I tried to do this with my bf at a picnic, just me and him. He was at the picnic for 2 hours waiting for me despite me prepping the ingredients the day before. I cried the moment I saw him bc he was so patient and was not mad at me, but I felt so bad I made him wait that long and go hungry😭 My mom ended up helping me even though she worked at home and was very busy, I cried making the food lmao. I brought him homemade food, two different types of sandwiches one was cooked chicken with mayo, tomato lettuce, arugula, in a panini press. The other was bacon, cheese and jam in the panini press as well. I brought him homemade kimbap, and another food I can’t remember. I brought, plates, napkins, utensils. He brought store bought wings lol 😂 He hugged me and told me it’s okay and appreciated the effort and time it took me to make him happy. I’m still learning how to cook and that was 2 years ago. I’ve improved 😎
@tiffyycooks you're a good wifey! As a korean I know the recipes you cook for your hubby is not as easy as seen on your videos kimbap is very time consuming!!! My husband is chinese and his food is also not easy!!! But I hope one day my sons find such a thoughtful beautiful and happy wife like you!!!

as a korean this is so wholesome! btw if u want to make a more authentic (and better too IMO) version, season the rice with sesame oil, salt and sesame seeds! traditionally kimbap isn't seasoned with vinegar, one of the main differences from sushi :))

I'm getting up in age so life gets in the way for everyone so it's understandable but sometimes it just feels nice to feel young again surrounded by laughter on that one special day.
