This was the first song I ever learned to play on guitar, back in '76. Every time I pick up a guitar, it's the first thing I play, even now, 47 years later!
I love your finger style version of This Old Guitar and I’m learning it now. But this song is a fun and easy one to strum while picking out the root notes. I'm 72 and have been strumming chords for well over 56 years. I bought a Martin D-18 identical to yours about 6 months ago and I am determined to learn finger style. I was doing a fairly good Travis pick when I first found you. TH-cam demos are helping me make a giant step in learning country and folk songs I've sung along to for years. You have a great formula for teaching…slow and easy, step by step. Thanks for sharing.
