Hi Mark, I sometimes do Playalong lesson videos. I've been so busy trying to get new content up, I haven't done any recently. Maybe I will pick them up again.
Your lesson was not complete as far as I was concerned you should have played the entire song so we could play along with you I was disappointed in that. The rest of it was good though
Please help me I love guitar music and I've always wanted to play I'm 61 and I love your videos and I know you can help me I would very much appreciate the help ty
Hello Lauren, from the UK. I've struggled with the guitar but enjoyed your tutorials. You may like to know that this tutorial works fine using my Baritone Ukulele and playing the same chords!
Hi Brian, this is an EASY Fingerpicking lesson. Here is the difficult one: studio.th-cam.com/users/videoSXSVQ_rb4rE/edit You may want to try this playlist: th-cam.com/play/PL10FTzm-zsiJTviS73rT6mt9jIl3N1UcO.html
I am 71 years of age and this is something I've always wanted to do. Love your tutorials, I feel more comfortable about myself and feel I'm learning so much❤
hey Lauren, still taking recommendations? would love to see an easy version of John Denvers "Thank God Im a Country Boy". Still learning and still loving your videos, they have helped a TON. Thx
Thank you, James for the recommendation. I get lots of song requests so I cannot guarantee that I will get to it, but I will definitely add it to my list.
Thanks Lauren You are being really helpful I would request if you could help me with an easy version of Somewhere over the rainbow by IZ Thanks again, i really enjoy your classes
John I used to but copyright laws sometimes block my content. So I no longer sing or do a lot of demo. I know it stinks. It really stinks when you put hours into making a video Lesson only to have it blocked by TH-cam and the copyright owner.
I have changed from a thumbs down to a thumbs up. At the time of the thumbs down I was on night shifts and when I don't get enough sleep I hate everything. lol
Awesome video I always enjoy watching you but I must say it made me sad that you didn't play and sing the song for us. I always look forward to hearing you sing and play the songs.. Going to go back and watch can't you see so I can hear you sing and play that :)
I love your lessons. But what would be awesome, is after the lesson, or maybe a different video, you play the whole song, as you just taught. No one else does this, and I think it would really give you the edge over the other tutors.
@@LaurenBateman ohh ok thanks actually my friends and I are going to sing this song this coming sept 5th soo i was the one to play guitar tht's why😁 thanks for the tutorial😇
Thanks for the lesson, I was expecting you play through it, though. Since this is a beginner's very first song with chords, it would be beneficial to show how to actually strum the song. You said the chords were GG EmEm DD CG. When do you play the chords? When they appear on the tab? Then where does the strum fit in, I ended up trying to just make the strum fit the song as I was was having difficulty with the DDDUDU pattern. It didnt seems to fit. Thanks again. :)
Unfortunately playing through songs risks them getting completely blocked by TH-cam and my channel getting shut down. So I try not to do things that while risk my channel being deleted by TH-cam. To answer you other question, please take a look at the chord chart on my website
Hi Lauren, I really like your style your style of teaching. You are easy to understand with a soothing voice and good speaking tempo. Like Steve, I was hoping to hear you play it through so I could copy you. An idea would be to post videos to Vimeo or Streamable and let us follow along outside of TH-cam. Just a suggestion to make your material even more useful. Thanks you regardless. Keep up the great work!
Hi Lauren, love this tutorial for this song but one question I have is what can be used for an introduction for this song. I've seen various online where it's the same note 4 different times but each version is a different note. What would you suggest for a beginner level?
Hi Dale, I used to do that but I get hit with copyright infractions. I've had complete lesson videos of mine blocked in the past for doing just that. So I don't do that anymore. You can thank the copyright holders :(
@@LaurenBateman A link to the past if my old eyes don't deceive me lol.... May I ask your age? I was playing that at the age of 14 I believe in about 1991! By the way I am a beginner and I have learned so much from you already. I think you're terrific.
@@LaurenBateman you know what I found was really helpful? the wagon wheel full walkthrough at 2 speeds. I think I have probably watched and played along with you like 50 times at least. I am still kinda terrible, but I can actually do it now. Glad I decided to try and learn the guitar during COVID lockdown. Thanks for the help getting me through these rough times :)
@@LaurenBateman yes thankyou, the strumming patterns are easy & the chords are becoming easy but putting them together is the hard part for me atm (you seem to go too fast for me to understand exactly where I'm meant to change chords at which part of the strum) & keep the beat too, tbh...)

Have you done a full play through for this song?
I don't think I have yet.
thank u , Great instruction . I use a capo on the second fret and it makes it sound better to me. still a beginner but taking chances.
Yes, for a woman's voice capoing it can make it easier to sing.

simply lessons means strumming only, no plucking
Hi Brian, I'm a little confused. I go over the strumming pattern for Country Roads here. If you don't want to do finger picking then don't do it.
Hi lauren .. thanks to you now I feel motivated to pick my 🎸again 'n "scratch" some 🎼🙏🏻
Thank you so much, Lauren. Like for this lesson.👍

Nice, Lauren! I'll be playing this tonight!
Hey, instead of fm7 chord, what about a small T chord instead?
Tim whatever works for you.
Can i use your easy C chord for this song?

I love this song, I have had a few tries at playing it finger style, with not a lot of success, do you fancy teaching it, fingers crossed.
I did do a finger picking version. Search Lauren batman country roads Fingerpicking
Hi Lauren, I really enjoy your videos here... could you please do LA BAMBA ? Picking ( intro ) and strumming please...
Great suggestion! Will keep this in mind for future videos. Thanks for watching :D
On full measure we use the DDDUDU but what strumming pattern is used on the half measures, so for example the CG on the Verse?
You could do
D D for one chord DUDU for the other chord. Two beats each
