the TOP releases as much as the top releases of the ones I currently owned on vinyl. Another excellent video Enjoying these. Killers is my favourite Maiden album. I appreciate what you say about albums that you can’t really remember the individual songs. With Maiden on Piece of Mind and Somewhere in time. No idea how the longer songs go, away from the live staples. Venom are an odd ball band. For a band that was much more influential than the traction they gained. As I’m from the North East, Neat records was a big deal. Big enough for HMV to have a full window display for the release of Possessed in Newcastle. Venom were interviewed on local metal radio on a regular basis. But by ‘84 their bubble had burst. The gig at Newcastle City Hall was not even half full. I love the early albums. But not many people did. 81’s Welcome to hell is for me a classic. I don’t think anyone took their ‘satanism’ seriously. I don’t remember them ever claiming to be devil worshipers. It was all tongue in cheek. That clearly didn’t translate to audiences in the US. Let’s face it by 86 they were considered a bit, well naff in the UK. Metallica et al surpassed them with professionalism, song writing and increasing brutality. The into to Leppards, Hit n run is great. My favourite album by them. Diary of a madman is very good. An album from ‘81 worth checking out, is Y&Ts Earthshaker. A far cry from their pop rock later in the 80s.
Cheers mate. I do have a couple of Y_T actually. Black Tiger and Meanstreak. I didn't get into anything else they did especially that later ones as you said
All great picks, I had a feeling you’d have that at #1. Killers is one of those albums that I can play in my head at will. Early Venom is awesome, but I don’t need to own or listen to anything past the first four albums.
Killers is a great Maiden album. It was the first I bought by them (on cassette) and I played it to death, so when you said those song titles I can genuinely replay them in my head. I think a lot of people overlook it and aren’t as familiar with it as they should be. Its a ‘between’ album, between the debut with its impact and the impact of Number of the Beast, first with Dickinson.
I'm enjoying this style of video mate I actually find myself listening to killers more an more it's easily a top 5 maiden album for me these days demon is a recent discovery for me as well I definitely want the 1st two albums in the collection at some point looking forward to your picks for the rest of the decade
Hi Mickey! At the end of the day, it all depends on what you're listening to, and therefore on what you've discovered at one time or another and the impression it's left on you. One thing's for sure: you have to be free to listen to and enjoy what you want, without being laughed at by others. A childish attitude that has absolutely nothing to do with the rock 'n roll spirit. Also, we shouldn't always take everything so seriously, the world is serious enough as it is. Cheers dude! 😊🤘
Killers could be my favourite album of all time on a good day! Just a monster of an album. I had the original cassette and wore it out going to school the little time I did go haha. Great video mate 😉🤘🏻

Their new album is worth a listen. it's very much in the same style.
Hi Mike!!! i think i know what ypu mean with Maiden's second album, its a great album, but some songs can easily be forgotten by name, but the minute you start playing them you recognize it and that's odd too. Venom might be an acquiered taste for many heavy metal fans. cheers mate
'Night of the Demon' is really good IMO... in particular Side A (Side B is a bit weaker). "Son of a Bitch" is hilarious - love it :) Agreed on 'Moving Pictures' - fantastic album. Totally subjective and dependent on your tastes. For example I like more songs by Iron Maiden than I do by the Beatles or Bob Dylan (better than him, easily). I am sure there are many people who would think that’s madness. But I would also think someone saying Iron Maiden are not very good songwriters is ridiculous.
